I want to see what amount of gold is considered a normal amount, based on what everyone has. (Round the amount to the nearest answer)

Been playing since the beginning and farm my own mats. I ran out of stuff to actually BUY years ago except for the random motif occasionally.

I tend to save up for specific goals, I usually tend to save up to 1.2 mil, spend, then go back down to 300-500k, then build back up to a mil. I think the most I've ever had at one time is 4 mil. I sell but I'm not a power seller, but I keep myself afloat and save for things I need or want

I currently have 7 million gold, and have spent at least double that on housing and motifs. Most of my gold comes from farming and selling raw mats, alchemy reagents, perfect roe, and nirncrux.

I've got over 1M atm but it will drop to the 100,000s once I find stuff to buy with it. i think that most players that have been playing for a few years will have over 1M. The most I've ever had was 4M... but I spent it all on set weapons from guild traders.

If you have good number of alts and do your daily writs, I don't see why players can't easily exceed 1 million gold. I have accrued about 3.4 million primarily from daily writs. With max number of alts, you gain around 37K daily.

I had 7 Million the last time I played.

I have bought 95% of motifs
I have bought about 90% of recipes
I have about 150 Legendary items

I then bought 6.5 Million in mats, last day I played and mailed some stuff to my second account for storage, before my sub ran out.

I bought all my mats from Khajiiti guild theives, thus qualifying for this response.

MW made me rich but now a days I barely scrape by with about 2-3m at a time.

Before MW: 0 Patterns, 0 Houses barely any furniture
After MW about a year: 8 houses (3 faction manor's bought) + more large houses, over 1500 patterns learned now, and have tons of furniture totalling to I don't know what crazy amount.

Oh also forgot I spent 17m at the early release of SI and got all 15 of my chars to max JCing in the first week. Also donated 1.5m to some people that stream

And this is the problem. The game has little of real value to purchase with gold, unless you count housing items, which have limited utility and replay value and therefore aren't worth it for a lot of players.

I have just short of 4M again, and I'm going to buy another manor house with that; I'm not at "all the houses" yet but closing in. Lifetime total is probably 10-20M. I don't work at money all that much, but I'm in 3 high-end trading guilds.

I started an EU alt from nothing to do the Summerset event, and I've continued levelling so I don't have to deal with a low-level alt and no CP (life without Master Gatherer is painful!) ever again. In just a few weeks of casual play, at level 45, I've got over 200K on that account, mostly from thieving and a casual guild sometimes having a trader, and I'll make more once I get into a serious trading guild. By CP160 I expect to have well over 1M gold.

I have around 10 mil on my NA characters. But I also have another 1 million on the EU server, where I only recently started playing (with zero gold, no mats, nothing). It’s pretty easy to make gold in this game.

Ayup. I've been doing crafting writs on 12 girls (well, started with 8, but added the others this last week). I went from having not much at all in early July to 1.25 M this morning. Just on writs.

34.5 million gold, no idea in terms of assets, but only log on to do writs and sales nowadays.

Polls are meaningless here btw OP, vast majority of the playerbase never come to the forums, and is in non way indicative of the general feel.

more than 10 million getting to be able to trade daily
more than 100 million, can trade and buy a few luxuries
more than 1 billion getting comfortable at last

Most gold I had was working about 5 weeks, panic intense spaz farming, selling to save up for the gold cost of the Witches house last year.

Never come close to that since.....usually I'm broke
