interesting thought about having such a narrowly defined goal making it so difficult to achieve, or - to even understand...

I'm no math wiz, but - yeah we'd need like 10% daily bumps to that goal meter thing to reach 100%...that's probably not happening...

the dedicated pvp folks though make up a very, very small (15% maybe) percentage of the player base...

and, well, we like villas too

If its not 75-80% on Monday's update, the house will not happen, imo

I say we CAN do it!! I did the achievement on both NA and EU PC, so I did my part!

But... why? They posted a goal, if the community doesn't reach it do you expect them to never release a house that they invested time and resources into creating? Would you WANT them to? Or are you saying they should, like, wait a month to release it? Again... why?

yes thats it. especially for this event. i recognized already on forums and ingame hating on each other when somebody didnt do, like "u are unscial", "someone who doesnt is egomanic". ur spy addon would be so awesome. not.

I wonder if having this at the same time as the first week of PTS is having an impact on the numbers.

cant u just say thanks to someone, who isnt interested in the rewards and still did it to support u guys or just not react instead of peeing on him.

Anyone want to predict what sunday morn's percent increase will be? 5-7 percent at best, but probably 3%.
I hope I'm proved wrong. It would be great to see that "teaseOmeter" show 20% increase.

Eh, as a story-centered player, I totally get it. There was something magical the first time I finished The Queen's Decree and took the portal to Arteum. I stood still for several minutes just taking in the view. There was something magical in it. Taking a taxi to a wayshrine or slamming yourself through the quest just for the sake of achievement hunting loses that element of awesomeness.

Would it help to have all of my characters to get the Pathfinder Achievement?

Sorry, but this seems really, really weird to me. Either the marketing/events department had a late night party when they came up with this idea, or they really have no idea about what players will, and won't spend there time on. A casual player isn't likely to even bother doing this as theirs no reason to if they only play 2-3 hours a week. Dungeons give way better rewards, and they get this events rewards anyway just by logging into the game.

So yes very, very, weird.

What you're missing is that's a risky strategy with minimal benefit, at least for someone who wants the house. It could work - but only if most people don't do it - if everyone thought the same way then no one gets the house, and there's no way to tell what the majority of people are doing.

And what benefit do they get from refusing to participate themselves? They save a few minutes of their time. It took me 30 minutes to do this solo on the NA server, on a level 5 character with an untrained mount, following the map on the on the website. It would have taken me slightly less time on EU where I normally play, but I was taking my time with that one and gathering crafting materials along the way (I even stopped to do one of the Geyser events) so I can't say for sure.

So I think the only people likely to do that are ones who genuinely don't care if they get the house or not, and don't care if anyone else does either. (There will of course be other people who don't participate for other reasons, but I'm not counting them here.)

If we get the house it will be free for everyone who has Summerset. This is basically a more complicated version of when they put Morrowind on sale and then gave the Nix-ox mount to anyone who bought it before the sale ended (including those who already owned it). Same idea but with 3 possible rewards and an additional step for us.

And no, it's not 100% of people who owned Summerset (or 100% of people in the game). They just didn't want to use actual numbers because then that could be used by players and other interested parties to estimate the active population of the game and ZOS don't want us to know that (especially via an estimate based on incomplete data).

If you believe ZOS then they looked at the number of people who own Summerset, the number of people who have already completed pathfinder and probably the number of people who bought it last time it was discounted, and worked out what they think is a reasonable target. If you don't believe ZOS then you've got a whole range of conspiracy theories to choose from - some claiming we'll get the house no matter what, some claiming we cannot get the house no matter what and some claiming it's dependant on something entirely different to what they've told us.
