6 seconds of Major Protection would be way to overpowered in PvP. Also magicka DD's are getting squishier anyway with cast time on shields.
Oh and this is not Diablo, I don't get why ppl always compare ESO to other games. In other games you also have huge cooldowns on stealth abilitys for example...

Ugh again PvP screwing up PvE balance, well they have to find a way to make this work for both because I think this is a great solution for stamina dd problems, also in PvP people don't usually go DW they go 2H/Bow it 2H/S&B

actually sustain was nerfed because of PvP not PvE, and then pver had to adapt and add heavy attacks to rotation and use witchmothers and camoran throne

You just drop a monster set, its not a huge dps loss, just like 3k at best, also it gives better sustain with the stamina recovery bonus so it will actually be the only way stamina DDs can manage any of the new trials
