The event hasn't started well for me. I'm playing the map and logging into the alliance that controls most the flags.
Yesterday I played on EP with a level 12 mag NB with no skills but cloaking. I was doing fine until some NB had a detection potion then ganked me for 5k stones. I think my biggest gank was something like 12 stones.
I wish one day I would hit the jackpot.

Of course as soon as I retaliate they just roll/Cloak away. Stealth and Cloak are such garbage in this game.

✭✭I don't feel sorry for nightblades. They have a fear that you can't break free from. They have a gapcloser that can literally go in every angle and almost through walls, and I can spam detection skills literally on top of a NB, and he still can go stealth. All it takes is one random AOE. I don't even know how you fail to break cloak. That skill almost breaks itself lol.PC|EU2 -

LordSarevok✭✭✭✭I don't get mad at Nightblades trying to gank. I agree with the other person above though. They can insta cloak and get away if they fail, there needs to be a stiffer penalty for failure. And there is definitely something wrong with cloak. I can use scorching flare (says they can't return to stealth for 3 seconds) and they go back invis instantly.1 -

No it's definitely not. There are more than a million ways to detect NBs, if you still fail it's 10/10 l2p issue.
Lol have you even tried it? Dodge roll and LOS makes it a cakewalk to escape. The ONLY hard counter is Piercing Mark and it's semi-rare that anyone tags you with it.0 -

Dodge roll is nothing special to NB. Anyone in this game can dodge around like monkeys. Even with heavy armor.
Invisibility is whole another thing. I got videos of myself getting chained, speared into hell, taking DK flight while in cloak, not even after getting detected by anything. And if you are not in the middle of nowhere, where someone can run one million miles straight, then all it takes to detect is a darn aoe. If it's a slowing one -like most of the aoe in this game rn- then that nb is just rip lol. I've been playing NB since release and i only pvp on it. I got other classes as well, DK, templar and sorcerer so i'm not biased or something. I'm just here telling you that i have been playing NB for more than 4 years and cloak is just a terrible joke. If anything, only works if you are miles away from enemies.PC|EU0 -

✭✭✭✭✭the most stones I've stole has been about 12 to 13k...
it was from someone on my own alliance...saw them twice soloing district bosses...
they most definitely didn't need my help, but, who can resist a boss fight...
actually died once during each fight...on my magblade and I have some trouble sustaining during long fights...
for those folks out there that can solo those district bosses and sewer banner bosses - wow
just running the risk of enemy groups noticing the fight and then zerging you down...pretty brave stuff...
in the districts I stay in stealth and use my blade of woe all the time...do what I can to end fights quickly...I want to try to make sure I see others before they see me...

✭✭✭✭For some reason I decided a PVP event and the busiest server was the perfect time to PVE in IC and collect skyshards on my nightblade. I actually had a lot of fun playing cat and mouse, either getting away with spied or watching people run from me. Got zerged down once; killed a ganker camping one of the skyshards.
Was a fun change of pace.2 -
