Crown Crates - Clicking exit right after selecting the crate sends the crate to the void

Hello,
I noticed that when clicking the "exit" option right after selecting a crown crate without choosing any cards makes it so that no rewards are being granted and the crown crates count is reduced by 1.
So if the player didn't choose any cards when opening a crate, the crate is lost and he will receive no rewards.
This bug is punishing players who mistakenly clicked "exit" and didn't choose any cards.
@ZOS_JessicaFolsom Please fix it.

I had an instance once with a free crate where i opened the crate up but never the cards because my CAT stealthbomb JUMPED off a shelf and landed on my keyboard.....

.....I have no idea what keys exactly she landed on but my cherecter was mounted on a horse when it was all said and done.

Anyways i thought i lost that crate too, but turns out a memento that was in that crate was just added to my list with out any fanfare, (thats how i figured it out)and the consumables were added to the stack i had yet to exchange for gems. If you would have gotten a repeat you may have just gotten gems.

Now that is what happened for me, it could be different for you

Customer Support are not supportive and they didn't send me the 4 lost crown crates yet(if they ever will).

Uh, I've done this a couple of times. You still get the items.

You can verify this easily. Make sure you currently have no gem-extractable items. Click on a crate. Click exit. Now go to gem extraction. You'll see that there are items that you can extract. You're still getting all the items, just without the stupid commentary and animation flair.

I did that and got nothing to extract.
Maybe it is a new bug, I don't think I missed any items to extract.

Ummm.. me and that Khajiit go way back.. we are all just trying to make a living. I mean imagine your job is to sit on an crate all day and act interested in everyone’s slot machine pull

I find that a little suspicious.
I would have noticed that the first time and went immediately into panic mode trying to figure it out and post if I had any concern about the rewards from crates at all, since you said it only reduced the count by one each time.
This sounds like you may have discovered it earlier and continued hoping to get something guaranteed out of customer support people or are just trying to pull one over on people completely. FYI, there are records to show what you did and did not get on their side.

I will not rule out the chance that this is a true bug as I had my daily reward reset the timer when I logged to character select to claim it on another character in August which shows precedence of odd things, but the way you handled this is suspect.

I opened dozens of crates

When opening so many crates, mistakes like clicking "exit" are more common.
I have no reason to lie and I do know that ZOS have logs, so if I'm mistaken I won't get anything.
If there is such a bug, it will be best if ZOS will fix it soon before more players encounter it.

I just tried this again last night with the new Twitch crate that I got over the weekend.

Clicked on the crate, Pacrooti started to do his spiel, and clicked Exit.

I didn't reveal any cards or anything, but I still got the stuff from the crate, which I proceeded to then gemify.

The loot is generated and placed in your inventory the moment you click on a crate. All the card clicking nonsense afterwards is just a show and nothing else.
