God forbid someone actually tries to buy or sell something outside their their stupid graphs and they lose it. Cracks me up when the sheep start posting their MM or TTC graphs when they get triggered about your sell or purchase prices.
Fair is whatever you can work out and both people accept. Some will pay more than x some less. X is just a starting place
It think the OP is equating "fair" with "average".
If someone is willing to pay a price, even if it is high compared to the average, how is it "unfair"?
depends on whom i am selling it to, and what the item is.
if it's Rare item or perhaps the person is Very rich and considers giving me a Large tip on the item that others do not normaly give.
there are Many factors to take into consideration during a "fair" transaction, even if its conducted in zone chat.
and on that rate to me, it would then be considered a "fair price"

I tend to ignore offers in /zone because I figure that if it's a good offer it will have sold by the time I've researched the item. I don't buy many items from other players and when I do it's because I want something specific, generally within a pretty short timeframe. By offering the item in zone, the seller is timing the transaction at their convenience rather than mine and bypassing the cost of listing the item for sale. They would need to offer some sort of carrot to get me to drop what I'm doing to do business with them.
I've played EvE in the past and thus don't trust anything being spammed in chat. If its a really good deal its probably a scam, if not then just get it off a guild trader without risking getting ripped off.
