It really hasn't. At least on my server, its dropped dramatically.

You are correct eso peaked a while back most of the long term players leaned in hard and yearn for 2016

Took me a while to see them, but when I saw about 5 or more toons all in the same pose, doing the exact same movements, it had to be bots. Attack mud crab or bear or what ever, go back to rock, hunch and repeat. What humans do that?

They're usually running around in a loop doing dolmens, repeating loots kill mobs that drop hide or botting mats etc...

Or botting levels to sell the account.

Ah, that's the @leepalmer95 I knew and missed. "The bots are geniuses, they've figured out how to disguise themselves as real people. They've even coded them to call me rude things when I call them out in zone chat. It's amazing!"

In fairness to you, there is an extremely frustrating bot problem. But, it's not an epidemic. Also, if you're seeing, "bots," doing dolmens... those aren't bots. Mindlessly farming the same 30 mob pulls all week? Yeah, might be a bot. When you see 24 players walking in exactly the same point, running the exact same route, spamming the same attacks, yeah, that's bots.

10 million accounts including trials. That is not copies sold even the investor call wouldn't make that claim.i could see 2 million showing up after a dlc. But almost all the sites that track player activities in mmos claim eso is at about 500k actives

Also worth noting, the population estimates for that site aren't the main draw. The site's set up to measure MMO popularity on Reddit. So, it does that. I tries to use that as an overall litmus test for an MMO's popularity as a whole... which, okay, kinda, I guess. The actual population numbers? No, those are just guesses.

please share your thoughts on what you think the active player base of this game is. Because the investors report is not reflecting 2 million people playing. the game is healthy and profitable bu no where near some MMOS at there 4 year mark. Even with B2P and a cash shop

Played on ps4 na since the game was released and all i got to say about it is the the population use to be bigger then it is now but there are lots still but with how much nonsense that is allowed to happen and how toxic ps4 na is the population will probably continue to decrease until it's dead or not many remain it's the lack of attention and monitoring the game that has a lot of players on ps4 wanting to quit to the point that they do cheating and toxicity are rampant on ps4 na and their is never anything that gets done about it either we have no major streamers on ps4 either eso on ps4 is just there to play but it almost feels at times like it's really not a game owned by a company who takes care of it because zos lack of involvement on ps4

I don't know, at 4:30AM this morning, NA/PC, I was in a delve in Summerset and there were several players there. I doubt the game is dying but most people don't play on Steam since sometimes Steam sucks.

No, but the steam stats only count players who log in through steam, not the ones who log in separately, which was the point they were trying to make. Someone cited the steam player counts in support of the game being dead because they are bad at logic mistaken about what they mean.

Steam has a separate login server (that applies over top of the normal PC login server), but they actually play on PCNA or PCEU. However, when the steam login server goes down, steam players are locked out of their game. (This happened several times leading into and after the Summerset launch.)

Well the posts on this forum have dropped off quite a bit, if that's any indication.

Probably due to the increasing lack of originality in the topics. One can only read about guild traders, OP sorcerers, making picking a flower account-wide, or the performance issues in Cyrodiil so many times before deciding to spend more time playing the game instead  !

ESO is doing fine as long as your having fun. I haven't played much this summer because you know... 30°C degrees and i love working in my garden and doing stuff outside when the weather allows it. And i think many people do.
When the rain comes people will play more.

Well, winter in the southern hemisphere doesn't mean much - depends on where you are. We were roaming around in the australian outback with around 28 degree C during the day - about 12-14 at night - so this is much like it is in summer in a lot of places in the northern hemisphere. Winter does not mean "it's cold" in all places on earth - a lot do not have cold in winter.
