"This is fine" is a meme option, most people who choose it aren't serious, ZOS will take it seriously tho and not fix this.
This has got to be the most dumb change ZOS has ever thought of, shields were hit way too hard already and now as a shield user you also got a 2k oblivion dot on you that ticks every second, bg's are rip for any shield user already, cyro too once more people discover this BS.
Now we're stuck with this for the next 3 months because ZOS doesn't do hotfixes and it will hurt their ego if they admit they f**d up that soon.

Enchants should only be activated by weapon light/heavy, keep the potency the same.

    Look man. L2P.

Just slot Armor Master backbar, then 3 Protective and Impreg on body, then get a magplar friend to pocket heal you with TK and Transmutation while he spams resto ults. Then slot 5 Torug's, install Fallout 76, then go play that game instead.

    L2P.

so 4 different enchants coming from a single person so . . .dual dual wield?

    QUADRA WIELD!

seriously though is that what that was?

so torugs and quadra wield? ive spent all day in pvp and have not noticed anything dumb, I even messed with enchants myself (I always ran dual infused so it wasn't much of chore to test) and didn't find anything stronger then usual.

is this mostly a torugs thing?
    ESO player since beta.
    game got too disappointing.

So that's how it happens. Someone hits a dummy (on a high-crit build no less, since enchants ignore weapon damage anyway) and makes big... no, BIG eyes at the damage it does. Of course, everyone forgets that Battle spirit halves that damage. Then impenetrable everyone runs further drop critical multiplier, and the damage ends up even lower. By then, dummy number is all that matters.

Good luck meeting up with a stamnb with that setup then ;)
People already died from one single rending slash, you know?

@Checkmath , then should we nerf stamblades maybe? I mean, if I meet stamblade and die, we should definitely nerf stamblades.

Also, have you got statistics on how many people out of how many fights involving rending slashes, died how, what did they do, what CP, how were they geared? I mean, without that, this thread is speculation and cries of people who happened to die to something. "People already died" is not an argument I expect to hear from you.

You actually defending this? You obviously don't play a Magblade, Magsorc or Magden, if you did and you happened to fight someone with this crap you would realize how dumb you are for defending this.

There are already parses from duels out there including exactly said setups and the damage of those enchants is disgusting. Maybe you should either think twice, before you post something like your first post. Because we are not talking about dummy parses in here, but about actual pvp scenarios. A friend of mine already killed several people by just applying rending slashes and then let the bleed and enchants do the rest.
We are talking about actual experiences here and the current problem build of double infused dual wield with torugs pact deals an immense damage just by applying one skill. Hitting a dummy for that might be an indication, but the experience shows that this skills procs both enchants on the initial hit and every two seconds with every bleed tick. This means that every second the damage of a enchant is dealt. There is nothing comparable to this in PvP.

ZOS is probably thinking that they added some new defensive sets this patch so the enchant change shouldn’t be a problem.

The other option is that Wrobel has all along thought that the old Viper/Tremor meta was the peak of PVP balance, and each patch he keeps looking for a way to reintroduce something similar.

@Transairion , I main stamina DK, but I do play magblade too. And thank you, I'm smart enough not to touch that cesspool of toxicity, hate-speeches, nerf-calling and the like that is PvP. I play chess, thankyouverymuch. ^^

@Checkmath , for one, I don't see statistics yet. "Friend of mine" is an anecdotal evidence just as everything else. For another, I don't see you offering any constructive way to fix the problem aside from call for nerfs. Offer a decent way to fix the problem that wouldn't hurt PvE (and stamina has to rely on enchantments for sustain, and I suspect magicka too after nerfs to magblades and mDKs), and I'd say - have it your way, PvP people, do whatever you want. I suggested one, and I was serious - disable enchantments through battle spirit or decrease their potency to nothing. That would satisfy both worlds. What do you suggest?

    1. Nerf Torug’s. Maybe just replace its current effect with a penetration debuff on taunt so tanks can keep it.
    2. Halve the value of Infused (and maybe weapon traits in general) on DW, but buff Absorb Stamina, so that sustain from enchants remains what it is but damage goes down.

That would be a start. But giving constructive suggestions doesn’t matter because ZOS has explicitly said they don’t want to hear suggestions from the community, only pain points. So in focusing on this pain point, @Checkmath is only doing what ZOS has asked.

Well maybe you should join the class rep discord or one of the class discords and read, what we are providing and suggesting to the devs currently. Because I am sitting in my office right now and can not share any statistics from discord and ingame.
But if you insist, then so may it be: Sure removing enchants through battlespirit would work, but would be a bad implementation, since they are part of a very dynamic and fun gameplay. They can give someone for a short period of time some advantage over an enemy or add SOME additional damage (only additional, not as main source of damage like now). Therefore in my opinion the best change would be tolet enchants only proc from weaving. This will not hurt in PvE, since normally damage dealers do weave anyway and the proc is easy to get without perfect weaving. Also like this, it does not just add more damage through dots (yes also in PvE right now, it is just a brainless added damage or sustain). Also sustain as damage dealer or tank is too easy right now with some weapon dots (tanks already went for rending slash to get absurde recovery and easy uptime of debuffs making that gameplay very easy and non challenging). Enchants only proccing from weaving would encourage skillful playing and actual commitment to the effects of the enchants instead of just waiting for the procs through dots. Otherwise a simple toning down of enchants damage and uptime would be less favoured solution, especially for healers and tanks in PvE. Another possibility is to have a really small proc chance of the enchants from skills, then they at least would not proc on cooldown, rather sporadic.

it's time to reevaluate whether weapon enchats should really proc from skills and skill dots. It seems much more fair to have them proc only from actual heavy and light attacks, and perhaps increase the duation of them slightly, while also adressing the issue of dual wielders being able to double dip into enchants just by having 2 weapons on each bar. Making dual wield proc half as often would be a viable solution, and essentially make the enchants work as they do for all other weapons.

It needs fixing ofc, but still can't help laughing my ass off. People being insta-killed by enchants, it's so absurd and funny. This is definitely on the top 3 most silly meta, we've seen in years.

Hardly the first time they release broken stuff after a major update though. It's normal ZoS. They selectively listen or ignore PTS feedback.

If it really trivializes PvE content to a large degree they might actually nerf it. They don't want people to plow through high end content with ease and than be bored.

But the risk of them leaving it like this for at least for 3-4+ months is ofc much higher.

@Checkmath , oh, so you actually suggest to nerf the sustain, because weaving will only activate glyph on current bar - and that means part of the rotation absorb stamina/magicka will be inactive, and that is automatically a nerf to current resource return on it. Why, I already see just what deep understanding of the game our class reps possess.

Neither torug nor enchantment were an issue pre-nerfmire.

Enchantment damage is not the problem, the problem is enchantments triggering off weapon skill damage over time effects. Enchantment effects should only trigger on the initial hit of a weapon skill, not on the secondary effects. To counter the bleed+enchantment setups raise your impen to a point where critical damage gets normalized then work in major protection into your build.
