I started with a male char in Skyrim because playing a girl feeled weird. Then I stumbled into modding and still playing a male char feeled weird with all the options of adding enchanted jewelry to my build.
Who can agree?

there is something i am really really really interested in. There is a subjective feeling, that most female players play female chars and a huge part of male players play female chars, but there is no official statistic showing it.
I really would like to know, how many chracters in ESO on the differenz platforms are male and how many are female, a percentage. No need to split it into female and male players owning them, just a general number of heroes and heroines in the time of the interregnum.
It would be so awesome, if you could provide a number. Please please please *_*
You sound like a stalker there, Dexter.

Not a hard and fast rule of course, and it can have a variety of reasons, but I gravitate towards the one put forward by @mxxo that women may be more likely to play characters they relate to, whilst men may be more likely to play them as fictional video game characters (ones which they like the look of, it seems).I wish there was a super power that would turn all men who said this into women for a week. Would love to see how they appreciate having their stated facts largely treated as mere opinions, and their opinions summarily dismissed.Women nowadays look for sexism everywhere ( #NotAll , but enough that it's annoying).
Also, the no women on the internet meme would be completely illogical if following the reasoning put forward by you. In fact if people actually wanted no gender biases, they should just assume any internet user to be both male/female until gender is claimed.

I’m not grumpy, just curious since I would probably have asked via PM first. I think it’s unlikely they will see this thread and reply with official numbers, I could be wrong though, I often am.
I wish there was a super power that turned all women who said this into men for a week, then they would find out how good they actually have it and would stop complaining. Seriously, except for the odd idiot all of society is catering to women's sensibilities and treating women better than men.
And if you think that "there are no women on the internet" makes no sense because it's gender specific, you should read my explanation again, because I addressed the exact point you are using as a fail "gotcha". But I guess understanding cultural context is not in the skill set of members of the church of wymminworsting.

oh yeh, i feel really good beeing reduced to girly clichees, getting flirted and sexualized at work, every day - in 2 of 4 worklplaces i have been - or getting compliments on my bbs, getting asked to wear more girly stuff, getting even told from my family to wear more girly stuff. i find it really nice, that people care, wether i get a baby and tell me that my clock is ticking and that i - for genetical reasons - will be sad not having babies. i love getting reduced as person who isnt able to do some repairings in the house, not beeing able to change hardware in my pc and getting touched unasked onn private parts. i also love having worse chances for job promos. its so good to be a woman and we are treated so much better than men, because men hold me doors open and men want to pay my dinner when going out for a date - even tho i am able to pay myself. yes, sir, yes.

ah i also dont think, its gonna happen, that zos will show more statistics. there are a lot of numbers i am curious about. they did in the past - like statistics from events, ava statistics and other stuff, but not when asked. also i think a lot of topics will get down "unread". still the chance is higher than via mail and whoever is curious about suich numbers should emphasize it and search for comm-support - thats how a community works, basically - if people are interested into something, they gonna discuss it, if not, they wont.
off topic - another number which i am curious about is the percentage of ps4, xbox and pc - there have been some statistics, in 2015 - but i really want refreshed ones. as example. numbers and statistics are awesome #no creepy stalker

And FWIW, I'm a male with 3 female characters. I started the game with a male character but just hated everything about it, so I did a race change and changed everything else about that toon too. Since then I made two more female characters. The game has plenty of horrendous looking NPCs...
there already has been a poll in the past, so why should i do it again? also its only forum, and the amount of people in the forum is a) very low compared to the ingamers and usually from my experience also b) not representative, because people deciding to discuss in forums are usually more dedicated and a bit "otherwise" (in a good way) than the casual questers.
i asked zos for official statistics. i like how it ended with people telling their own "story" and explaining their decision a lot.

Can females in the game just stand normally? They stand with their backs arched and their butts sticking out. No one stands like that. I make their butts as small as possible and it still looks that way. Straighten up their lower backs a bit please.

As someone that lived as a woman 4 more years than Norah Vincent lived as a guy, I was going to respond but I’ll defer to your experience.

Your problem is that you get too many compliments, and people remind you that you can't wish biology away?
