I'm CP 405, get refused for anything vet even though i pull decent DPS.
I'm just getting bored, I'm making no money, quests are just getting boring and I'm too lazy to start levelling a new character to 50. How do people keep playing this game are there any tips to show any light in ESO that i would enjoy.I don't really like PvP either.

Edit 1: I'm PC EU

    ESO is a drinking game.

I take a shot every time I die.

The more I drink the drunker I get the more I die.

I always go to bed happy and stress-free.

Try random vets - or is this what you are getting refused for.

OTOH try doing healing or tanking; DPS are ... quite common.

Try a friendly guild with regular activities.

Steal a lot for money in major cities.
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.
    ***
Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

I do the things that are fun for me: farming, organized PVP, dungeons with friends, new story quests.

I ignore the things that aren't fun, like grinding annoying daily quests.

Aww. Well in that case, come Friday go here and look for the Guild Friday thread for active ads for PC/EU.

You can also go here to look for guilds.

Like others have said, the game is much more enjoyable and friendly when you join a guild and make friends. I'm a strong believer that this is how an MMO is meant to be played. :)

Gotta be honest I’m in a similar spot. It seems like at around 500 CP you’re in a place where you’ve done most of the worthwhile content but you’re not close enough to max CP to do the competitive end game stuff. I’m at 600 or so and when I think about what it’s going to take for me to get another 250 CP it doesn’t feel worth it.

It is more about who you run with regardless of what the content is or how competitive the group is.

Your CP is more than enough to do vet endgame. :) Virtually every vet trial run I am in has people your CP and lower.

Only super-dooper competitive elite squad leaderboard guilds would (or should?) pass you up based only on your CP. I'm not about that leaderboard life though, I just do vet trials for personal achievement and fun with pals.

Your level is fine, some people are just dungeon snobs.

Game is a bit boring. Give it a rest for a while perhaps, loads of amazing games out there to play, you can always come back when there's a decent new release, not a little add-on like Murkmire, but maybe the next expac.

I came back for 3 weeks but am going back to FFXIV, ESO just does not have the quality.

If I get burnt out of the game I just take a break and play old console games I liked to play as a kid. Just relax offline and free from interactions with other people for awhile.

Whenever I get that burnt out feeling with ESO (and not just ESO, but any mmorpg), I take a break for a month or so. Coming back refreshed makes the game more enjoyable to me. Right now, I'm having fun decorating that new house they gave all of us. As someone else said in this thread, take a break for a month, two months, whatever. Come back after that. You might just enjoy the game again.

In my opinion an mmo cannot be truly enjoyed for very long without an active guild of folks that you view more as friends than anonymous video game players. I was about done with the genre for good until I really went all in with this realization a few years back and quit being the solo guy. I know it's not everyone's thing to be part of a group like this but I truly believe without it, you just burn out quick and keep mmo hopping.

ESO really takes me back to that old school mindset of Ultima Online. The dev's created this massive play space and sprinkled in a lot of activities. Which is great but even better, they have us a huge toy box full of ways to interact with that world and said "go play!".

That being said, I keep the game fresh by doing a little bit of everything. I spend the majority of my time doing the open-world questing and exploration. When a dolmen opens up I'll run over and do it. I get my skyshards, lorebooks, crafting mats, and points of interest. Sometimes i make use of the justice system while I'm at it >:)

When I feel like that's getting boring I will hop into a dungeon or a battle ground just to shake things up. I do not ever make any single aspect of the game my sole focus. That helps me to stave off burnout.

When I do inevitably get burned out, which just happens, I play something else for a while, but eventually get back into ESO a little more refreshed.

Lol when I started around 500cp was top-level and it never stopped peeps from running the vets, trials, etc

Think some folks just need to give players a chance

Creating new characters is my favorite way to break up the pace. I know you said you are "too lazy" to do so, but it really is awesome leveling new skill lines and figuring out a new playstyle.

I try and teach new players how to do vet dungeons and improve their build choice, but I agree.. sometimes you just gotta take a break and try something else for a while. Lately I've been delving deep into Conan Exiles, Ark , and Subnautica because I am a bit of a survival game junkie. :P And very soon Subnautica Sub-zero <3
