Smokey the Bear needs your help

I couldn't even tell you what the bear does (and my magden is my second most played character) because I need to have useful ults on my bar since I 1vX. Though even if I did use it the changes don't matter since with them destroying shields my warden will become unplayable (the only mag class I have that won't be completely gutted in Nerfmire is my heal warden). Weren't they the class and spec choice for bots?
If they push this through, I don't see many people using bears at all. Why would you? Considering
1) You need to double slot it. Why would you gimp yourself after this nerf?
2) The dramatic loss in effectiveness. People will just use another ultimate after this goes through.
It will boil down to Warden and Bear being a thing of the past. Which, to me, is an amazingly backwards way to go about "improving" a class, considering the heavy marketing of that combo when they were trying to sell it.

Exactly. They marketed this class with the bear and they set up the infrastructure to have other pet skins. If they want to sell the skins, they need to keep the bear impressive. He needs to be powerful because there is already a major downside to using him; not being able to use other ultimates

✭Strong class identity: you rely on your class skills to do damage, healing, whatnot
Weak class identity: you rely on weapon skills and all classes run the same set up apart from 1 or 2 buffs
Just Buff Nothern storm to be on par with Bear damage and let Teddy live.4 -

Try it without the reduction and let’s see if people will play Warden more. If there is a population surge in Wardens then Im wrong, the bear is OP. And not on dummy parses. That was only 11 months.
Magdens have been unplayable ever since they launched (June 2017) to now (October 2018), so 16 months.
Literally every single endgame beta tester in Morrowind told them the class could not launch in its current state, and ZOS just ignored all the feedback.

Yes but stamina wardens will be forced into using non-class ultimates which seems to go against the 3 branch skill tree that ZoS used to define the variants of the class1 -
