Bestbuy and Gamestops have the physical Editions, but not the CE. The Bestbuy by my Office has probably 15 copies on the shelf, I'm holding out for the CE.

I was charged for my physical IE from amazon on the 2nd and it has been in "shipping now" limbo for the past two days. I've spoken with 2 amazon reps and they both assured me I would receive the game by the 8th. I doubt it at this point. None of you should get your hopes up too high.

Add me to the ever growing list of people who aren't getting their CE imperial edition today... Bums me out since I preordered this thing early February and was part of 4 betas and am gonna get locked out on Sunday. Zeni should extended the lockout date for at least a week IMO... Well, i guess I can also way RAID with my guildmates on WoW on Sunday lol.

the imperial edition is the collectors edition, whether its digital or not.

The physical Imperial edition is the CE, unless I'm very confused, which is possible.

Hate to say it, but after reading these posts, glad I cancelled my Imperial Collector's edition (retail) from Amazon and went with digital. Although the statue, book, etc. are cool, I took time off work to play this week, and I'd be pretty angry if I couldn't.

Good luck to you guys, hope things work out.

maybe they made a boxed voucher version of the imperial downloadable version? which doesn't come with anything special in that case ;)
  • miked_1_ESO
Soukoji, is you milk glass always half empty? There is progress being made on their backend systems if your being charged, which means the product was physically scanned to ship. Amazon told me that they don't know why the shippment dates are so out of whack, but things are moving now.

I agree ZoS needs to extend the lockout, even SWTOR gave a week grace period for their players. Adding 2 extra days on a weekend makes little difference with shipments.

Bah my bad, that should not have read imperial.

I preordered with Amazon on January 31st. After speaking with Amazon and ZOS today I have verified that with an April 8th delivery I will be out of the game for two days. Both companies pointed a finger at the other and apologized.

I ordered nine weeks ago. I've been charged $100. And I'm going to have two days (minimum) where I can't play with my friends.

ZOS can't blame Amazon for this debacle. This is a PR issue and ZOS is failing.

    Badly.

Well, I'm screwed. After talking to the Amazon rep she told me that they could not order the physical imperial edition for me because Amazon isn't selling it anymore unless I wanted to buy the "New from $199.99"

SOOOOO...my only hope is to a hold of ZeneThesda and talk it out with these guys.

The difference between my issue and other's is I was charged FULLY on wednesday april 2 and my copy was just ignored for 2 full days now.

I'm being realistic, sorry, but it's a limited item. They ran out and they are trying to stop collateral damage. Having a lot of hope is going to set most of you up to be very upset soon.

At this point, I just want to cancel my physical copy and purchase a digital one, however, I do want to take advantage of the CE.

What would have been most accurate would have been a disclaimer at the end of the Lawrence Schick Imperial Unboxing Video that says:

Oh and you have 48 hours to activate this or we'll cut your access.
    Which is on a Friday.
So to anyone who ordered online, good luck with that.

I got the same email today from Amazon there is a delay and they don't know when item will be available. Amazon told me they overstocked and they will "try" to get the item from vendor, but no guarantee. This is so upsetting - not only will I not have a code to play after Sunday, but it seems the only way I will be able to get the item is to pay $200 (double the amount of original) to people that are reselling the imperial retail edition on Amazon - how is this fair - what did I do wrong? Do I deserve compensation from Amazon? If I would have known this I would have pre-ordered it from Best Buy or Walmart.

-not sure what my options are? what should I do?

I finally got an E-mail response from ZOS.

    Greetings!

Thank you for contacting The Elder Scrolls Online Team.

All Early Access customers will be granted an extended grace period until Sunday at 8AM EDT/12PM GMT before they are required to transition their account to live. This will cover online retail customers who didn't get their boxes shipped in time and also give digital customers more Early Access time.

Your entitlements should not expire because you have not yet activated your game code. Once you activate your explorers pack your items will be sent to your in game mail. There is no delay between the moment the mail is sent and the moment it is received. Mails in The Elder Scrolls Online are account wide which means that players will be able to retrieve the content of their mail box from any character on their account, regardless of their faction. The Inbox mails will expire 30 days after they were received. Unopened mails containing items will be returned to the senders after a few days. There is no maximum number of Inbox mails, however the mail box will reject mails from other players if 74 or more messages are stored - system mails will never be rejected. It is of course possible to delete mails by highlighting them and pressing [X]

Amazon has assured us that it will ship all Imperial Edition orders out for delivery on April 4 so that all customers will be able to enjoy their purchase on launch day. If you have additional questions regarding your Amazon order, please contact Amazon's customer support for further assistance.

---I never received my explorer's pack code for pre-ordering, and not only that, but my order was cancelled and can't order another for under $200

I'm jumping around in happiness as I write this! My game has been shipped and I got a FedEx tracking number.

My advice to all of you is to call Amazon and be very serious about you wanting to play the game TODAY. Ask for a supervisor, tell them you preordered from amazon when you could have bought it from some other place. Only after 3 calls (2 of which I was talking in a very polite tone; and one in which I was semi-yelling) I received a compensation from amazon and the assurance that my game will be shipped ASAP. (make sure your game is set on 1 day shipping too).
I think being charged for the game is also a good sign.

Edit: In Transit : On Schedule
Expected delivery: Saturday, April 5, 2014, by 8:00pm

    GO GO ANGRY GAMERS!

I see your point. I think the ones seeing activity on the accounts now are good, but I can see the worry if you've paid for several days now and see nothing changing.

Amazon just called me, order is shipping now. CS Manager Brad (again, might just be the guy in the next cube for all I know) apologized and hope it won't impact future buying decisions.

Maybe I referenced in my company account where I'm the PoC... seemed to grease the wheel somewhat.

The flawed aspect of that statement, If they SHIP on the 4th of April it's highly doubtful you'll get it SAME DAY and rarely on Saturday. Not to mention extending it to a regular 48 hour window on to a Sunday, where no mail anywhere for whatever reason is delivered. Shipping and delivery are two separate things Zenimax, of course they are shipped today but no way in heck most of us will get them until mid-late next week

What i hate about this whole thing is that people who ordered early didn't get priority over those who snagged a cancelled copy late February. I ordered mine like the first of Feb. There are people here who ordered earlier than me and still didnt get a copy shipped.

Somebody official get in here and clarify stuff. If we are in early access and have the email that says "thank you for redeeming your pre order code...you are now registered for the explorer's pack", can we safely buy a digital copy and just cancel the physical CE?

My first call to Amazon I got a CSR Supervisor who said they weren't filling orders based on order date because they began the packaging process before the missing shipment was known to be late, so it was totally luck of the draw. I ordered late January.

If my order status says: "Preparing for Shipment" That i absolutely will be getting my Imperial Edition? Just want to confirm if I can.
