What's the siege cap? I would try to hit the siege cap.

My own reaction: As many said going on a wall or door is np for me. I enjoy if I can just stand in the ram and watch the door tic down without lifting a finger. However... like also many other mentioned, sometimes I wish I could force people out of my weapons, when they are used wrong or just stolen for the sake of stealing... There are those cheap people that only use other peoples weapons... I guess golden vendor makes the greed bigger. And the so called 'help excuse' is ridicules, if i place 4 trebs it's because I use 4 trebs, so if they really wanna help, place more, that's helpful!!

Years have passed, I can't believe we still are not able to kick siege weapon thieves from our own sieges... Why? If it's to hard to implement or causes some problems make it toggle in game settings "do you allow to use your sieges to other players or not" (by default allow). Maybe it's not game breaking but it's extremely frustrating when you put out that cold harbour ballista to shoot those nice 3 enemy's ballistas but suddenly some rank 4, 50 CP freshman steals it and starts to shoot to that single templar runing half mile away...
Just let them use the stupid siege weapon! YOU weren't doing anything with it, so who cares?
Also, PLEASE I am *sure* your scenario is happening just constantly. (Or not.)
*facepalm*
When I put down 2-3 ballistas, I’m using all of them. You fire one, then the next one, then the next one, and repeat. It’s the most efficient way to siege, as you don’t have to wait there twiddling your thumbs while the cooldown expires — way more efficient than when some greenie hops on one of your siege and fails to fire it as soon as the cooldown expires. Also, I know when to start packing up my siege based on wall percentage; I can’t effing pack up my siege when the greenie is on it plinging away at a wall that’s at 3%. I usually end up having to leave that ballista behind to stick with my group, which is just a waste of AP.
In order to mitigate the effects of siege thieves, I often end up carrying more siege than I need to, which is just a waste of free inventory space. I shouldn’t have to do that. I understand why the option to use other people’s siege weapons exists; without it, spies/trolls could set up max siege and prevent anyone else from laying down siege weapons. People just need to be more considerate and buy their own siege.

It isn't efficient to place so many siege weapon around and just expect to use them all for yourself. It is limited space where to place siege weapon, so virtually taking all possible AP for yourself when there could be other players around to do the same job sounds more like you just don't care that other also should get a space to put up their sieges.

But you know what.
We capture the keep.
YOU don't capture anything, your'e just a pointless waste of a spot in your faction.
The simple answer is that people need to stop being entitled little A-Holes, spend the 10 seconds it takes to find a siege merchant and buy some sieges of their own.
Hell, if I got out of my car to pay for petrol does that entitle someone else to just get in my car and drive off?
This is why we can't have nice things. If it aint yours, keep your hands off it.

Won't be very effective at griefing unless you carry a ton of siege on you.
Drop 20 siege sometimes and watch how fast they fall apart. When your not on them they degrade faster.
If you could block usage of your siege or if you could kick other players from it then traitors from other factions would make great use of that mechanic.
Want to take a keep? Switch factions to the one that owns that keep, drop a bunch of siege and, block/kick anyone from using that siege to defend. Profit.

Yeah, after they have sat on my cold-fire siege weapon for too long and it is destroyed. Or do you mean after they used the siege ineffectively and we are overrun and then the siege is destroyed because they are still sitting in it and it cannot be picked up?

Well, the option is to tell them and it then probably won't happen again, or to not tell them assume they're jerks, seethe about it on here, then watch it happen again.
Just saying, the person who is doing it may not realise they shouldn't be doing it. So tell them. Nicely.
