You won’t get a representative sample from the forums if that’s what you are aiming for. Generally, a forum is going to have a disproportionate number of dedicated players, and we play the game enough that ESO+ is worth the investment. If you don’t play a lot, maybe not so much worth it. Heck, you can get by without it even if you do play a lot (been there, done that).

My opinion is if you play more than two hours a month ESO+ is a bargain compared to the cost of other forms of entertainment.

    This.

However, even if you could this is a choice up to each individual.

Personally I could not see playing this game without the crafting bag. I like not having to manage my matts like I used to. Double bank space is nice but again, crafting bag is king (or queen).

It's definitely a nice to have. The crafting bag alone will save you a lot of inventory and storage management. In fact a lot of people get ESO+ just for that reason.

Is it essential? No. But it will make life easier.

I haven't bought ESO+ since crown crates have been released. You can live without it. If you are a hoarder, as many of us are, I suggest having a second account if you choose not to get ESO+ for extra storage.

Having said that. If you enjoy the game and want quite a bit better quality of life while playing it, get ESO+. If you are into housing, it gives you 2x the amount of items your houses can hold over non subs. Your bank space is also doubled. And the crafting bag is like gods gift to ESO. You will need to visit the bank and merchants less often giving you more time to actually play while you are playing.

I agree, but I think Glurin is underselling just HOW much easier ESO life in general is with ESO +. You *can* play without it, and I did for the first year or however long it was before the crafting bag was implemented...but the crafting bag is a TITANIC ease-of-life addition - titanic as in size/impact/power, not titanic the disaster. The always-free access to dlc is nice, the doubled bank space is really handy, the xp buff I don't really notice much but it's nice, but the crafting bag - the all-mighty crafting bag is a TOTAL GAMECHANGER.

That's not a warning or an endorsement - just trying to give you a more accurate appraisal of how much of an effect ESO + might actually have if you pick it up. It'll be very hard to let go of...

Also, the forums are pretty entertaining as well.

But, if you're asking, "should I?" Then, my answer would be yes. Or at least, if you're thinking about buying a 1500 crown pack, sub instead, you'll get the crowns, and other goodies.

Crafting bag + crowns equal to the monthly sub. What's not to like?

I've always subbed to every MMO I've played. Once I get through September, I'll be doing at least a 6 month sub, or a year if it's available.

Craft bag and double bank slots. Couldn’t play without it myself. If a person cares not for crafting or collecting different set or what ever then I could see not needing it.

I’m used to subbing for mmos. Usually they have less quality if they are free to play in my experience. I’ve considered dropping my sub for real life issues but so far, I always seem to have a spare $77 every 6 months so might as well continue to buy something I enjoy. I consider video games like interactive movies and if I went and watched movies as much as I play I’d be spending more than $77 twice a year.

It's an understatement to say it makes playing so much more convenient, especially if you are a hoarder/ crafter. I used to spend way too much time organizing my mules, shuffling gear between the various ones and it was so time consuming and irritating I almost quit. Craftbag changed all that.

The other perks are nice, but the craftbag makes it worthwhile for me.

No kidding. Anything else you do for entertainment costs the earth these days.... We used to buy season tickets to games for teams we loved. Well.... when you retire, and you have to think about "don't have as much money as we did, something's got to go" - for us the season tickets to the Dodgers games (plus the round-trip drive from where we live to Chavez Ravine), ditto the Rox and the drive to Coors Field.... eh, I can pay years of subs to this game for all that.

Now, admittedly, husband doesn't play games. In fact, husband doesn't do computers, the 'net, etc. He has me for that.... but I suppose that he can be forgiven his lack of tech perspicacity since he's 84. He used to hunt (so did I), and we used to have horses - but as we got older (and so did the horses) things got.... pared down - the story about the last old horse hasn't anything to do with the current state of affairs of course.

Now, husband's down to watching games on tv - and handing me the remote when he pushes the wrong button (because even though I have zero use for tv.... well.... I'm the techie in the house, ain't?)

I'm considerably younger than he is - and games are my hobby, so he isn't carping at me over it. A good thing - because if he did, he wouldn't like the fallout....

I have recently returned to the game from VR era and my inventory management was a huge mess. After I decided to give it a shot for the bank space and crafting bag, I realized from day one that I wanted to have these perks. Not only are you paid back the back subscription money in showing loyalty with crowns, you are offered a set of perks that make the quality of life pretty decent. I'd say ESO+ is not only a smart move, but if it's a game you love and like the perks ESO+ offers, why not?

ESO+ pays for itself in crowns which you can then use to purchase the DLCs and other goodies. If you plan on playing more than once a week, the extra inventory space is a grand boon. It's fantastic!!!

It’s necessary if you do serious farming and want to dye costumes but it’s a real slime ball move by ZOS to make it nearly impossible to play without it. If you can manage to play without it I’d recommend that, ZOS doesn’t deserve Plus sub money

No matter how much I express my disagreement with lot of things we have in ESO, I think if you plan to play ESO seriously you need ESO+.

Benefits of having it are too good to pass, imho.

Craft bag is great QoL, double bank space is very nice.
10% XP bonus seems ok for new players.
PPl that like to decorate houses have double decoration space.
Access to DLCs is not bad, you can see what you like and maybe buy it later, if you decide to stop being ESO+ subscriber.

Let ESO+ drop off for a week & couldn't play the game  200 items over the limit in the bank, couldn't do anything in house, inventory was full on all characters.

Think of it this way, ESO+ is the same price as 1500 crowns. During that month of ESO+ you get 1500 crowns, craft bag, double space, all DLC's (excluding chapters e.g. Summerset) & a couple other things. Everything listed after the 1500 crowns is essentially free.

The alternative is having 2-3 accounts with a couple mule characters on each account. Swapping accounts to get crafting mats sounds like more hassle than it's worth imo.
