I go way out of my way on the daily to make it better on the EP side... dunno wtf is going on DC side, but y’all sure keep on zerging the *** out of everything, all the time....

Wasn’t long ago DC was bragging about an abundance of leadership and organization in this thread... where the hell is it???

Every time I have talked to you in-game, you brushed off the idea of leading groups so I don't think you're putting this all-out effort you're talking about. Anyone can zone-general this thing...

I've only spoken to you on one day, and I volunteered to you then very directly that I cannot group in Cyro because when I do, I lag and have load times when porting (MacBook + small town US internet)... However, that does not impair my ability to LEAD and encourage or discourage certain behaviors overall.

You were imploring me incessantly to get EP to attack AD instead of DC despite my telling you EP players didn't care or want to. I relayed what you said to the EP players that were on and most said to respond to you with some very choice words. AD was doing an emp push then, but a few hours later DC map zerged the entire thing so it was all moot. You were participating in said map zerging.

OVERALL/Big-Picture leadership ("zone-general" as you call it) is a HUGE DC WEAKNESS .. exemplified by the constant reliance on ZERGING/PvDoor/Underhanded shenanigans for months on end now...

Get a F'ing clue please.

I've been down this road. What I quickly learned was that the forums are not the place for new players to address those concerns. I was given excuses, trash talked and inundated with stupid memes.

Well... I'm old and my memory is bad, so i went back to when you first came in and i invited you to zz. I didn't see anything like that from page 301 to 307. Maybe i just didn't go far enough...

Anyway.... Was a fun reading the old posts. Apparently i got [ snip ]ed for something.... Probably some hard core trash talk....

When new people jump into pvp in this game, it can be pretty daunting. There is a steep learning curve and that can be overwhelming. What saved me from just giving up was being able to find a group consistently and then a guild. I think being qble to offer those things to others, if you can, go a long way to helping others into pvp.

You can't make other people play another faction just to appease people on EP or AD.

The community that was here is gone.
The community that had unwritten rules of no tri keep camping, or gate camping. To back off keeps when scrolls were taken to encourage game play for all factions.

When you had guilds on all factions that you enjoyed playing against. The ones that didn't t bag or *** talk you for being a newb. The ones that actually helped newer players, regardless of what faction you were.

That's what I experienced in BWB, and it was fun, while it lasted.

Like many have said, under 50 died when it became Kyne. It's just not what it used to be anymore.

Well... First of all a was a little suprised to find the ESO themed xbox did not come with a copy of ESO ( what's up with that @ZOS_GinaBruno !

Sorry if I was coming off overly aggressive but I'm kinda fed up with the antics and extremely poor sportsmanship now commonplace amongst the ESO PvP community overall.

Remember not all of us have been playing that long and have the luxury of just playing leveled & geared up alts in other campaigns whenever we want.

(My only 2 vet toons are non-combat AD crafter and an in-progress EP Warden.)

In 2015 ( right before I started playing ESO ) I ran my first marathon, since then I haven't ran that much at all. All i've really done was play ESO.

This morning i'm running my first 5k since 2015. My goal is to finish the run and not let the new mother with the baby stroller pass me up.

@enkil it's all good. It is frustrating when you go into pvp, to pvp, and just get steamrolled repeatedly.

It takes the fun out of it and what you are left with seems more like work.
The bad part is a lot of people encourage DC to gate camp. I've seen it posted in chat when I was last on DC. Gate them and make them quit.

What they haven't understood yet, or don't care, is that kind of thing makes the camp dead. Then you get 10+ running to every ress you flip, same with keeps.

That's why I left DC. It's not much pvp when the majority of the enemies you fight are npcs.

I came back to eso and into bwb at its height, I was one of said baby seals. I ran a damn hybrid orc magdk vamp with snb/ice staff. I died soooooooooo much, but it pushed me to actually learn the game.

There are alot of factors that contribute to people getting discouraged but let's be real, if dieing is one of them then they would NEVER hang in any pvp.

In my opinion, what REALLY drives new PvPers away is not the enemy players, but the "friendly" players that create a toxic environment. Yeah it sucks to be gate-camped, and having been on the receiving end of it many times I choose to NOT do it myself, but it can also foster a strong sense of faction loyalty when you and your fellow alliance members rally to finally push the gate campers out and close the gates. It's when the players that are supposedly your allies troll and grief you in zone chat that I tend to drift away from a campaign.

As far as the repeated whining about "zerging", suck it up and either learn how to avoid the zerg, or get your alliance organized and fight zerg with zerg. This game was designed around large-scale battles, and EVERY ALLIANCE ZERGS, so complaining about it brings into question your knowledge and ability to PvP. The first time I followed 20+ fellow DC to some keep to attempt to capture it, having no idea what was going on or what to expect, was the most exciting moment for me in this game, and hooked me on its PvP, so attempting to belittle players for it is pretty elitist in my opinion.

So the thread has devolved into a woe is me thread again. Hmmm...I find it odd that people should whine and cry about being zerged down. Here's why. Two days ago midmorning I believe a certain EP player( I will not be naming anyone here) whispers me and asks me to get DC to stop zerging the map down as they only had 5 players logged in. At first I felt a certain amount of empathy untill...he tells me that EP has chased off all the wanna be zergers from that faction and they aren't welcomed in EP. So, wait....EP has chased off people who want to run in large groups but then will complain about other factions running large groups.....REALLY???? How odd. You will complain about being being 20v5'd yet you will 5v1 someone and think it's different because you aren't zerging....How odd!! Every now and again look inwards for the answer to your problems instead of outwards.

I recently vetted my first stamblade from DC and geared it up pretty well in monster and purple for now...Lol did pretty bad in vivec but am hoping to split time between vet nonvet from now on...

It’s not about winning campaigns or fighting zergs. I think it’s more important to find people you enjoy playing with - winning or losing. it’s important to make some friends and have fun - a concept that most EP do not understand very well. (So grateful to My many friends to DC

)

Regarding DC, yes there has been some zerging lately ; which is probably due to off prime time population dominance. Don’t worry, winds will change and some day EP and AD will be the ones zerging. It happens.

Have fun, kick ass. The community isn’t the problem - we are the community.

Yea, I came during summer 2015 aswell. The good old days!

On the topic of getting things better, Outlaw has started Scrub Squad recently. It's a non vet guild meant to help out new the players. Extremely well organized and supportive. The good thing about it, unlike PUGz or AC, is that it's on DC/EP (eventually AD too). Having 1-2 guild helping new players and organizing the faction is great, but it creates unbalances and discourage the other disorganized factions to play the campaign, and thus makes for a very one sided and boring camp.

We spoke. Perhaps you misunderstood what was said. Was letting you know we only had a few on, giving you the benefit of the doubt that you all didn’t know that... don’t want your empathy and didn't ask you for anything.

I will refrain from talking to you in game from now on if when I do it will be misconstrued to fit some totally absurd and made-up narrative. First Gabe did this a few posts above acting as if I have an open dialogue with him (I do not, he messaged me out of no where saying EP needed to attack AD and not DC) and now you are doing it (albeit very passive aggressive) when we have only spoken once with friendly tone.

Me saying we discourage zerging behaviour (overwhelming odds/mindless play/vastly outnumbering) was not laden with hidden meaning for you to read some utter nonsense into it. Large battles with big groups is loads of fun for all parties and it’s laughable to suggest we would “chase off people who want to run in large groups” when we consistently bring large fights to DC when we have people on.

I don't think it's whining as much as a fact of how kyne has been lately.

Play another faction and you will see it. You'll see why ep has 4 ppl on or when ad has less.

When ep players repeatedly try to take an objective, same as AD, they get rolled by a large force.

They try different tactics but are outnumbered most of the time. So, the lead, if there is one, logs off because they can't accomplish anything.

I seem to recall some of you DC running away to sotha and other servers when IOTE ran the map.

Plenty of you left, plenty of you whined. Just go back a few pages and you'll find it.

So, don't be a hypocrite when a lot of you complained for a whole summer about being gate camped or tri keep camped.

And as far as things swinging back in the favor of another faction, idk. Ep has been dead for a long time.
