If I'm playing a lot then I sub and if I'm only playing the occasional weekend then I don't. I like the payment model, I can still do almost everything without a sub but the extra convenience ESO+ brings is worth the money if I'm putting the hours in.

I view ESO+ as providing worthwhile perks whereas in another MMO I play the sub model removes frustrating restrictions. So with ESO I never really take a break from the game I just dial back the hours from time to time, but the other game I do take extended breaks where I don't even log in.

While I am still old school and I HATE paying for a game to keep playing after BUYING it, I did quit ESO after the first "free" month. We were not really getting anything that I can remember for playing the game.

Now I pay for it. ESO has gotten better, A LOT BETTER and now I pay for it because of the craft bag. Now I don't see it as a "keep paying for a game I bought" but I see it now as a way to enjoy a game MORE for a game I bought. For the amount of time I am playing now, the 50 a day seems so worth it and adds so much more enjoyment of the game.

So I don't see it as $23.00 a month (taxes included) but as 50 cents a day for double bank space, craft bag and not having to pay for DLC and the extra crowns.

BE WARE. DO NOT BUY MORE THAN ONE MONTH SUB right now. If you do, you might not get the EXTRA crowns. Right now we get 1500 crowns a month. That will be going up to 1750 a month. Thing is people like me who got the 6 month sub, we don't know if we get a top up or we have to wait to till it expires to get the extra crowns.

ESO+ to me is the only way to go, the perks are great, but overall supporting the game is why I do it. Any game I play I support, like LOTRO, when I play it I sub, same with SWTOR. Developers don't make these games for just prestige it's all about supporting the developers of the said game and paying their wages.

Unless your a whale and can afford to throw an endless stream of cash at the game, it's the cheaper way to go and smarter.

Are we really supporting the developers? Doesn't most of the money go to the publishers? While in ESO case they are the same company. Maybe different names but in the end same company. Not sure if it for LotRO or SWTOR.

Just like when we buy a game from Bethesda, they are developer, but the money goes to Bethesda Publishing which goes to Zenimax.

Depends. I am occassionally buying ESO+
If you can manage your inventory well through emails, bank, mules and storage chests then the increased bank space and craft bag don't matter all that much.
In my opinion buying ESO+ every now and then gets you most of the permanent benefits anyway, such as costume dyeing and increased furniture limit. Your craft materials will also be transported to your craft bag and will stay there unless withdrawn, which means that after your subscription runs out you won't immediately have 6 stacks of ancestor silk but only as much as you manage to find until the next time you buy ESO+.

Here is a selection of questions I ask myself when considering to buy ESO+
    • Do I need 1500 crowns?
    • Do I have any new costumes that I want to dye?
    • Are there any DLCs I haven't bought but would like to try?
    • Are my inbox, inventory and bank getting filled with crafting materials?
    • Do I have enough furniture collected to improve any of my homes considerably beyond the cap?
    • Has ZOS done something recently to deserve more of my money?
If the answer is yes to at least two of them, I buy ESO+.

This Bosmer was tortured to death. There is nothing left to be done.

Provided you can afford it, what's not to like about ESO Plus?

The cost is more than outweighed by the value of the free crowns, and is in itself pretty low by MMO standards if you subscribe for say 6 months. You don't even need to spend the crowns on the DLCs as you get them anyway. As for the additional bank slots and crafting bag, while we managed initially without them they've become increasingly invaluable with each new content release. Plus you're providing fixed, regular support to a game you presumably enjoy playing or the question wouldn't arise.

It seems pretty straightforward to me, but on the other hand plenty of people seem to have grown up these days believing they have an entitlement to everything for nothing and don't see why they should pay for their entertainment, although I haven't yet come across anyone who's convinced their local cinema manager of the wisdom of their view. If, on the other hand, they're willing to pay in other ways such as buying DLCs with Crowns I haven't yet seen how that makes much sense overall compared with subscribing - again, provided they can afford it.

I sub to show support for a friend, but once that crafting bag hit it was immediately obvious that I could not return to previous play styles. ESO play sessions take enough time as it is if you want to progress, having to spend an extra 15-30 minutes each time moving stuff around in bags and bank and avoiding picking up mats and loot for space reasons would just make me nope away.

If I stop Plus (unbroken sub since launch) it will be because I simply can't afford it any more and/or I'm quitting the game. Or maybe if there is a way to one-time purchase the craft bag for permanent use. I won't play without it.

Not getting eso+ until game servers/major glitches are fixed and actual new content is released (not the recycled garbage thats spoon feed every dlc). Getting eso+ is rewarding a bad dog for bad behavior, if you are paying for eso+ you're apart of the problem

That's your opinion of the game and you're perfectly entitled to it. However, others will hold different views and they are equally entitled to those. Personally I have no game server issues or major glitches, and I enjoy the new content which I find far from being recycled garbage. On that basis I reward the company accordingly by contributing to the game's revenue. Why someone holding your views of the company and its game is even playing it is unclear to me, but have you considered that those people who so despise the company and its game yet continue to play it and post about it may actually be the ones who are "a part of the problem"? Perhaps if more people who so dislike ESO walked away from it ZOS would get the message.

    ESO+ is a great option.

But, I personally let mine run out after the Morrowind chapter. I don't spend many crowns and felt most of the content was bloated with long grinds, I also don't do much with the housing and have more than enough champion points.

Most of all I find putting up with the constant introduction of bugs and glitches, the long standing bugs and glitches and the returning bugs and glitches too frustrating for me to put as much time into the game as I once did. The money saved goes toward games that I enjoy as much as I used to enjoy ESO.

I bought the Summerset Chapter and was going to get a 3 month ESO+ but after spending an afternoon getting kicked to login, using wayshrines to collect my build up of writ surveys, I realised the game was still fundamentally flawed for myself and many players.

Yes, you are supporting the devs that code and make this game, the storytellers that bring ESO alive. Each dev has a contract with ZeniMax, who has contracted with Bethesda. So you are saying the dev that is creating the great graphics and story aren't getting paid? You make it sound like Bethesda gets all the cash and pays the devs pennies. Now am not sure what developers are paid, yet am pretty sure they get 6 figures.

This made no sense to me. But we all have opinions I guess.
