My 30 days or my money back!

This is RIDONKULOUS... i payed almost 70€ for my game! And i will do as i allways have, i buy timecards if i like the MMO.

So my plan was to use the main part of my 30 days, to see if i want to sub. And if that was the case i would get a prepaid game time code, but there is no way for me to set that up... you just want me to sub via a creditcard!

So heres the deal! Unless you give me my 30 days, you can delete my account and give me my money back!

P.s ZENIMAX/Betheseda, a word of advice... please dont be a EA!!!

Can't you just pay for a sub and then cancel it before the end of the month? Then you get your free 30 days.

I dont use creditcards, for me the 30 days was going to be the test to see if i want to continue to play the game or not!!!

And right now, unless i get my moneys worth... they better refund me!

He said he usually uses time codes. Some people don't like associating their credit card info on any website, and that's perfectly understandable. He shouldn't be forced to to access game time the PURCHASED GAME entitles us to.

I got spoiled by LOTRO. I played free for months then finally decided to go VIP. With ESO I paid for the dang game and now I have to pay again to play it. This is a poor way to do business. I think I may see what's going on in Bree and chock up spending $60 US for a very short exposure to the game. Never again.

Indeed, and in my ignorance i thought that it was just EA who was the big bad wolf!

I demand my 30 days or money back!

Its a blatant lie. The Ad reads: 30 days free game time with purchase of game.
It should have read: 30 days free time after you pay for the first 30 days.
Because myself, and many others don't use CREDIT CARDS(wisdom) I have to pay for 30 days time to play my free 30 days.(yes, weird right)So like others I buy the game to see if I like it. That how I use my FREE 30 days. I'm not going to pay you good money for something I wont get to use.
What? Did you think EVERYONE would blindly give you their Credit Cards? If that's the case, then maybe you should just scratch game cards right off the game.
No big drama here, but I do believe this my be my early warning to move on.
    Truth? It's a person..
Truth? It will set you free.

And can we finally be done with this 'I want my free 30 days' - ***! Getting sick of it...

You mean "contact Support and they'll get around to you when they finally *** get around to you, feel free to wait 8-24 hours in the meantime". Nice response, fanboy.

I love Elder Scrolls, but I've seen many MMOs avoid this kind of grace period/subscription-requirement fiasco.

wow I take it most of you havent played MMO's before?? Even 10 years ago you needed a credit (or Debit) card to activate the 30 days free subscription! Also bare in mind that you were also giving the option to pay via Paypal too so you were not required to enter your card details on the website.

Setting up the card is one thing. Charging it is a completely different thing, You don't even know what you are talking about.

I've been gaming for 16 years and I have never encountered a situation where a company tried to charge my card for me to access the first 30 free period.

    Completely unacceptable.

Yeah, with so many of you troglodytes whining to CS about having to give your credit card info to get free access (something almost every sub-based game has done since forever), it's bound to take a while to get a response.

Not like you really deserve one anyway.

I have to agree, even though I do use a credit card. It does not seem right to force a purchase of a game card to get the 30 days that came with the game.

I am going to sub so do not mind, but why force a sub plan or game card anyway? They could just shut off the game for people who do not sub/put in a game card after the "free" 30 days.

Why can't they issue 0-day time card codes?

Even if I wanted to buy a timecard now, it'd be through Amazon where I have gift cards stacked up... and I could expect it to be shipped in 2-5 weeks... weeks

Hey, genius, they wouldn't be the first to get hacked. Some folks are even *gasp* in the business of being secure for a living. There are many reasons to not leave an identity trail, some of them even legit. If you weren't too busy being an ignorant troll you might contemplate that.

Doesn't change the main problem here- Zenimax needs to extend early access to the people who already qualified for it... it's too easy, and only makes sense with the sheer amount of problems caused by ending access before most people have received their copies in the mail.

From what I'm understanding, you aren't actually getting charged. It's the semi-standard authorization transaction that nearly every company that requires a sub does. The difference is, Zenimax is doing the auth charge of 15 dollars, not the standard dollar or few cents. You're not actually buying anything, they're just making sure you've got a valid payment plan (Before the time cards.)

If you want timecards, why not get a pre-paid visa or mastercard at nearly any grocery store? Then you're covered til' you can get your time cards, and if you decide you don't want to play, you've got a usable-everywhere prepaid card with fifteen bucks on it.

We are for the following payment methods!

    Game Time Cards [via Retailer]
    GiroPay
    iDeal
    Paysafe Card
    WebMoney

I would pay with iDeal, so they force me to pay for an additional month before giving me the month I already paid for. But I don't want that, because I might be bored with the game after 30 days and not desire another additional month. No matter how you spin that, it's absurd!

    Not possible where I live.

I have allready payed 70€ for my game that also included 30 days, and i think they have no right to ask me for more money just to be able to activate those 30 days!!!

BTW watch out bro. People already have your account handle, that's just one step closer to brute-forcing your password and hacking your account. Stay safe.

Read the terms for the account. It does state a valid payment is need to activate the free 30 days.
