Cyrodiil: Who is Lin the Bear?

In Cyrodiil I came upon a bear named Lin that appeared to be hostile, growling at me, but did not attack me. I could not attack it either.
I googled the bear but couldn't find anything about it. I can post a screenshot if nobody has an answer.

The bear is part of the Vlastarus town quests. I remember one of my guild members talking a long while back about how a cancer patient was dying and her favorite game was ESO or Skyrim so ZOS or Bethesda took her favorite animal and named the bear after her. The group talked about it for a while after and we knew if we found a bear in Cyrodiil that had a name we wouldn't attack it. I'm not sure if what he telling was a true or not but this reminded me of that so it maybe the same bear he was talking about. With what you just said and his story I guess what he was talking about was true and also good to know ZOS made it so that the bear could not be attacked.
