How to activate my included 30 days of game time?

I've pre-ordered the imperial edition and have been happily playing during the 5 days early access. But when I try to login again today, I get the error message "Your login information was incorrect." although I'm pretty sure it is not incorrect since I can still login on the website.

In the announcements box below it says that customers who purchased the game from the ESO Online Store can activate their included 30 days of game time, so I figured the error message has to do with this (although the message itself does not make sense, I would rather expect something like "You need to extend your subscription.")

Despite the announcement saying that activating the included 30 days of game time is fast and simple, I have found that it is not. The only two options that I got are "Setup your recurring subscription" and "Enter prepaid game time code", both of which require me to pay even for the upcoming 30 days. There is no third option "Activate your included 30 days of game time."

Since I purchased the game from the ESO Online Store, I expect the first 30 days to have been included in the payement I did to buy the game. So my question is, how can I activate these included 30 days of game time without paying for it?

This makes no sense. Why they LIE to the customers this way? I paid for a game with an initial 30 days.

Yep it's true. Being held to ransom by having to enter payment info before accessing your 30 days free!!

When you go to set up the subscription it says your first month is $0 to activate the game time.

That also explains it right here. If your account is telling you that you need to pay $15 now that might be an issue with just you account. I was able to set up my first month free just fine.

I want to pay with iDeal, so they will charge me immediately. Is this for the upcoming month or for the month thereafter?

Why are they forcing us to pay for at least one month extra if I want to decide if I want or will be able to keep playing after the first 30 days?

Have you guys never signed up for free trials? Signed up for recurring fees like Netflix, XBox Live, Hulu, etc? This is a common thing; they're asking you to verify the information you'll be using to pay for the sub fee once the 30 days is up.

Put in your information. You MIGHT be charged the 14.99 immediately, but don't panic! It's only an authorization hold! It'll drop in a matter of a few hours to a few days, depending on how your bank handles that sort of thing. So no, you're NOT paying for anything now. You're simply setting up the information for then the free "trial", as it were, ends.

Now for people using things like game time cards...I'm not sure what to tell you guys, sorry :(. Idk if there's something else going on with that option and I haven't heard any answers about it.

No, I have not. And indeed, I'm paying with iDeal which is similar to paying with game time cards except for that I can pay directly with my bank account and don't have to go out to the store. I don't want to pay anything until I will be using 30 more days. It's easy for you guys with a CC, but I don't have one. Why not ask for my subscription method once the included 30 days of game time are over and I really start paying?
