Turning the page to August now ...

Still haven’t included PvP in your skewed “end game” Leaderboard calculations I see.

Maybe it’s safe since nobody plays Wardens in PvP.

- No gap closer
- Easily avoidable burst damage

No pay wall in HoF (until recently, you couldn't play this trial without owning the warden class):

12/521 (2.9%)

Here are numbers from April of this year (before Morrowind became a DLC):

8/531 (1.5%)

All endgame players own the warden. They don't use it because it sucks.

And every other class can hit 50k+ (and gets to use an AOE ultimate), so unfortunately, they really are that bad.

As an Xbox player, I am not aware of people hitting 50k+ self-buffed with anything that isn’t a Nightblade. Do PC players generally hit higher numbers? Not sure.

Magicka warden is one or two skills away from being perfect imo

One for sure is Arctic Blast.
The whole skill needs a complete rework and IMO needs to become a solid dps option with DoT ticks every second.
The heal could easily be removed from the skill as there is so much healing from the Green Balance tree. If the healing is kept thats okay but 7% of your max health in PVP for 4000 magicka is terrible lol.

I just don't see the point in playing Warden when I can play a Templar. Templar is, in my opinion, the more effective "jack of all trades" class.

No point in arguing about any class in endgame PvE. It rotates semi annually and for right now if you're a competitive group it's nightblade or go home. Relax and enjoy the game, warden is a fun class.

Interesting metric. If you’re comparing it to the other classes, though, you theoretically couldn’t have two 1/5 for the dps spot. I’d swap the tank and dps ratings for Templar, personally. And if we continue in that vein, I would guess the classes fall as follows:

Warden

Heals: 4/5
DPS: 1/5
Total: 9

Templar
Tank: 1/5
Heals: 5/5
DPS: 2/5
Total: 8

Nightblade
Tank: 3/5
Heals: 3/5
DPS: 5/5
Total: 11

Sorcerer

Heals: 1/5
DPS: 4/5
Total: 7

Dragon knight
Tank: 5/5
Heals: 2/5

(I’m not super sure on heals rankings between sorc and dk)

Now idk that this is really any sort of valuable or realistic metric, and I definitely think you could rank the roles differently. Would be interesting to hear how others might rank them differently.

This clearly isn't true based on the stats.

Warden representation = 2.7%

All other classes = 20-25%

Lets all be Mag Sorcs.

Then we only get nerfed in all the wrong places and stay OP.

Actually mag sorcs are FAR from top at DPS. Like 10k below a NB and below other classes too.

The problem with those rankings is that DPS is the most important endgame class.

Trial composition is:
2x heals
2x tanks
8x DPS

Warden is the only class that is a clear detriment in the DPS role (all other classes have some form of utility and an AOE ultimate). DPS magdens bring nothing to the team other than low single target damage. The major slayer from MA isn't nearly enough to compensate for the lack of damage and kit utility.

Dont expect ZOs will do it. Never do it. ZOs is only appeasing streamers. These self proclaimed pneed cheesy class.

Warden seriously requires PVE DPS bonus. Its way bottom.

@MLGProPlayer yeah, you could definitely make a more complex ranking system where the points per role are weighted by the average composition per trial. There’s also a question whether dps should be considered separately between mag and stam, although I imagine the rankings stay pretty much the same for both builds across the classes. But should they count for twice as many points? And would it be appropriate the split the other roles by stam and mag as well, then? Plus, an integer-based ranking system like that won’t capture where great disparities exist, e.g., maybe warden healers are basically just as good as Templar healers, but nb healers are better than dk healers by a large margin. In both cases it’s still only a one point difference.

Lots more that could be done to make it a more potent metric, but I figure it’s a potential conversation point.

I have actually made a good Magicka Warden which is frost damage based, I usually only play her in pvp but she melts vdstar for example, done that a few times with some guildies on her.

She is currently out performing my stamden and I still need to work on both of them but for me there is no other mag option for a warden than to go frost so yea it would be great to see some other mag option on a warden.

I think the stam options are really good for pvp, hes pretty shockingly bad in most hard pve content though lol

Get master Ice staff it's doing wonders for me in pvp

I usually play with a stamina friend with nature's embrace to escape the zergs it's really fun and my build is really strong. Of course the overall dps is lower but I'm really tanky with awesome heals over time with malubeth and Living Trellis for burst heal. I can dps quite a lot too while being a support build.
