As a mag main myself I somewhat agree with this. Disregarding the fact that most of the players that know what they're doing have switched to DW front-bar, Forward Momentum pretty much negates magicka counters to stam: snares.

Magplar and MagDK really rely on snare/immobilize to pressure their opponents, and 2h is a big counter.

It's not necessarily easier, but it is much less frustrating. Against a DW opponent, I focus more on rotations and offensive/defensive windows as opposed to targeting issues.

While both can run Forward Momentum, up-time is noticeably different if it is back-barred since it is not religiously cast in the same way that shields are for example.
