Maintenance for the week of April 6:
• [COMPLETE] ESO Store and Account System for maintenance – April 8, 9:00AM EDT (13:00 UTC) - 6:00PM EDT (22:00 UTC)

Why put a different timer on dremora skulls then normal world events?

Do you really not want the situation to improve? People pointing out problems is how things improve. Help me understand your fatalistic attitude. I'm paraphrasing here: "this is the way it is, deal with it, crappy coding builds character".

I don't think there is a situation here that needs improvement. People have survived the life of the game with the same exact cooldown on daily dungeons, and the life of battle grounds with the same cooldown, the life of mount training.. It's the same cooldown.

Mount training doesn't end on November 1st. Daily dungeons don't end November 1st. Battle grounds don't end November 1st.

what was the point of the timer? limit motif proliferation?
And Zo$ says ***, cos they they dont give a ***.

This event is perfect if you live off the state or bank of mummy n daddy and sit on your fat arse all day doing nothing but play games.

Those who have that dirty word a "Job" or Family commitments, are proper screwed over.

You left out those of us you would refer to as pensioners. ;)

However even as a retiree I find the variable timers a pain. I might have time to get one or two skulls in the morning and other skulls at other times of the day but tomorrow might only have time in the morning to play for all skulls yet be stopped by the timer.

How hard is it to just do the skull farm at the same time each day? For those who can't play at the same time, I can see how it can be frustrating.

I wish the people who would come her tom comment "how hard is it to X" would read the multitudes who have already commented saying "it's hard because of our jobs and kids and life". It's great that you can play the same time every day. Not everyone can.

"How hard is it to" have all quest and item cooldowns reset at the same time each day, like GMT? C'mon, ZOS, enough with the horrible fragmentation / cooldown creep.

It's so great that you quoted the second part of my comment about understanding it being frustrating for those who can't play at the same time and then completely ignored it. But at the same time, you missed the point where my comment was directed at people who track the timer down to the minute so that they can get the skulls immediately on cooldown. You know, the people that seem to have the time to play the game whenever they want.

Also, everyone seems to expect ZOS to contact them and work out their schedules so that everything works out perfectly for them. Sometimes being an adult, with real life responsibilities, means you can't always do everything you want. And that comes with the realization that noone owes you anything. and YOU are missing the point where the solution is RIGHT. IN FRONT. OF. YOU. AND. ZOS. and doesn't require ANYONE to adjust to anyone else's schedule. did you know.. that right now. right this day.. people can "gasp" do pledges. and crafting dailies - on their own schedule? whenever they have a free moment during the day and STILL be able to get rewards the next day at a different free oment they may have? because pledges and crafting dailies and a whole slew of other dailies IN ESO. reset once a day. so that its convenient for EVERYONE.

why. WHY have a 20 hour cooldown when you already have a perfect system in place that doesn't require trying to please different people with different schedules in different ways becasue it works for EVERYONE ALREADY? and WHY. WHY defend in any way, shape or form this 20 hour cooldown nonsense?

While I sympathize with those who can't play at the same time every day or schedule their lives around an in-game timer, I have to say I'm kinda in favor of the 20h timer on this one. Assuming I can set an alarm for 2 am this morning and next Tuesday morning, and wake my *** up enough to do a quick dolmen, I should be able to pull 16 event tickets from this 14 day event. That even includes having to wait 24 hours or more on some timers, because I do have a full-time job, and adding 15 minutes to the 20h timers to account for random timing of dolmen spawns.

Just trying to point out that for every person who might miss an event ticket or two, there's someone who might get an extra. What we have is better then a 24h timer, but I can see where a daily reset time would be better, and maybe more fair, for everyone. My guess is the majority just do everything around the same time every day and this gives them a +/-4 hour window to accomplish those things.

I wouldn't say I am missing the point. I just don't see the point as valid. The 20hr cooldown is a mechanic that already exists in game. So it's not like they choose to just implement this for this event. And that system works fine for people now. The problem I do see is a vocal minority of players on the forums thinking they are most of the player base and that their problems deserve immediate results. When in fact, they are a small minority of players, and for most players, the cooldown system works just fine.

except the system is NOT working fine for most people right now, as evidenced by renewed and increased number of complaints about it and those complains are numerous in game as well. just becasue those people don't go on the forums, doesn't make their IN GAME complaints nonexistent or any less valid. this system NEVER worked fine. it was NEVER a good system.

Meanwhile, I mysteriously haven't gotten a Public Dungeon boss skull in the last 24 hours. All the others, no problem, but Public Dungeon bosses? Just not dropping. Good times.

hmmmmm....starting today, i'm having the same issue with WB Dremora skulls...I've gone back & forth with support a couple times, and I'm still not convinced that they understand my issue. They keep telling me how it works, and I have to reply to them that, yeah I understood from the beginning that that's how it's supposed to work, but that's not how it is working...<sigh>

    ^ This
So i'm not the only one to have this problem, i simply didn't get a single yellow dremora skull in public dungeons ... and I ran many of them yesterday and the day before.

well, cross fingers....we'll see what happens with the new update

@OrdoHermetica SAME HERE!! Are you on PS4 NA? Is this a ZOS bug? I wrote down all my times from yesterday and got every other Dremora skull without a problem. Imagine my surprise when I killed that first public dungeon boss and didn't see the yellow skull. Uh... what? I'm positive I was supposed to get one. I killed a couple more and even tried it in another public dungeon later. Nope. I did not get a public dungeon skull today.

Nope, PC/NA. So, yeah, probably a ZOS bug if it's happening cross-platform. Also, it appears as though the Gold Coast Delves count as Public Dungeon bosses as far as the timer goes, but DON'T drop Public Dungeon Skulls, so... that's cool, too.

Omg... I actually did go and kill a delve boss on the Gold Coast for my delve Dremora skull yesterday. And then I didn’t get a public dungeon skull. Wow! @ZOS_GinaBruno

well fun times. so becasue I wasn't logged in before they disabled logins about 50 minutes ago... and they are going to take down the game for maintenance in a few hours... I'm going to fall way WAY behind on my dremora skulls. you know, thanks to that 20 hour cooldown. such good system, right? /sarcasm
