Bard Class??? NO!
Same as I always say on the matter of new classes - it would be no issue for new hands, but very vexing for older players. Both because it would require us to make a -new- character and play through all the content to enjoy the new stuff, train riding, do guilds, etc.; and because it would be rather aggrivating to see a new class that would have been a better fit for an existing character.
And the one thing that could resolve the issue would be class change, which ZOS is on record stating they do not intend to ever do.
Thus... I for one will never support new classes... but instead would -love- to see more skill lines!
And "Bard" would make for such a nifty guild-sized DLC... as I have mentioned before: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/387560/additional-guild-ideas-mk-ii

we need more classes in this game than what we got as the classes get very stale and you end up making the 2 of the same class over and over again just to fit the game

lol this is very true, Ive made stam and mag of every single class, also I have made two different type of mag builds for same class, its old for me now and have to just settle for becoming a meta gamer like everyone else. Its getting tedious as now its a game of changing a few things to meet the new standards and your done, congrats on being the current best you could possibly be, now wait 3 months, rinse and repeat.

Yeah I’m tired of playing the same classes for years now. We need a new approach. Its about time we got a new class.

Or three per class, one for each alliance, or one in each armor weight...DuskMarine wrote: »we need more classes in this game than what we got as the classes get very stale and you end up making the 2 of the same class over and over again just to fit the game
Exactly.I agree. Until some sort of class change option is available (preferably an in game shrine reset like with skills and attributes, though a crown store option would still be better than nothing), adding a new class is just a pain for long term players.
https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/387560/additional-guild-ideas-mk-iiIn the meantime, more guild...
https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/371862/additional-weapon-skill-ideas-mk-ii...and weapon skill lines are the way to go...

But whoever said adding new classes so the ones who already did that have yet to make -more- alts is a good idea? (Only those who have not yet done too many alts I suspect)
I say instead, we need ways to refit new life into existing classes, ways that -everyone- can enjoy, no matter if they are on merely their second alt, or have been playing a dozend or more characters for years!
Which is why I started daydreaming about some way to make this happen, working out a proof of concept layout and posting it in one form or another for quite a while now: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/369966/class-morph-idea-mk-iiExactly.I agree. And the last word I know of from ZOS concering any "class change" is that they were still thinking about alliance change options, but don't ever intend to do class change. So, unless they change their minds... (which might not be very likely, no other MMORPG game I ever played had a class change... admittedly, I have not played all that many... since I seek out games for the background lore, not for the game.)https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/387560/additional-guild-ideas-mk-iiIn the meantime, more guild...https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/371862/additional-weapon-skill-ideas-mk-ii...and weapon skill lines are the way to go...
Been there, posted that!

A true support role with specific buffs that already exist and ones that you could create specifically for this class.

So... your idea is to eliminate "alt making sprees" by... forcing people to make more alts through adding a new class they would have to make alts for???DuskMarine wrote: »the good idea of more classes is to eliminate the alt making sprees...
As I keep saying... it would be -perfect- for a TG/DB sized DLC!Bard would probably work better as a Skill line.
