If you enjoy the game, do it. And if you plan on crafting, it's a must have because of the crafting bag.

I've been subbed since I started playing over three years ago, I wouldn't play without it! Access to all DLC's, craft bag, extra bank space, free costume dyeing, etc.

I bought this game on steam. It was £7.50 with Morrowind included. Bargain, ridiculous price even, especially considering that was all I was obliged to pay, forever.

I played it to death for a couple of weeks and then bought Summerset and a six month ESO+ subscription. It's a beautiful game, fun to play, relaxing and totally immersive. The amount of effort that must have gone into creating something of this size and complexity deserves to be paid for IMO. Sure it has it's bugs and peculiarities, but it's definitely worth the £6/7 a month to play that they ask for. They even give you a good chunk of that back in Crowns too.

And, again IMO, the sub is worth it just for the craft bag.

ESO+ isn't about making the game better for yourself. It's about making the game better overall. The value of the game is subjective, but if you truly enjoy the game, then $15/mo is a small price to pay to ensure future development.

The benefits are outlined on the page, but one thing to consider is the recent update (which will come to consoles at some point) also increased the Crown allotment, meaning we're now getting more than 1500 Crowns back.

The Craft Bag is probably the most versatile, and appreciated, benefit of the subscription. All those mats are automatically stored and there's no limit, freeing up your personal and bank inventory to collect the real stuff. New players should consider this option to help out while they get better, but it's not required (just frustrating, especially now with furniture items in the game).

It's no secret ZoS pushes people toward the sub, but it bears repeating this value is subjective to each person.

I pay the sub because, as much as this game pisses me off at times, I wouldn't be here if I didn't like it.

My Opinion is, if you play this game for multiple Hours dailly, and have a Opinion about stuff that is plain wrong, you should sub, apart from the perks we get. And dont tell me you dont have Money, i have under 200 Euro to life on a Month, if i would pay for 1 single player game a month, i would get far less Value for Money and i find it should go back to sub only

I use ESO plus mostly for convenience, even if I usually play less than around 5-10 per week max. Because when I actually do play, I don't wanna waste my time with too much inventory management, which becomes a huge time sink without craft bag.

Eso plus + pocket banker + pocket merchant. Saves me a lot of time, so I can actually enjoy playing instead of fiddling around in the inventory.

Hmm...just buy 3 months...try it out...do your speed leveling...decide if it’s worth it to you.
I was on/off plus multiple times... I’d grab it just to restock everything into a craftbag...there’s a couple times a year that ESO+ is free which also helps with cleaning up inventory

Ive played for 2 years without ESO+.
And recently subbed for the craft bag and extra housing space. I feel like as a whole, ESO+ is definitely worth the money. It’s just convenience, really so you don’t have to do much inventory management, which can get difficult when your bank is full and you have nowhere to deposit stuff you may need later on.
All that, and you get access to DLCs and crowns every month.
    I say worth it.

Yeah, this. I'm managing fine without it, but I've got a bunch of alts with large packs, a big bank, and plenty of housing storage chests. (Also, I'm not binge-playing, like a brand new player would be likely to.)

It makes it necessary, but it's a contrivance to make people pay. I don't feel it's giving me added value, simply paying extra for something that should be there anyway.

Crowns and crates and other freebies are arguably stuff you wouldn't have otherwise, but as someone who would be more happy with an SP ESO (and nobody say "lol go and play Skyrim lol btw lol", I found it quite underwhelming) I'm not enthralled with it. I put up with it because I have nothing better to do at present but I don't feel like it's doing me any favours. I'd rather just pay full price for the add-ons I wanted and be done with it but foolishness like the crafting bag and hobbled storage makes it a bit too hard to do that.

I only play one game at a time and tend to do so every day for years at a time before moving on. So it was an easy choice for me once ESO passed my initial 'checking it out' and I decided to make it the new home for my elf. I would think the choice would not be easy if you bounce among games and don't really spend a lot of time playing ESO.

As so many others have said, the craftibag is very nice. My next fave perk is dying costumes, but the whole package of perks is pretty good.

On a down note, I couldn't give a crap about DLC that offer only groupie dungeons so getting those free is of no value to me. Adding insult to injury, I do not enjoy paying extra for DownLoadable Content that is profit-labeled as 'Chapters'. I like and respect Zenimax but I confess I lost some of my respect for them when they introduced the concept of charging ESO+ customers for 'Chapters'.

You won’t get a representative sample from the forums if that’s what you are aiming for. Generally, a forum is going to have a disproportionate number of dedicated players, and we play the game enough that ESO+ is worth the investment. If you don’t play a lot, maybe not so much worth it. Heck, you can get by without it even if you do play a lot (been there, done that).

    Exactly.
If you would make an in-game poll of non forum members about ESO Plus, the results will be totally different, maybe like 5%-10% are ESO Plus members.

ESO+ to me is the only way to go, the perks are great, but overall supporting the game is why I do it. Any game I play I support, like LOTRO, when I play it I sub, same with SWTOR. Developers don't make these games for just prestige it's all about supporting the developers of the said game and paying their wages.

Unless your a whale and can afford to throw an endless stream of cash at the game, it's the cheaper way to go and smarter.

It's already been said, but if you are playing regularly and leveling characters and farming mats, then you need a subscription. If you are an old battle hound with a lot of resources already at your disposal you can get by without it.

Also if you like to buy stuff in the crown store, just sub. It's basically a free bonus for crowns you were going to buy anyway.

I keep my ESO plus member sub mainly for the crafting bag.
I consider it essential since I have many characters on which I craft and farm.
The other sub perks are also nice, but are less relevant to me.

Another vote for plus even if you only spend a few hours a week in game.

Probably the only downside I hear of is those who complain that while they have plus active they get dumped into DLC dungeons when picking randoms when they would prefer not to, apart from that, its fine.

I sub on occasion, not more than 2/3 times a year. It helps sweep out the banks, and was a big help in jewelry mat storage.

The free ones tend to fall luckily when I sub, so free crates are nice. Without plus in the past, I made much more use of mules, which wasted time.

ESO+ is a must once you overrun your bank slots but the other thing to consider is the Crowns. When Murkmire comes out the amount is suppose to increase for each month subbed but even now you get 1500 Crowns a month.

Also, If you do 3 or 6 month subs you get them in a lump sum which makes it easier to by bigger items. If you want to use crowns then it should be a no brainer as it is almost a break even on price.
