It's the people I play with that keep me coming back. It doesn't matter what we're doing in the game, we just genuinely enjoy each other's company, and they're some of the coolest people I've ever met. The game drew me in and gave me things to do, but my teammates keep me coming back.

I've been here 3yrs now. The content gets boring, guild drama gets old. Find a real life friend or family member who plays occasionally and group with them.

If that, or any of the other suggestions people have made, doesn't work, quit. Why play a game that is boring to you and waste your time?

My number one rule is don't treat it like a job. Whatever sounds interesting or fun that day is what I am going to do. But I am slightly goal oriented.

Sometimes I don't have a lot of time so I may just log in and do writs on a bunch of characters (along with researching traits on all but 1 and mount training for those still needing it). Writs get me gold and things to sell. Researching traits should also help increase master writ drop rates which will mostly also be sold.

Mostly what I find fun is PvP, which for a very long time I avoided. When I finally did go into Cyro I was hooked immediately even though I was super extra terrible at it. After running PvE for years and the predictability of that environment I found PvP to be like a breath of fresh air, you never REALLY know what is about to happen. And I love that about it. PvP, I'm mostly doing for fun, with a side order of I need that back dye.

Yeah, sometimes I work on an alt, most of mine need more skillpoints, but it bores me so I don't go skyshard hunting all that often. Working on alts is just getting them ready for having to rotate through various builds when one becomes no good and needs to be shelved.

I am sort of working on the new dailies, they don't take much time. I just want the pet parts really. But I am only doing them on one character. I cannot be bothered to rotate through more characters to get the pet parts faster.

I was starting to solo group dungeons a couple months ago, but I jacked my back up and need to take an extra step back from being super serious about anything for a while. This one was about proving I could do it, and also trying to trash the whole feeling like I would hold people back if I went in with strangers.

    Sure you can!
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.
    ***
Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

Do pvp no one cares about cp there. Random bgs give a ton of exp so do random normal dungeons. Do both each day and you will get cp fast and wont get insta kicked from vet dungeons.

How do I have fun and been playing this game every day for 4 years? Easy i find new goals and then reach them. Last one was i wanted all the motifs from bgs so i went nuts farming bgs everyday for 3 weeks until i got them all. Before that i wanted the mound of loot achievement had to fence 1 mil gold that took 4 weeks for me to do.

In short to stay busy I go through achievements and find something I really want. Next for me is 5 star pvp rank only 8 more lvls to go and I'll have the decoy scroll I wanted so bad.

So much to do in this game is hard not to have fun.

PvP. In contrast to PvE, you will not get rejected joining a group.
If PvP is not for you, just try it once. Joining a group is great fun if there are a decent number of battles around.
PvE wise I get you. If it wasn't for PvP I would be gone too.

"I am a nightblade. Blending the disciplines of the stealthy agent and subtle wizard, I move unseen and undetected, foil locks and traps, and teleport to safety when threatened, or strike like a viper from ambush. The College of Illusion hides me and fuddles or pacifies my opponents. The College of Mysticism detects my object, reflects and dispels enemy spells, and makes good my escape. The key to a nightblade's success is avoidance, by spell or by stealth; with these skills, all things are possible."

I'm just getting bored, I'm making no money, quests are just getting boring and I'm too lazy to start levelling a new character to 50. How do people keep playing this game are there any tips to show any light in ESO that i would enjoy.I don't really like PvP either.

    Edit 1: I'm PC EU

    Some ideas:

    A. If you're bored with quests, mat farming, whatever, try doing them on a thief who can just sneak by fights. Key elements of a thief build are:
    • Nightblade, with Concealed Weapon and the true cloak. Retreating Maneuvers is the third key skill; the rest of your bar can be for the combat that you don't avoid.
    • Either an armor set that cancels the sneak speed penalty, or the vampire passive that does the same thing. Night's Silence, easily crafted, is the obvious choice.
    • Armor that reduces your stealth radius. I use Night Terror plus the passive skill from generic medium armor.

    I round that out with:
    • A stealthy race (I picked Bosmer over Khajit, but either would do).
    • Maxed out Legerdemain skills.
    • Maxed out Thieves Guild skills.

    B. There are a lot of ways to level new characters -- dolmens, public dungeons, group dungeons, rMA, etc. If NONE of them seems like fun, then yeah -- you probably shouldn't play the game.

    C. Similarly, there are a lot of ways to get gold.

Other players don't have the vitality to do anything outside a certain horizon. Because ESO is a MMO you are at some point dependent on others for your fun. e.g. taking a guild member who hasn't done such and such dungeon at such and such difficulty can be viewed in one way as a form of progressive content or in another way as a chore. If you are capable of doing a certain dungeon(capable in the sense of being outside of rng e.g. OZMA) then it is in a sense progression. There is more to the picture however simple being around the right people should be sufficient for fun.

Too lazy to lvl a new char? I got 12 chars many ppl got 14 chars its easy af to lvl them.
There are so many options you can do with new chars
You dont like pvp? Did you ever tried it for real?
Just think about what you could do next maybe making a few new chars, making a tank, a heal, getting more dps, getting better gear, try pvp with a different gear, watch a few different builds for pve and pvp maybe there is something you would like to have, making a gankblade, make a 1vsX monster and there are way more options you could do.

Do you get kicked at the beginning from the dungeon or after a few enemies?

Gotta be honest I’m in a similar spot. It seems like at around 500 CP you’re in a place where you’ve done most of the worthwhile content but you’re not close enough to max CP to do the competitive end game stuff. I’m at 600 or so and when I think about what it’s going to take for me to get another 250 CP it doesn’t feel worth it.

600 is really high. I bought dragonbones dlc not far back and did veteran scp vet dungeon non hm. it was way more challangeing and actually fun. u need to be on discord btw. that's a suggestion btw for more veteran stuff.

Like others said before: join a guild and do the dungeons there.

Just out of interest, when you say you have decent dps, how much is that exactly? @AndrejLeo

I also think it is stupid for kicking DPS with CP below 500. I have met plenty of CP 400 people with more DPS than someone with CP >600. And how are low CP players meant to learn dungeons ect, if no one ever tells or explains them stuff and kicks them instead. This really should stop, sad that the community has become like this.

Well there is no way you have done every quest in every dlc. I am convinced cp ruins the content for players. I refuse to level any toon to 50. I see you cp players running through normal quest content, killing everything with one wave of your hand, then running on. geez. I would be bored too if I were you.

    1. separate pve from the pvp.
    2. more in game battle events like invasions/sieges, but for the pve environment
    3. actually have some good quality control
    4. maybe sell eso to a better gaming company that can actually do it justice
    5. no. more. nerfs. jfc
    6. lower crown store prices, ZOS/bethesda make millions, they don't need to be charging what they are for crown ***
    7. shut down the game and free us all

PVP is probably the only thing that has kept me coming back to the game. I did trials for a while, but after running them enough I find them boring. It can be about as fun as painting a fence after a while.
Are you sure that you are doing decent "dps", because ive seen a lot of player in battlegrounds with around 1000cp that I'm convinced bought their account. I don't understand how someone can do <100k damage total in a deathmatch game on a snipe spamming bowtard.
