ESO players only had to watch the video without muting it and link their accounts.

I'm looking at their extension on Twitch right now and don't see a poll, which resulted in my question.

    They recognize a mute?

That's my question as well. I'm deaf so it makes no difference to me. I just don't feel like putting in my hearing aids. There are no subtitles like the other cons so I just am staring at people moving their lips and game scenery.

I'm far away from deaf, but I have muted the video for like 10 mins. Would be a shame if that would mess it up.

Agreed honestly. I watched the part I was interested the ESO part. I don't really care for the other games too much :/

I'm pretty sure I read during there last twitch give away that muting the show disqualifies the drops. That might not be the case this time. You always could put the volume really really low.

There was a statement that the drops could take a few days. So they will not immediately get delivered.

If this is true then all watchers should mute the browser instead of the stream. No way they will know this.

I just searched around. According to Twitch report, if users press "Mute" on Chrome, it drops the "viewer" count due to how Chrme process HTML5.

Never heard of having it muted being an issue.

I hope it's not because I had it muted briefly during the doom part while I tabbed out and then unmuted it when I was watching it again.

"To link your ESO account to Twitch, follow the instructions in this help article. Note that you are only able to link PC/Mac game accounts. The Ouroboros Crown Crates and Flame Atronach Wolf pet will be delivered to your ESO account by Friday, August 17."

    We'll find out on the 17th :)

That mute claim sounds like bs to me. Where do you guys pull this crap from. Post a link to a video or statement in which they made that claim otherwise stop spreading misinformation.
"And it's important to state that our decision to go with subscriptions is not a referendum on online game revenue models. F2P, B2P, etc. are valid, proven business models - but subscription is the one that fits ESO the best, given our commitment to freedom of gameplay, quality and long-term content delivery. Plus, players will appreciate not having to worry about being "monetized" in the middle of playing the game, which is definitely a problem that is cropping up more and more in online gaming these days. The fact that the word "monetized" exists points to the heart of the issue for us: We don't want the player to worry about which parts of the game to pay for - with our system, they get it all."

I think that's not true because if you have to step away for a sec or mute it for taking a call then it would disqualify you? O_o seems unreasonable.

There's this new thing called a "volume control" it looks like a little speaker in the bottom right of your screen. If you click on it and choose "mixer" you can "mute" the browser playing the stream instead of the stream itself. If you're not that tech savvy, then there's usually a "knob" on your speakers for doing the same thing or a button that will turn them "off".

It’s definitely true, disbelief is on you. Streamers themselves have been saying it too.
The web browser itself can be muted thus keeping you in the qualifying. So don’t mute Twitch, mute the whole browser. It’s located in the upper left corner of the screen on the browser tab itself. Turning the volume almost all the way down on Twitch works too.

Yep I've read that if you mute a *twitch* stream it wont count you as a viewer. However if you only muted the stream for a bit as opposed the the whole time then I'm pretty sure you still would have been considered a viewer at some point and therefore eligible for drops
