Dremora Plunder Skull reset time?

baratron
baratron
✭✭✭✭✭
So, we can get up to 7 Dremora Plunder Skulls per account per server per day. But what counts as "a day" in this context?
  • Midnight GMT (8pm EDT) like the Daily Rewards?
  • 6am GMT (2am EDT) like the Pledge Dailies?
  • 20 hour timers as have been rumoured?
  • Something else?

Ideally looking for a @ZOS_GinaBruno or @ZOS_JessicaFolsom official statement on this, please. Thanks in advance!

We would have just ticked over to day 2 if it was the 6am GMT timer. A lot of us would be on our second ticket if it was midnight GMT.

So... yeah, it's looking like the 20 hours timers. Without any ability to see it. Which, is not a great setup.

Fixed reset is out the window. Someone apparently tested it on the PTS and said it was 20h, so I guess we'll be getting confirmation of that soon.

maybe some clever person can make an addon like hireling timer or plunder skull timer to keep track of your different dremora skulls?

Is it 20h per type of skull or 20h from the first drop?

Really hope its 20h from first drop, I could imagine somebody going postal if they did a DSA or MA for the skull only to have the boss die at 19 hours 59 minutes since they last did it. Impossible to keep track of each one individually.

    https://www.esoui.com/downloads/info1501.html

It will log the times of your Dremora skulls, which you can then print to the chat window with a chat command.

(The ironic thing is... the original feature of the addon--tracking the 3-minute cooldown of regular Plunder Skulls--seems to be obsolete this year as that cooldown is now gone.)

Everything should reset when the dailies reset. It makes no sense that there isn't a global cooldown and they make us try to keep track of everything individually without even visible timers.

Once again a sub standard implementation from ZOS.

If it is a 20 hour timer i don't know when i killed my items yesterday so im left to guess?.

ZOS, ffs make them reset everyday at the same hour, like undaunted pledges.
I don't wanna do math everyday to get information when exactly my freaking skulls will reset.

Yeh, I meant to say 20 hours. Some are saying 20 hours = a daily reset. My mind crossed the two.

I wish they'd settle on one time for all daily resets.

I don't care when it is. Even if it was 8pm GMT which is right in the middle of the time I'm most likely to be online it'd still be better than trying to keep track of all the different times when things reset and remember which is which.

What are EGOs in this context?

I don't understand how individual peoples egos would affect which reset time/s they choose. My other guess is it's an acronym but then I'm not sure what for. (Google suggests the European Group for Organisational Studies, but again I can't see how that has anything to do with ESO.

The Murkmire patch on monday should "fix" the Dremora skull reset same time as writs?

    Pts patch notes v4.2.4:
Quests that grant Event Tickets during holiday events will now refresh their ability to grant Event Tickets at the same time that Daily Quests become available again.

I'm not sure if 20h cool down is correct, yesterday I've got my first skull from delve at 4pm, today at 12am (so after 20h) I've killed the same boss in the same delve and got nothing. I was killing delve and overland bosses until 1pm and then I gave up.

So up until Monday i am stuck with having to play a certain character, around the same time as i done the achievements on another character the day before?, so there is no overlap, as i get achievements on many characters since they are character specific.

Very restricting and very poorly implemented. This is not the first time, ZOS have introduced reset times that differ from the usual ones. Sub standard at best.

Well I’m eastern time. If it is 20 hour reset then it would have reset at 6am this morning(about an hour ago). Which would mean it will reset again at 2am Saturday morning then 10pm Saturday night and so on? That’s nucking futs.

On console this event will be over before we get a patch  Frankly I don’t remember what time I got each of my skulls at yesterday and it’s ridiculous to think players would. Looking forward to an official word on this.

The easiest method for tracking is going to be to do your Daily Random Dungeon last. Once that turns Purple again, you know your 20h timers are done on all of them.

I just keep a cheat sheet by my PC where I mark the times completed. I'd finished all mine by 5pm, yesterday, so anything after 1pm I can start again.

All this complaining about sub-standard reward system. Would you rather have no event at all? Let's stop bickering about a few hours here and there. You'll be fine. It's not hard to have a little patience. You get off work at X time, you started playing at X + 1 hour, and then you started getting your skulls. Do the same thing today and you'll be golden.

FFS, nothing in the game should be this cryptic. You shouldn't have to guess. You shouldn't have to have an addon tracking 7 different things. No spreadsheets, no scribbled notes, no X+anything.

If (Yesterday = Thursday and !FullMoon - 0.7 * cost of lunch / level of frustration > Purple) then...

Devs, use the damn time zone at first login after account creation, then use local client time of that zone (you can even have the server verify to make sure no one's cheesed it) for any and all resets.

Would be so much easier to have a single timer check than the 17.3 different versions you so love to implement.
Just because you don't like the way something is doesn't necessarily make it wrong...

I am happy about the event. Maelstrom has been fun.

That doesnt mean we can't point out where ZOS can improve the event. They changed it this year with the Dremora Plunder Skulls. Our feedback that the timer is frustrating opaque is valid and useful feedback.

We're not criticizing the gift horse here. We are saying "ZOS, this element of your event is frustrating. Next year, change it."

Your comments are actual criticism, the others have been complaints. There is a difference. Saying "ZoS sucks with their sub-standard implementation" is just petty.
