Yes! We can do it!

To only see a 5% increase is, well, rough. I thought for sure it would be higher! With the live stream I really thought we could get a bit higher than that. We still have the rest of the weekend for NA to go though.

I'm going to still try and hope! Maybe people are just waiting to play still? I really wanted that house and it certainly persuaded me to pick up summerset finally. I've done all I can and did both PC megaservers.

(TBH I think the pet and horse are kinda ugly, but free is free I suppose.)

Pretty much sums it up for me too. I created a char on NA yesterday to help out and seeing that we went from 7% to 5% on a Friday/Saturday makes it pretty clear that we'll not 'get there'. I guess the mount will unlock and then the villa will be on a 'you didn't make it, but look' sale.

People have stated many valid points. Bottom line is we have no idea how many people is equal to 100%, which is the real issue. We don't even know what is equal to 1%.

As well as the fact others have stated, people still work or are just otherwise occupied. And there are probably many who just haven't had a chance to go on ESO yet. So for now wait and see.

ZoS will only haver one "Chapter" active at a time, meaning that what was considered a chapter one year that you had to purchase will later become part of DLC instead (so ESO+ will give access) and be replaced with next step of zone, content and other features related to that new chapter for that year.

It would complicate things to have several different "Chapters" (story and zone) that people could buy beside the normal variation where some content are being sold as a package like mounts, costumes etc in standard or deluxe version.

Not sure. I would have expected to see the numbers really jump. I think word is still getting around (at least in the guilds that I'm in) about doing the achievement on both the NA and EU server. However the percentage of completion isn't dramatically jumping. Suppose after this weekend, will have more of an idea.

If we don't get close to it by the end of the weekend, (Monday morning), then the answer is no. There are a lot of people who started playing ESO by buying Summerset. They played for awhile, then quit.

Well, I did manage to make an EU character and 0 speed horse her around the isle. Happily just as I was ready to ask around for someone to travel to for Artaeum I saw a Zone announcement offering exactly that. So I've added one more participant! And made a fun character I will likely never ever actually play unless needed on PTS EU slots, heh. Here's hoping for a weekend bump, though oddly enough it seems like weekends are when fewer people play MMOs. It's like they go outside or something.

Downside: I looted a praxis for a Redguard Well, Covered out of a backpack and would love that on my main account. Drat.

This is precisely what bothers me about this event. Nothing was revealed on how you actually can win it. I've never read anything by ZoS stating whether picking it up on alts or not benefits. We have no tangible targets. I hope we win it. I know a lot of people who will disappointed and some with some people who might respond badly toward the game should it fail (in large part due to the nebulousness). I personally think it would be a marketing mistake in the sense that they will likely garner some bad blood by a lot of the player base, but we'll see I suppose.

Don't know if this guess has been made before, and its only a guess...

What is 100% nobody has given a clue what it means but Zos know and it has a definite number cause they have said so.
This is definately to do with marketing. Were sales of Summerset low? If you have ESO+ there is no real reason to buy Summerset. There is the clue.

What number of people have already completed the Summerset Pathfinder? I would guess everyone who has access to Summerset just prior to start of this 'promotion'. That number is your 100%. Our starting point of around 25% will be the percentage of players who have purchased Summerset. 100% will be reached if everyone on ESO+ who already have the achievment buy Summerset DLC.

I will be buying Summerset on Monday, so on Monday I'll be contributing. I wonder if enougth people will realise and get the DLC its well worth it.

Well after seeing the percent change only by 3% from yesterday, i am starting to think that we cannot. I mean if we were going to do it i would have thought it would have been done in the first 3 days or so. Not struggling to go up by 3% in a day. lets hope though.

They did not reveal a lot, but some info has been spread:

Alts on one server (there exist 6) do not count. If you want to make repetition count, do it on more than one server. Many people to it on one platform, there on two servers, which makes 2 out of 6.

100% is a number made up by Zeni, not disclosing anything about it but that it is lower than 100% of the initially sold copies. So we have to reach a goal, that can't move further away, even if people start buying Summerset during this event.

So there remain two grains of salt, actually:

They don't disclose the number of achievements we need for 100%, at least not now.
We have basically no control whether they tell us the truth. They could secretly cheat on us, maybe to encourage us, or discourage us.

They could tell us a fairy tale and how sorry they are that we didn't make it (while we did) and put the house into the crown store. They could even cheat on us in a completely different way and gift us the house that we earned together (while we did not).

That's all up to your imagination.

I suspect most people who followed the GM around yesterday already had done the achievement.

If the event is rigged (I think it is), then I'm sure we'll get the house. They'll probably keep the percentage low until the final days to boost sales. If it isn't rigged, then who knows. I'm not too optimistic unless there's a lot of engagement from either new or more casual players towards the end of event.

Well all that is within the power of each of us is to do our bit on as many servers as we can.

Also spread encouragement in guild chat. Some people are not bothering this one fears because they know they will get the same rewards as someone who did make the effort. However if too many travellers take that approach then we are all worse of as a result. Perhaps it may been better if there was also some small extra unique reward for those who actually completed the achivement. Still this is an interesting experiment in the thoughts and actions of travellers yes.

I remember as a kid my dad promising me all kinds of *** just to get some joy from my joy of believing something good was about to happen...

he rarely followed through though...

hopefully some friendly within zos can get a hold of that goal number and shave a couple of zeros off of it...

I think i may just disengage myself from the thought of acquiring that beautiful villa...

It’s rigged. ZOS won’t reveal the NUMBERS. With all the uproar already with the coming nerfs would be bad form NOT to give people an incentive to log in and play when many are considering quitting or playing less and playing other games. “Give em a freebie or two and login rewards” lol “they’ll play.”

Wouldnt it be smarter to give the house to everyone. then sell furniture packs for 500/1000 Crown each ?

It counts once per account, per server.

So if all your characters are on the same server (you can see them all in the character list together) then you only need to do it once. But if you want to double your participation you can switch to the other server and do it there. On PC you do that by going back to the login screen (not the launcher - the one where you put in your username and password) and selecting the other server from the menu. I'm not sure about consoles.

If you've never played on the other server before you'll need to make a character and complete the tutorial before you start, but because of level scaling you don't need to level up first (and there's very little combat involved, if any). Don't forget to check whether you have any mounts on the other server - any you got outside the game (like the ones from the Summerset and Morrowind collectors edition) will be available on both servers. Of course it won't be trained, but it's still better than running around.

I personally feel a bit of apathy already creeping in. I think it may have something to do with the low engagement and low metric outputs. Just consider for a moment, the infographic from 2018 Midyear Mayhem:

Summerfall, meanwhile, has a single metric. That's indirectly a measure of distance traveled.
And yet I've never seen a single metric cause so much confusion. I suspect maybe because ZOS should have allowed it to be up to 3 characters per account on any server, instead of once per server per account. Then you could be comfortable in your native latency and maybe balance the PVP community who value Cyrodiil rewards and not sitting in a queue far more highly than 1 collectible they can use in PVP and 2 they cannot.

I totally understand why PVP wouldn't care one East Empire teabag about Summerfall, and that there's nothing I can personally offer them to offset 30 minutes or an hour of lost PVP play time - especially if that means logging onto a different server. But surely there are many PVP players who bought Summerset for the Jewelry and Psijic options.

I'm not going to blame anyone outside of ZOS. This might be their wake-up call that not everyone values every part of a Chapter equally and not every sale is equal or even particularly valued post-purchase.
