I think ZoS messed up by not including the PTS. That way ppl that haven't got the summerset expansion could test it out and participate. And a free manor would have been a major incentive to up-grade.

Casual players should be quite interested in this, because it is probably their only chance of getting any kind of notable house in-game, because they don't spend enough time to earn gold, so they could get manor like this by ingame means and I doubt casuals will spend 100$ on the game they play 10 or less hours a week.

Summerfall Event ends on Friday, September 28 at 10:00AM EDT.
It is going to be close.
From the Summerfall faq:
When is the Summerfall Event?
The Summerfall Event begins on Thursday, September 20 at 11:00AM EDT and ends on Friday, September 28 at 10:00AM EDT. Note that the event sale continues on to October 2 and the window to earn the Summerfall Event rewards ends on October 7.
We have longer than September 28 to get the house.
How long would it take a new player to do this, and is any class best for it?
I hope we do cause that house is sick!
I seriously doubt that they’re gonna hold out on the house. Why would they? It would be horrible PR. Goodwill is a limited resource. Why squander it by setting your player base up for a fall? It makes no sense. The recent balance changes are hardly popular. Why throw fuel on the fire?

Not long. It's literally just moving from one side of the island to another while going near certain spots on the map. The only real hurdle is getting to Artaeum for that last point on the map. You have to do a couple quests to gain access, which should only take like an hour tops. And that estimate is for a brand new player who's still only just beginning to learn how the game works.
Although you could just group with someone who can already go there, go into the party menu, right click their name and click "travel to player" I think it is. That completely bypasses the quest requirement.

Actually.... In less than three months, I have nearly a million gold. 9 girls, each one does crafting writs. I could buy a notable house eventually - but I don't really like most of them.
The Psijic Villa I really like. I also like Strident Springs (hmm.... may not be "notable", not sure as not in game just now). Really though.... this game is EASY gold compared to some. And btw - I consider myself a casual. Yes, I play for hours every day - but I solo, and putz, and mess around. I have HORRIBLE lag (due to satellite being my only available connection) so things like dungeons and world bosses and dolmens are really not my thing.
Not to mention I already did dungeons, bosses, raids - all that crap - in WoW and RIFT. Not really interested any more.

Whatever the 'real' % score, the event will be marketed as a 100% success as it sounds good and makes good headlines!

I don't see how that is the case. The ones (like me) who have not yet bought Summerset are not participating. The rewards go only to those who own Summerset. If like me you only play on ESO+ you won't get the rewards so I doubt very much we are contributing in any way.
I think that's the point of this 'promotion'. It forces people like me to buy the DLC, which I will tomorrow. Then I only have to do it on one server cause its already done on one.
For these reasons I think the house is a fairly safe bet. Those who need a couple of weeks to get £13 together will have a couple of weeks from the start to get it together. The achievment itself is so easy to do I can't believe there were many on eso+ who had not already done it. So how does the needle move up the scale? By people completing Pathfinder this week or people on eso+ only buying the dlc? OK. I'm a proffesional cynic.

You guys might get the horse i can't see the house at 47%
Is there a chance to understand this?
Run like a maniac to 10 spots on the map. You don't have to talk to any NPC or fight any major enemies to do so.

Eh, as a story-centered player, I totally get it. There was something magical the first time I finished The Queen's Decree and took the portal to Arteum. I stood still for several minutes just taking in the view. There was something magical in it. Taking a taxi to a wayshrine or slamming yourself through the quest just for the sake of achievement hunting loses that element of awesomeness.
If you do the pathfinder solo don't you get anything ?

I didn't want to even go to summerset before the other content but Zos messed that up so i said what the hell..jainiadral wrote: »Salvas_Aren wrote: »Ok i jumped ahead and ruined my content because i felt bad.. hope you are happy.

Exactly..
@NoTimeToWait
Casual people do not have the time or the patience to fill a house like that so even if we get it, it will be empty forever.. I personally cannot be bothered wasting my time chasing crafting writs and house stuff, and even bother making the stuff..
Its a horrible gold sink and a time waster for what is effectively a waste of time as no one will ever see it or use it.
Just my opinion.
