Wow...actual logic. Well done. The alternative to a half-looted container is no container there at all. If the previous player took everything, the plant/chest/whatever no longer exists, or is the "empty" one. When the timer started at open expires, the container respawns with new content, whether it was empty or half-empty.

I was there. It's not their fault!

Actually, the "Entitled Ones" are those that think of "Me, Me Me", "I'm Selfish and will takes what I want", and think about no one else but them selves.
I know it is a concept that is out dated and forgotten by some, but it is called "Common Courtisy" and 'Thinking of Others over Yourself".
This is a old subject and re-spawn times and this and that don't matter.
It boils down to what kind of person you are.
Do you open doors for a elderly lady? Do you give up your seat on a bus? Do you let some one else to go in front of you in line at the store?
Yes I feel leaving the "Un-Wnated Items" in Nodes and Chests to be a A** move, but hey, those that do it are probably that way in RL.
Just my 2 Drakes...
Huzzah!!
