This is a ZOS issue not a player one.

Blame ZOS each and every time you come across it. They could fix it so they despawn fast enough that it wouldn't matter anymore, but they don't. They think you should be able to *** around for 10 minutes before it despawns just incase your bags were full.

This is why everyone needs ESO Plus, then you don't have to leave things behind.

Craft bag should be a base game feature. I played this game for about a year in total ignorance of leaving stuff in nodes apparently being offensive to people. I would sometimes loot everything and manually delete the junk later (and yes, bait is junk to someone who plays for solo questing only and has no guild or trader), and other times I just didn't care. I had no clue other players might pitch fits about it, and and no knowledge of how long respawn timers are, or how they worked. ESO was my first MMO, and I was there to do solo questing and ignore immersion-breaking objects called other players as much as possible.

These days, I don't leave stuff in nodes. But I also have a craft bag. I don't care if I run across a partially looted node. I understand that many players aren't doing it maliciously (because I wasn't) and in the grand scheme of things, it isn't a big deal. I'll raise pitchforks against the scourge that is botting - the true bane of nodes across Tamriel - before I get ornery about someone leaving worms in an ancestor silk.

Btw I understand those who can't loot everything because they don't have a crafting bag.

I remember back way back when there were "Plump worms" they were not for fishing but some disgusting sounding old recipes...Those worms were worthless.......and always left in empty jute nodes

Does anyone still have these old items that you can’t get anymore? And if so, are they tradeable? Or able to be sold?

I dislike this behavior, but it has decreased pretty drastically over the years. Only in Orsinium event this year did I see the behavior picking up again.

It's not so big a deal if you don't encounter it often... besides, I'll take the worms happily.

"And it's important to state that our decision to go with subscriptions is not a referendum on online game revenue models. F2P, B2P, etc. are valid, proven business models - but subscription is the one that fits ESO the best, given our commitment to freedom of gameplay, quality and long-term content delivery. Plus, players will appreciate not having to worry about being "monetized" in the middle of playing the game, which is definitely a problem that is cropping up more and more in online gaming these days. The fact that the word "monetized" exists points to the heart of the issue for us: We don't want the player to worry about which parts of the game to pay for - with our system, they get it all."

Not having the craft bag is not an excuse. I have one subbed account and one free account, and my inventory space on the free account is annoyingly limited, but I know that when I'm out doing things and I plan for it because that's part of belonging to a community, remembering that there are other people playing and not being a lazy POS because I'd rather they be inconvenienced instead of me. If I find things in a node or chest that I don't have the room for, I sacrifice something else in my bag. If I was running around with a bag full of stuff I cannot live without, that's on ME for being too lazy to go offload my inventory crap. It's *always* on the person who decides to let someone else be bothered instead of them.

That hasn't been my experience. I've run across nodes of whatever sort where there's nothing but junk left. If it's a runestone I take whatever's left as I have lowbies who can use it. But if I'm back there hours later, the backpack or basket or whatever with the useless white weapon or armor piece, or the bugloss with only crawlers left.... well, they haven't respawned - it's the same stuff. And actually, I've made a point to go back a day later to certain nodes, as I'm a curious cat. They're still the same as they were the day before.

You could swim and catch fish in Skyrim :) after hearthfire you could "grow" fish in the water by the morthal property... More noodling than fishing I guess...

On topic though... Just destroy what you don't need after harvesting. Easy peasy.

Oh, well, yeah - but you couldn't actually fish (with pole and bait etc.) without a mod. Fishing.... well - that implies a rod, a reel, bait - and the ability to make the casting motion.

So for me, in Skyrim, there wasn't really fishing. And truthfully - after WoW and RIFT.... I didn't miss it one bit.
