I have 3 of each class, and level them up enough in crafting, horse skills, etc. that I don't regard them as deletable. The race choices aren't perfect in most cases, but I also haven't minmaxed enough to mind, and if I DID mind enough I could spare the crowns for my first-ever race-change token.
Characters I've completed at least 10 dungeons each with include 3 magicka sorcerers, 3 magicka templars, a magicka warden, a magblade, and a stamblade.
My current top characters are:- A Breton sorcerer who was my original overland main, is 19 quests away from "Tamriel Hero", is my main crafter, and is my only non-templar to heal a DLC dungeon. He will be retired when shields get cast times.
- An Altmer sorcerer who was my first character to Undaunted 9. He too will be retired.
- A Breton templar, who is the only character on whom I've completed a vet DLC dungeon.
- A Bosmer nightblade who's become my overland main because I prefer a sneaky style of play.

✭✭✭✭As a healing templar who has played since beta I can not find any sympathy. Not trolling, templars were crucified by nerfs early in this game and imo this is still not as bad as back then for sorcs now. It is part of the balancing cycle. Time to accept that, This too shall pass.
What a moronic mentality. "Herp derp they mad bad changes in the past that affected my class so instead of opposing bad changes I'm just going to bury my head in the sand while they make more."
Templars have ALWAYS been good for healing. They got destroyed for DPS and, not coincidentally, they are rarely played in PvE DPS roles now.
The difference this time is sorcerers have no roles left for which they're either fun or strong, let alone both.

Because they can point to it and claim they do pay attention whenever topics like this come up.
At the end of the day it doesnt matter what the intention was behind the feedback, its what they do with that feedback that matters. Class Reps were never going to solve the issue of ZOS making terrible decisions. Having their ear on these things doesnt mean theyll agree to those Reps logic or insight. Only that they can parade it around when people become dissatisfied with the ultimate decisions being made at ZOS.
When the class reps recently said a shield nerf was coming, they were very clear that this was NOT their idea.1 -

✭✭✭✭✭He might be right that this change won't make it to live. I am figuring that it will.
This change was known and approved by a whole bunch of management types. I assume that includes the new Gameplay lead, and box full of Producers and Directors. They likely played on the internal servers every day. I think that not only is this cast time change intentional, it is so intentional that they will not give it up without a fight. It is what they want to do.
I think what they will do is focus on the "by the time it is cast, it is too late" and, in PTS patch 4.2.2, cut the cast time by 25% or something. Maybe 50%. Perhaps increase the cost, or decrease the duration, to compensate for the reduced cast time.
Edit: I agree that this seems counter-intuitive to a dynamic combat.

Magblades ARE being nerfed in Murkmire, hard. But unlike sorcerers, magblades are going into this patch overpowered. Also, they've been more fun to play than sorcerers for quite a while.

I dont know what Jesus had to do with it. But other classes can STILL SHIELD STACK. Hell, in PvE my DK tank to get a 62k shield. And thats all insta cast. But they didnt nerf that.And Godship? Another cancerous post. Idk for sure but I’m assuming you’re a pvp player since you are whining about shield stacking? You do realize there is a lot more pve content than pvp in this game right? You might be happy bob can get his shield up in time in pvp and you can kill him because that’s the only defense he has but when he’s carrying you ass through a vet dungeon you would wish he’d still been able to instant cast his shield. I don’t give two sh*ts about the changes in pvp, sounds fair honestly but when/if all those ppl you say bye bye to do leave for a different game then someone will miss them because the pvp players can’t keep this game afloat. 95% of the ppl that say they’re gonna leave won’t because they’re elder scrolls fans. I can say this though on Xbox other than eso the other only half decent mmo is neverwinter? When/if another good mmo comes to Xbox then ZOS beware.

Tank + 3 DPS with vigour basically makes healers void. If I am say a non pet sorc. Then I don't run matriarch. Which means I only have shields as my self defense. I would easily take a Magika version of current vigour over cast time shields.Edited by karekiz on September 19, 2018 3:36AM2 -
