Why I repaid my ESO+ subscription..... how about you?

Because no matter how angry and frustrated I get (especially now without HDR), I still believe my funding is going to a better game.

Where we are today is not where we were when the game launched.

Here's another $15 to see where the game will be in another 4 years.

    Oh, and craft bag.

I sub because despite the belief of those with memories the size of a goldfish, seems to me zos is listening to the community. Removed aoe caps, 2 pc sets for staves, the beginnings of group queue improvements, increased subscriber benefits, daily rewards that seem to take feedback into consideration, symbiotic relationship between streaming community and rewards for being active in the community outside the game, more events like farming outfit styles and that's just what came to mind in the past two minutes.

No, zos can't change everything in one patch. But the changes were seeing are good ones overall.

Zos has listened and has changed.

I’ve only been here two years so what do I know? It is worth the price to me.

I still have constructive criticism now and then, and that doesn’t negate my love for this game. You can make critiques on things you like and want to see improved. Subscribers are not all “yes men”.

I find it highly irritating trying to play without the crafting bag and added bank space. Takes up way too much of my playtime micromanaging every single day for at least an hour or two before I can dive into the content I'm interested in.

Honestly, if I was Zos I'd restrict forum access to subbers, at least then they'd know the folks who are complaining are actually supporting them and be more likely to take more of the complaints seriously. I wouldn't give a *** about complaints coming from non-subbers quite frankly.

I'm buying every single DLC, am I not supporting them now and shouId be excluded from that forums?

If anything, they should add the benefits of the subs to the people who bought all including the latest DLC until the next one is released.

Scuse me but I paid for 4 subbed accounts (whole family) for 4 years, since launch and stopped subbing this January for... reasons. Guess all that means nothing eh? That's like saying, they shouldn't listen to anyone that wasn't here for sub required access. Some of us have put more money into this game then they would like to admit but god forbid life happens right? You think you are better than everyone else bc of $15 a month? Yes, because an echo-chamber full of yes-men is always the very best way to improve a product so that customers like it, right?

Not giving a damn about complaints from non-subbers is a sure fire way of NEVER being able to convert any of them into paying customers.

The two things you suggest are some of the very worst business practices possible.

PS: I've been constantly subbed for almost 18 months, even though for almost half of that time I didn't even have the game installed.

    All The Best

The logic behind is simple: Non-subbers are cheap non-supportive scum, even those who buy crowns.

Well, I just dropped my sub, because there's no real point in supporting the game anymore.

I can deal with the inventory issues, but ZOS is just not worth investing in.

I can live without the extra space for now. They get nothing from me until this HDR issue is resolved. Which doesn't seem like a priority to them. And there are some really nice looking games coming out this fall. Hell, I may just take a few months break.

    Bye

Use your crowns to purchase items from the crown store and gift to other players for in game gold. Get anywhere between 150-300 gold per crown.
It’s open to abuse and scamming ofc but so far it’s been fine for me and I’m sticking mainly to trade guild and there’s discord’s up and running for people advertising to buy/sell as well but I’m more wary of people I don’t know at all.

Half a nespresso. Sounds petty, I know. But the nespresso works every day. It has no bugs and the machine is not offline for 8 hours during prime time.

i confess to not knowing what a nespresso is but i'm guessing it is coffee related. i go to a local cafe for coffee every morning. it's £2.40 for a regular americano.

I'll just stick with my half-caf soy latte, tyvm

and what does that cost relative to the daily eso+ cost?

The inventory mini game was an huge reason for me quitting after a year.
Felt I spent more time shuffling items than playing.
With ESO+ its no issue at all.

Same, though at the time I was subbing and the craftbag hadn't been added yet. I quit and started looking for something better on console. Didn't find anything but when I came back they had added it. Changed everything for me.

It’s not hard . Like at all. If you’re having issues managing that’s on you . Rest assure , we non subs don’t spend an hour or two of our days trying to manage .

    Irritating does not equal hard.

I think the craft bag is one of the cleverest incentive to paying a sub i've seen in online games.
Much better than too many "free" to play games where if you don't pay, you get blocked in so many ways it ruins the game... whereas here, it's such a nice comfortable thing, without feeling like someone is twisting your arm to force you to pay to enjoy the game.
Nice and subtle ! And it worked for me, played without sub for like 3 months, then they had one of their free eso+ week ... and i could never come back.

Then free access to all DLC and free crown only sweetens the deal.

I have been subbed or unsubbed based on how happy I have been with the game. I unsubbed for a year because of the crap they (one specific they) pulled with combat and balance in Morrowind.

Since they have hired two new folks in this area recently I am subbed now. I have always been pretty happy with the quest content and with how generally well they have handled the crown store (never gone pay to win.) I have also had a few good interactions with the customer support staff over the years that involved actual people.

I am cautiously optimistic at the moment about the direction of balance and I think the current horrible stability is teething pains around the switch to better multicore and only 64bit clients. Boy I hope that improves soon.

I am currently worried for the future of ESO. Population seems like it is in free fall and the cancellation of the North America in-person gathering feels very much like pulling the plug. Kudos on fixing the in-game economy though. Clearly whatever gold shenanigans were happening the last couple years are fixed.
