This is why everyone needs ESO Plus, then you don't have to leave things behind.
Even more annoying are players that "sample" a node without taking anything from it, but set it's level then move on. I can't even count the number of times I got to a node displayed as Rubedite or Ruby Ash, harvested it then found myself with some useless intermediate level raw material. Why the xuth do they do that?

Dude, worms are NOT junk, I pay good money to anyone who is selling a stack of worms, they are perhaps the rarest bait drop from harvesting (bait from fishing nodes are not being counted in this). If you find those worms send me a PM and ill be glad to buy em off of you!

Um. I don't fish. So... if you're on PC NA, hit me up in game and I'll GIVE you all the bait crap I have.
WoW and RIFT wore me to a nub on fishing. I'm NOT FISHING in this game.

You should have tried fishing in Skyrim.
That's not how it works. It doesn't respawn faster if it's fully looted. It's identical whether the person took something, nothing, or everything from it.LordSkyKnight wrote: »Who cares how long the node takes to respawn once opening it up. Um. Without a mod, there wasn't fishing in Skyrim?

I've literally tested it. You find an out of the way node, open it, sit and wait. After a little while it despawns and respawns.Sylvermynx wrote: »That's not how it works. That hasn't been my experience. I've run across nodes of whatever sort where there's nothing but junk left. If it's a runestone I take whatever's left as I have lowbies who can use it. But if I'm back there hours later, the backpack or basket or whatever with the useless white weapon or armor piece, or the bugloss with only crawlers left.... well, they haven't respawned - it's the same stuff. And actually, I've made a point to go back a day later to certain nodes, as I'm a curious cat. They're still the same as they were the day before.

Backpacks and baskets aren't the same - they're instanced to you.

Really. I've had players run up and grab a basket or backpack before I could get it (due to lag... mine sucks). If they're instanced to me, how is that happening?

Cos many people are selfish and could not care less about other players, it takes a second to loot everything but clearly it is too much for some people.
