MAP
Here I am only speaking about the vanilla map. The collectables such as lorebooks, will not be touched. And the idea is quite simple and its based on those maps in skyrim where you would interact with and have your map 'upgraded'. From the game point of view simple a main file where the map markers would be toogled from undiscovered to discovered. If my character does some exploring, I can go to such an item placed in the world and have the map sync. After that have my other alt go to the 'item' and have his map updated. Even from programmer point of view would be just a data compare where the only change that occurs is from false to true. This is an idea.
Mind you that only the things on the vanilla map are being discussed. Lorebooks, books, collectibles are not here. An add-on such as Destinations will still be heeded.
Skyshards
I have a character with 300 shards and level 50, make a second char and start getting shards as well until lvl 49. Each shard has its own unique id, so at level 50 a first comparation would be made between that character and the biggest shard collector and those uncollected by the second would be received automatically and what ha found extra could be added to the first. To make it more fair maybe an item placed in world which you interact with could trigger the event so the game's performance wouldn't be affected. Here are some ideas based on what I read so far.
Please note that some replies are talking about things that I am not talking about. I agree with the saying that 2 could look at the same picture and see different things. Give me feedback according to what I am saying and add ideas to the base of the idea. When I say 100% map completion I am not referring to everything. Just what you see when you press M on a vanilla game with no add-ons.
No, just no.
You have to explore and unlock things on each toon for a reason. Without the grind the game would get boring very quickly.
Why do people want easy mode give me everything right now, where's the fun and challenge in that?
reason is a double edged sword. Too few things to do is boring, repeating the same things too many times also boring. I am not asking for everything account shared. Just the reasonable ones. For example I have a main Khajiit tank and now I wish for a Khajiit sneaky assassin. Having to redo the entire map for the waypoints..... I just don't have the time for it. I like games but I also have work and house chores. If making map exploration account shared costs money for zenimax, ok then let me buy the tamriel map exploration coin for x Crowns. Here is an example.Without the grind the game would get boring very quickly.

I understand when some people say that characters are like different people. But that excuse works only for RP. Where no other player can see your map unlock progression without your permission.
Skyshards are somewhat easy to get. They just take time. But I want the SP on all my characters for more builds. Having to reset SP every time an idea pops in mind... not a nice thing.
It is a somewhat deal breaker for me having to grind everything on each character from 0. I get levels, but some other things I just don't understand.
So, can this game have such features or no?

If zos implemented a housing option where you could use a skyshard/ book and gain the knowledge from your account those of you who enjoy exploration could still freely go and do it. Those who don't wouldn't have to and everyone is happy.
Or is it so important for your self validation that people must do the things you enjoy even if they don't? If that's the case you must all come and play pvp regularly and YOU WILL LIKE IT!

And now I have hit this wall. When I made my new char and I saw that..... nothing that I have done with my main char was ported over... I felt sick and almost puked because of the emotions. So now I am at a point where I ask myself. Should I go or should I stay? I like the multiplayer but I don't like the game (from the character starts from Completely 0 point of view).

Motifs and crafting related achievements do, directly, relate to the likelihood of master writs that a character can acquire. If every character had access to what your 'master' had, you could be getting excessive master writs for the effort, and that imbalances it, as master writs, and the vouchers from it, are a form of in-game currency. With things interconnected, making more things 'account wide', could very well have unintended consequences.

So if zenimax is just another normal game dev company and this is just another normal MMORPG with the TES name in it, I am out. I am still waiting for a Developer to come and say something. Speaking about this with a player only gets me..... a friend or a foe.
FluffyDragg0n wrote: »Yea. I agree that skyshards and map should be account based. If i want to revisit something, should be for fun not the need to unlock something. Also skyshard SP should work just like CP does. That means you get the skyshards at level 50.
Yes to at least sky shards and guilds. All else I wouldn't care.

Guilds unlock account wide rank upon finishing their questline.
