Worth the wait or should I wait?

Wondering if its even worth it at this point with all these "BUG" or "CHARACTER DELETED" threads that are going on. Is anybody actually have a positive experience? Was thinking I'll just do the same thing I did with Diablo 3 and give it a month then come back when its not all jacked up.

The game is really good and fun to play, but has a few scary bugs (server issues or database screwup ones are the worst). It isn't stopping me from playing, so decide for yourself if you are willing to risk a little bit of hassle while playing, or at worst the annoyance of dealing with customer service and their long response times.

Well, look at it this way: Even if you wait, you're still going to need to buy the game if you want to play it. So you might as well get it.

That said, ESO is currently a buggy mess of a game. This evening I lazily roamed PvE and did ~6 quests because I couldnt enter Cyrodil (perma loading screen) - but guess what, *all of them* where broken. NPC not there (but collision was), unlootable corpses that was required for quests, even more NPCs that wherent there or events that wouldnt trigger. 10 logouts/logins later that fixed nothing I had to gave up. ESO literally broke my will to play it.

Of course I have positive experiences too. I like the combat, I like the world, I like alot of the game and it has potential. This morning I did Banished Cells for the first time and it was fun. Hell it wasnt even bugged. But nothing will change the fact that at its core ESO is a broken game. Can patches the coming week fix it? I have no idea. I hope so. Its probably just a dream. The poor buggers at ZOS must be drowning in bug reports by the thousands.

I did not think you could post here if you did not buy the game?

Anywho, the game is very fun. I have 4 level 8 characters and have not had a single bug. I know I just placed a big red x on my head ...lol.

It's really good fun, very addictive. But I am advising my friends to wait for a little bit. Zenimax have not stepped up to the plate with the customer service and there are a few things they have got completely wrong.

IMO these factors could cause poor take up of the game after the free month. So I am saying to my friends, wait for the end of the free month as the population could drop off dramatically if Zen don't get their act together, and no one wants to be in a tumbleweed MMO.

I did buy the game, digital copy. Been downloading it for the past 24 hours and still have another 9GB to go. Money isn't a problem (well, $15 at the moment, the $60 for the game will be used eventually), but my personal time when I get out of work, hell, that's worth something to me lol.

I love it. Have 3 characters, lvl 14,12,8 and I've only had 1 quest bug and I've done every quest that i could find, including the Starter islands on all 3 factions. I've been spending most my time gathering and crafting the last couple of days but can't get enough of it. I've had little issues other than a few crashes on the first day of EA but they have gone now. Got a little slow down before at peak time but the game runs very well on my modest hardware.

If you cant deal with a few issues then wait a month. If you don't mind a few issues then get it as you won't regret it.

And I appreciate everybody's comments and opinions. Just going to let my game DL, try it out, and if needed I'll shelf it for a month or so until its "playable" the way it should be.

I am enjoying it immensely. Haven't had any bugged quests. Got kicked a few times in EA but that has stopped.

Game as it is is totally worth of your time,
but ZOS with is horrendous customer support is another question. If it is worth your money. same bug's in quests since first beta weekend same log in issues as from first beta weekend.

    Only reply is......................

I've actually had very few problems, only 1 quest bug. What you're seeing on the forums is an example of the infinite monkey theorem. With (guessing) 5 million people playing, even if 0.01% of them have an issue, that is still *5000* threads saying "I'm having problems". It's really not as bad as it's being made out to be.
  • glen.lewisb16_ESO
The game is great fun and very engrossing. But there are many issues as you've seen reported around the forums. Personally I've been getting kicked from the game due to 'an unknown error' incredibly frequently most times I try to play. When I do manage to get in for a few hours it's an amazing experience, but as I say, there's potential issues you may run into.

The game is awesome, and I'm the first on to point out bugs, because that's how they get fixed. It's worth it :)

Im level 48 on the Ebonheart pact, not one bug yet all quests complete with the achievement, all skyshard work and found.

Combat is refreshing, looks nice and reacts well. quests are ACTUAL quests ... not kill 10 boars, feed my cattle and give my wife a bath while I stand and watch you type quests like other MMO's.

All in all exciting game, very fun and stupidly addictive. True to The Elder Scroll series and very lore driven, would recommend this to anyone even if you only played skyrim and think that's as far as the series went.

Try it what can you lose ... (well $60) but lets be honest you spend that on a crap night out ...
