There is a grave guarded by a loyal dog in Alikir. North Central area by a POI. Not sure if it is an homage to a fallen player, or an homage to the legends of pets standing vigil at their owners grave. There is a really nice lore book at this location. Brought a tear to my eye when I read it.

I remember a reddit post about a fallen player, his girlfriend or wife wanted to get in touch with his guildies to let them know, because they ment so much to him. That was a tearful post.

From memory, It relates to a couple who drowned at sea.
I can't be sure as it was over a year ago. I asked in my guild at the time and no-one else was aware of it.

@Androconium
Couldn't find it- but I scoured the East Coast of Glenumbra. Was it on a cliff or in a tower?

It's toward the ocean outside the camp just off the bridge that heads into the Dominion troops, below Farwatch Wayshrine (I think that's what it's called, not in game right now).

Found it. Yes- it definitely seems like it's an actual memorial. Normally, regular NPCs don't go by names like "Pauline" and "James":
Honored:
EDIT: Also- I'm not sure if this is a memorial for a death or for two people who found each other.

I'm leaning toward the idea that you all are reading into these locations too much.
