Bored of the game, nothing to do anymore

Mostly after DLCs that are designed for 20 hours of gameplay, so after finishing all story lines I have nothing to do anymore.

Also I used to take a breaks from specific content after some serious balance changes (for example I stopped doing trials for long time after Morrowind launched, because I hated sustain nerfs and heavy attack meta so much)

Technical issues with the game

Bad performance, server lag and bugs. At first I thought it's just my pc, but my friend has the same issues with a really good pc and this is really a shame that the game is so unoptimized.
Also I didnt like vAS trial and it made me quit my raiding group. Idk, its just super boring and annoying. I did hardmode and some other achievements but this trial just wasnt fun for me. I hope ZOS will abandon this lazy "mini trial concept".

Bored of the game, nothing to do anymore

Should be able to click more than one. I had nobody to play with anymore as Im that last scion of my first guild in the game.. joining other guilds just feels weird but I still do it. I never really did dungeons but I enjoy some doleman and world boss carnage. Haven't done it with any other guild for ages.

I had to write other even though Bored of the game was up there, but it wasn't for a lack of anything to do. When you go hard at ESO for months on end, like any game, it can become a slog to login and do stuff.

That's why I took a nice hiatus after I finished Morrowind. I gotta say, 1 year break and coming back - it feels nice to be playing again.

I do this pattern for most games too like Warframe. Play hard for a month or two, then break and do other games, rinse repeat. Some cycles last longer than others, but always need breaks to keep games feeling less of a chore, and more interesting.

I mostly take a break when I have no more to unlock or a lot of work in real life. But I was a non-guild player until a few months ago. Now, even if I have nothing to do, there is still people to play with.
If I take a new break, I think I'll log on at least once a week to run with guildies or friends.

Few factors combined: burnout < chaos and nerfs after each big update, forcing new content without fixing old bugs < greed and predatory marketing. I can deal with burnout taking small breaks, and I can survive the changes and bugs, but the awful, foul greed gets me more and more. ZOS and their overpriced Crown Store, trade guilds sitting on millions and flipping prices (and whining about "you ruin the market!" all the time, really?)... The only thing keeping me in game right now is my wonderful guild I've sworn to lead

Bored of the game, nothing to do anymore

When I stop playing. It’s because I’ve gotten bored. There hasn’t been many outstanding games on Xbox lately. Which is why I comeback.

This game really needs a way for it to feel fresh to me again. Which is why I beg for a necromancy class because that would do it. Enjoyed Summerset but didn’t care for the skilline and didn’t enjoy its grind

when a game gets repetitive I get bored and leave. this started just after the second high end raiding guild I have been in broke up due to various reasons. mmos now days are just not very involved and complex. sure they might have a lot of content but most of it is rather simple and not very involved. housing furnishing in this game is an example of such.

just to let some of you know I have pvped and obtained the highest ranks in the mmos i did it in. so if any of you think that will solve being bored it doesn't. pvp is far easier than pve once you learn how your opponent reacts.

I get bored by playing one character after 3-4 months. In other mmorpgs I play I just create an alt, but ESO is very alt unfriendly (especially in comparsion). So every time I get bored I just drop the game for 8-9 months.

Technical issues with the game

I'm taking a break now have not been ingame for over a week now performance in pvp in unplayable right now. There is nothing to do in pve land I have done all quest DLC chapters trials housing farming you name it. So all I want to do is pvp until the next dlc comes out and I cant with out crashing and freezing all the time.

And this is big for me not to log in for over a week bc in 4 years of all the bugs and issues there has never been one day I didn't at least log in. This is the 1st in 4 years tells you how bad it has gotten.

Busy with life, work, school

I've been away from the game a few times over the years. The first time was because of the original gold seller plague. I remember logging into some insane number of ads in my inbox from them and was like, "**** this, I'm out." Came back when Unlimited was announced. Got back in the flow. Left with the horrific load screens after the IC dropped, came back after Wrothgar. Since then, I'll wander off for a week or two. Usually, that's because I'm busy with other things, though I will sometimes switch games for a week.

Usually to try out a new game when it releases but always end up coming back to ESO. ESO has been the MMO that I have spent the most time with and still going.

It's always good to try something out then come back, it makes it refreshing in a way.

Yeah, the "mini trial concept" does feel like lazy boss rush design compared to something like maw or hof. Idk but I liked going through maw's little map, listening to the npcs & the mechanics on top of having the add waves between bosses. Not to mention there's not as much loot/ undaunted plunder in AS or CR so as you progress / learn the trial you don't really get any rewards.

Bored of the game, nothing to do anymore

I've stopped playing the game for some time now as there is really nothing interesting to do anymore that I could archive. All the new challenging group content is placed way out of my abilities. The Normal group content is a joke and gives no real reason to run it. Getting a few quests every months and continue collection useless motifs or other grindy stuff is no reason to continue playing the game.

Focusing the gameplay on ultra fast skill requirements with the implied requirement on pitch perfect Light Attack weaving was the final nail in the coffin for me.
