Simple, QoL/utility changes for DKs, that won't cause imbalances.

NBs received a few fair QoL changes that aided in giving the class a well knit, well synergysing feel without overbuffing it. (i.e. shade, will, etc) I'd like to recommend a few for my main.

Spiked armour+morphs: A similar change, for similar reasons, WOR, combustion and the animations make it seem hot, and it'd generally benefit the DK style a bit more. The damage return and volatile's dot portion should be fire.
  • Note on volatile: Personally it'd feel better if this was mag cost, poison damage and scaling of the highest stat. Posion spines is a cool theme and would be useful pressure stamDKs and stamina sustain on a MagDK/tank, synergising with the stamina combustion. This however might be more work intensive.

Dark and Choking talons: Its Direct damage now become fire damage. The other morph keeps its dot so is better for pressure: Why? Allows it to benefit from the world in ruin passive, and increases combustion proc chances. Allows PvE tanks to benefit from magicka combustion. The animation reflects this. They are slightly on fire.

Firey breath+morphs: Hitbox fixes, though the reps say that they are planned.

Claw+morphs: Slight range buff, again, apparently planned. These abilities are quite hard to land.

Battle roar: Instead of being based on the cost of the ultimate, make it based on total ultimate consumed. Balorgh works on a similar principle so I think it is fair. Allows DKs to save and use their ultimate more tactically rather than on cooldown without sacrificing sustain.

    I'd also like if volatile was poison damage and scaled based off the highest stat. Coding it in shouldn't be too hard. The simple overview is that it's an attribute [*magic]->[*poison] change and copy and pasting code from Infernal into Volatile. In theory at least.

    Not sure about the Talons changes. I think it just be better to look for a buff to passives. This one also might be harder to code since you're changing how the skill functions, not just how the damage is calculated. That said, if passives don't get buffed and they can make the change, it would be an excellent QoL change.

    Battle Roar suggestion needs to happen, that's not a QoL change, that's a "this used to hurt my head because it was so blatantly obvious" kind of change that should have happened when they changed the numbers from percentage to flat numbers. Really feels bad not using ultimate at the moment. The only bright side is that if you use ult cost reduction, technically you get "free" resources.

    Obviously DKs passives need a major overhaul. Some active abilities I'd like to see changed:

    Inferno - becomes a way to spread DoTs to other enemies within a small AoE.

    Spiked Armor - One morph becomes Flame damage, the other Poison. Remove the activation DoT and put more emphasis on the damage return.

    Igneous/Fragmented Shield - Make this (not Stone Fist) the de facto healing ability/morphs.

    Stone Fist - Rework into a character buff ability, perhaps like a Grim Focus but for healing.

    Magma Shell - Remove the underperforming shield and have the ability buff DoT damage while active.
    Invictus
    Kilandros - Dragonknight / Grand Overlord
    Deimos - Templar / Grand Warlord
    Sias - Sorcerer / Prefect
    Short answer is DKs likely won't be seeing a ton of changes before we go live; this class is still quite powerful (as it should be being a tank), even after some of the adjustments we've made to other classes and abilities.

    I really would like to see a Stam version of deep breath, better ulti gen in the DK toolkit, the stamina restore for helping hands increased and reduction in cost for ALL class skills.

    Any chance in fixing whip, its really clunky and difficult to land.

    A band aid fix would just to instantly apply offbalance on petrify, instead of on the setup whip. So that instead of the 3 gcd CC-Whip-Lash which is too telegraphed and evadable (Can prevent initial CC via range/immunity. Can prevent setup lash via, rolling, cloaking, purging/immunity with the CC, or streaking out of bounds, and then can do the same to the power lash)

    Hard CCs are not spammable and immovable pots exist, and it'd only be on a single, low ranged one, so it won't be abusable. It just allows you to actually land the PL every now and then. It'd still require a setup lash on the every 2s talons. or any ranged CC/root.
