If you are playing what is widely considered the strongest class variant in the game, and are 'completely shut down' by what many consider a middle-of-the-road class variant... you have effectively demonstrated that there is much room for improvement in your game skills.
Rather than blaming balance, you should seek advice. In the PvP section of the Forums.

Funny, when I'm in Cyrodiil and get the daily quest to 'kill 20 nightblades' that 'NB kill counter' fills up pretty darn fast (and I mean really fast).

try fighting one on as a sorc as well! mgk dks counter two classes directly pretty much guaranteeing them a win in every fight.

Thank you for this comment. I'm reading this thread and thinking "Magblades have it bad? What about Sorcs? At least blades can poof into thin air when they see a DK!"

Dragon Knights are by far the strongest class I've gone up against in PvP. Unless you gear almost exclusively for defense they will slaughter you.
I don't believe the solution is to nerf them. But they should certainly give players stronger defensive options to deal with them. I would recommend anyone who prioritizes PvP on this game to roll as a Dragon Knight.

Lol. Sometimes it's a blur.
Nightblades are everywhere. Zerging keeps, camping resources, hiding in the shrubbery. Thank Stendarr 85% of them are little more than AP delivery service

Thats because most players play NB as it is 1 of the most OP classes in game... As somebody who plays magDK for 3 years I can tell you we need more buffs than nerfs. Our sustain gonna be even more wrecked in next patch due to power lash costing magicka. Our primary way of dealing damage (DoT) is very easy to purge ( netch, templar, alliance purge) or to avoid (cloak). We are also melee class meaning we need to be close to do anything and maybe my build is wrong but I got no slot free for the chains as they almost never work anyways. Also with all the CC immunity and super sonic speed snares we have in arsenal have no effect... 50% of the time NB or sorc can safely run away when they see they cannot kill me 1 vs 1. Also our primary ulti for the PvP is way 2 easy to avoid with current speed of players - you can just move out of area. My advice for everyone complaining about any class is to make it play with it and see its weak points from their own perspective.

Just about half the actual damage moves of a nightblades kit aren’t reflective. You choose to run the stronger setup against every other class and run into your weaknesses. I build for melee and don’t have trouble with most MDK.
It your own fault.
same reason stam dk can shut down magsorc completely, they do well in heavy.
burst doesnt do anything if they were you out of resources and pertify dot you to death......
not a big fan of dk's these days.... getting up there with snipe spam builds on my hate list
