For the advanced player:
If someone needs the quest and they say so, give them the 5 seconds to talk to the NPC. If someone needs gear, don't run ahead and start soloing the boss so they can't get through the door or get their loot. If someone says it's their first time in the dungeon or they don't understand mechanics, take five seconds to type a few brief directions so they know what to do on their next run. If you see someone hard-casting crystal frags with a bow, take five seconds to ask them nicely if they want help with their build so they do more damage. If you don't have time to do any of these things, you should not be PUGing. Form your own group.

I was doing my 10 minute zombie grind in Coldharbor and had someone get angry that my max level character was "in a level 30 zone" and "ruining the xp" for their two person group. I finished the 400k inspiration grind quickly then let them know:
1) Everything scales and there are no area levels
2) No one owns any area of an MMO
3) The change in xp for a third isn't "ruining" Xp. Slows it down but not like having 7 people there.
A lot of people apparently have no idea how the game works. I am polite, but if they unleash a constant stream of attacks, I point out all the fallacies in their arguement.
I've literally had groups whine because I ran ahead and killed everything. If I can kill all the adds before you catch up that's your problem not mine.

if you're wanting to take in the whole story and be immersed, the Dungeon Finder is probably not the way to go. People of all levels, even the fellow lowbie's that have done the quest once are going to be less inclined to wait for each dialogue option to be perused.3 PUGS out of 4, despite clearly saying and showing that I am doing the quest (and by "doing" I don't mean listening to the whole convo for 2 minutes but clicking the choices in 2 seconds... so in the end I don't even have a clue what the hell is going on except we are here to kill something), you still have those high levels speed running through it and not even giving you time to talk to the NPC (by the way most of the time you can't even talk to them right away as you have to wait for them to arrive/do something/talk to another NPC).

If you're wanting to hear the story or check containers, a premade four-man with similar goals is a better way to go.

Yeah, because it's a group dungeon, and shockingly, your group might like to participate at a slower pace.
As a stam DD, I dislike using my fighting resource to sprint to keep up with party members who rush ahead.
As a healer or tank, I don't rush, period. I'm going to stay with the bulk of the group and I'm definitely going to stick with the person doing the quest. You aggro it, you can tank it until I get there.
Which is why I recommend using a premade.Merlin13KAGL wrote: »if you're wanting to take in the whole story and be immersed, the Dungeon Finder is probably not the way to go. I never said that I wanted to hear the whole story. I said that even going through the dialogue in 2 seconds most people are still impatient because most of the time you can't even talk to the NPC right ahead and you have to wait that they can be interacted with.
