If you are moving a lot, I would recommend a warden, especially if you have another templar in your group already. Templars are better for defensive situations like in towers or keeps, can't get too many of those in this case.

I maybe old school but id go with templar, safe and efficient, great purge

I prefer a templar to heal
But for pvp+the movement speed+the aoe heal warden would be a better choice i guess and if you run with 1 ice staff you can freeze your enemies a bit so they cant run away from your mini zerg

Kagrenac's Hope + Transmutation/Gossamer/SPC + Troll King/Earthgore/Bloodspawn

5 Heavy - 1 Med - 1 Light

Kag's is great for faster rezzing and healing, while Fasalla stacks nicely with the Corrupting Pollen morph of Healing Seed. The 2nd set depends on the group setup, like if others in the group are running Transmutation alrdy then I use one of the others.

Monster set also depends on the group: Earthgore is standard, but you need at least a few Troll Kings around. Bloodspawn is also a lovely choice for faster Permafrosts and Healing Thickets

All good suggestions. I would probably go with Fasalla — especially if there’s another Templar in the group running Transmutation. Defile healers are hella annoying.

Another frequently overlooked secondary healing set (again, only useful if someone else is running a standard main healing set) is Clever Alchemist. You can use it strategically to get a nice spell damage boost before you pop a big heal. I run it sometimes on my Templar healtank if I’m in a stronger group that isn’t dying much. Otherwise, I use Kags — mostly because Kags + Templar revive passive + Support heal passive = pure hilarity.

Warden Healer in small medium scale groups (5-10)

1. Purpose:
To know your purpose as a warden, you have to know that Templars have stronger emergency heal options, and no matter what you do, you can never compete with them in that department by imitating them.
Your purpose is what they CAN´T do: Replacing the "rapid bot", "purge bot", and healer role sufficiently good while doing some basic damage. A healer who can provide for Retreating Manoevres will save FAR more lives than a classical heal bot.

2. Stamina or Magicka?
Both work well with almost the same skill setup; competitive small medium scale PvP groups would prefer a StamWarden Off-Healer, though, because Healing Springs (THE argument of a MagWarden) starts outperforming all other healing skills only at a group size of approximately 8, and because a StamWarden Healer is still a rather powerful DD in small scale fights whereas a MagWarden is not.

3. Race
Wood Elf, particularly for Magicka: The role of a rapid bot is demanding, and while there are plenty of methods to restore magicka, there are only very few to restore stamina. Alternatively, Argonian.

4. Main Healing Skills

a) A Morph of Fungal Groth

b) Cleanse - a standard mistake of inexperienced groups is to run with Efficient Purge, or even Ritual of Retribution. Cleanse is one of the most powerful group heals in the game which converts enemy Bow and Magic ranged attacks into healing for the group. If you start using it, maybe 70% of the players in Cyro will be a no-threat to your group. Furthermore, it doesn´t scale with Magicka, so that a StamWarden healer can make good use of it.

c) If Magicka: Healing Springs or Energy Orb
If Stamina: Echoing Vigor

d) Healing Thicket or Light´s Champion: The Resto Staff Ulti is good up to 4 players, if you have more in your group, throw trees.

5. Main Support Skills:
a) Retreating Manoevre: makes your group immune to soft CC
b) A Morph of Scorch: debuffs and is a ground based damage source; and ground based damage sources are the prefered ones in Cyro because they can´t be as easily countered as e.g. projectiles
c) Permafrost: the ideal Ulti to support a charge of your group. Don´t even consider the other morph.
d) Corrupting Pollen: Though in most combat situations useless, it is a deciding factor if you fight other guild groups to take out their healing.

6. Main Regen Skills:

7a) Bull Netch: No matter if you are Magicka or Stamina, always pick the stam version.
b) Lotus Flower or Nature´s Embrace: You need a reliable class based HoT to push your regeneration. Trees work, too.
c) Mediate + Nature´s Embrace: I you have the Skill slots, this combo frees you of additional regen problems


7. Monster Set:
TrollKing outperforms Earthgore on a HoT- healer. Only pick Earthgore if there is another RELIABLE Stamina player in your group who already uses TrollKing.

8. Support Set:
Transmutation > Gossamer > SpellPower Cure, if things on the PTS stay like this

9. Main Set:
a) FrostMage: If you use a Frost Staff, you could use Vanguard´s Challenge, taking out the most dangerous enemy DD (typically a Magblade).
b) StamWarden: medium Fortified Brass or Bastion of the Heartland
c) other MagWarden: Shacklebraker or Bastion of the Heartland

10. Weapon Traits:
No matter how you play, you have to regenerate your Ulti extremely quickly to become what some people impolitely call "a trees spammer". Not only your heal output, but also your Stam and MAg regeneration depends on it. At least one weapon trait must be "decisive".
