Shields allow full heals through them, have no counterplay execept to run ppl outta mag or if they’re stupid get a lucky burst with shields down, go over your health bar, somehow are affected by damage reduction from cp, mist, etc even tho you aren’t even taking damage, drop resist lays waste to pen builds and uncrittable lays waste to damage builds. Plus everything is ranged.

You remember me, like 3 years ago, when I also came to the forums "nerf sorcs!"... well, somebody told me that the best way to deal with sorcs was to learn to play as a sorc. After some weeks debating, I decided to follow the advice, and I learnt to play as a sorc. After that it was quite easier to kill them.

If you can't deal with shield stacking without Shield Breaker, then you should try a Sorc to see what are they weak points and how you can exploit them. In simple, big burst hurts them a lot, same as DoTs. They easily burn their magicka spamming shields and healing, and when doing that, they're not doing dmg.

So, it is a L2P issue...

Disagree with big bursts. Shields actually recover from big burst better than healing and a good sorc is going to shield stack prior to an opponent lining up their big burst (hint to all non-sorcs: the good ones don't always shield stack every time they bar swap. Most overlap their shields. Similar but different). Big pressure is more accurate.

Don't confuse the full divines nightblades. They are going to Snipe>ambush>incap with 6k weapon damage and no mitigation/sustain and wonder why the sorc didn't instantly drop. Then they switch classes to forum blades. There are far to many forum blades and far to few good forum blades, don't need more.

This is so funny. I can count on my hand the number of times I actually got any healing from healing ward when fighting a competent dps. 45k mag and 75 points in to bastion on my sorc and his shields melt like butter. If you can't kill a sorc your build doesn't have enough pressure end of story. You do realize that at some point in our rotation that our shields are down right or a cc away from being down? and the only thing protecting us is a measly 9k resistance and impen? Hell we might as well be naked if it weren't for all the magicka we'd lose.
    Zaghigoth- Orc Stamplar
    Soul Razor- Altmer Magsorc
    Les Drago- Redguard Stamdk
    Eirius- Altmer Magdk
    Stormifeth- Altmer Magplar

Disclaimer: My comments are a little sarcasm mixed with truth. If you can't handle that don't respond to me.

L2P issue. Shields have never been the reason sorcs survive your burst. Shield stacking is a death sentence and combined with a good cc..dead sorc. A good sorc is hard to beat because it comes down to casting the right ability at the right time and paying attention to your opponent and that holds true for any good nb...dk..Templar...you perceive the sheild but fail to perceive what else he has casted to deny your kill or what he enchanted his weapon with..or items sets he equipped. Know your enemy and know your class. Then I feel the opinion will change with better knowledge. ZOS can not nerf enough skills to make you a better player. That comes with time and experience..also known as practice. PvP is tough every good player has died more times than he has gotten kills. Don’t be fooled by youtube op never die 1vX videos. Remember there is a person behind that character...it’s about wit and properly timed attacks. Not nerfing classes because you post that you can’t kill someone due to a certain ability...then call it balance. Everyone wanted maelstrom nerfed and still do, but once the mechanics made since it’s a walk in the park.

I just want to see what PVP would look like if they were to do something like— increase the damage dealt through shields by shield breaker to 10000 oblivion damage from 2000 oblivion damage. X)— Since you can destroy my healing with defile and dots AND half your toolkit goes through my one defense: roll. It’s only fair. (Stam builds people). This may or may not be a troll post.

Nobody would play a Sorc and instead a stam toon like the majority already does.

If you can't kill a sorc in 2018 its a learn to play issue sorcs can be very easy and predictable to kill if you know what to look for.

most people that make legit nerf sorc threads (not to include this thread is a joke and OP is a troll) just want to mash buttons or spam 1 or 2 attacks and then they get mad that this won't kill a sorc and they actually have to watch what there opponent is doing think and counter them.
Xbox One - NA GT: RebornV3x
I also play on PC from time to time but I just wanna be left alone on there so sorry.

Hi, gonna ask here since i dint get a response a while back.

Whats the deal with the neverending nerf sorc shield op crap? every time I enter here its the same.

What is so hard for the devs to fix that after years we still have this discussion?

Just get ride of the damm oblivion and shield damage shenanigans and balance the damm damage/time/cost so that shields can compete with roll dodge and block as a serious defensive tool and thats it.

Magika user deserve the same tools a Stamina user has, with diferent flavors sure, no more no less.

I really really dont know what could possibily take so long to reach a balanced point in this particular issue, so people here can stop posting about the same thing every time.

this takes me to the time when Blizzard take freaking years to balance the damm paladin invinsible bubble on WOW (they nerfed it to the ground at one point).
