As you can see, it took 16 jumps to get from me (Kansas, USA) to the ZOS NA server

• routes 2-4 - private ISP network servers - shared address space - unknown location
• routes 5-9 - obviously US servers
• route 10 - Tennessee
• routes 11 & 12 - Amsterdam, Netherlands - Akamai
• route 13 - Netherlands (who?)
• route 14 - Massachusetts - Akamai
• route 15 - Maryland
• route 16 - ZOS server

First, I have done everything technically possible to assure it is not anything on my end of the deal. Computer system hardware and software is up to date, all scans run with no problems found, computer is tuned up, ran a file check on ESO game with no problems noted, and the modem was rebooted and checks out fine...I get to my ISP providers server quickly. However, I have been having horrible problems with staying connected to the game:

• lag gets bad at times...friends see me herky-jerky around and it sucks when you are on the end boss.
• I get kicked to login splash screen with notification 'can't connect to the server, make sure you have an internet connection..." blah blah blah ...even though I am still connected to the internet
• i am able to talk on TS while being simultaneously DC'd from the game.
• i do not have internet connection issues with anything else, only ESO

This problem has been going on since last week, so whatever it is they did, i wish they would fix it.
Tonight, the ping rate jumped up to 5,192 at one point, then DC to login screen, again. I talked to my ISP provider earlier today and they say once I get handed off from the local *** server, any issues with going forward from IP to IP making my way to ZOS servers IS NOT THEIR PROBLEM. From what I have read in this thread, i see people stating the blame lies with akamai which you can see from the tracert I did that it goes through them a few times. But, I also have to wonder why they need to route the transmission of data out of the US over to Europe and then back to the US (see route lines 10-14). The worst is line 13 where it hangs in the Netherlands somewhere...literally.
If anyone has any constructive ideas on what else I can do to try to solve this problem, please post something here. I am at my wits end and going bat[bleep] crazy over this!
If anyone officially from ZOS knows anything, please post something here. This needs to get fixed!
