They can simply Unsummon it. Do they really need it activated in town? When I am in town I dismiss my flappy. It's pretty simple as that.

This. I have a Sorc. She dismisses her summon when she's headed for town. It's SO annoying to have twilights in your face at the wayshrine, the bank, the crafting stations.... Pretty much the first thing I noticed about this game's players.... SO annoying. So are the ones who pack the bank in Vivec while mounted.

I wish ESO would make towns "dead zones" so to speak. Where you can't summon, duel, etc.. basically you walk into a town and your twilight gets automatically dismissed. "sigh" that would be so nice

1: Not dismissing your flappy twilights when dealing with crafting or the bank.
2: Mudballing strangers outside of the event that demands mudballing. The same goes for spamming any other sort of emote on others like that bird thing. I forget what the bird one is called.
3: Gloating in any form is rude, but most especially teabagging. This is beyond rude.
4: Dueling in the middle of town, especially right next to a wayshrine.
5: Sweeping in and stealing a chest when someone is struggling to open it.
6: Telling someone they suck as a player and tossing "L2P" letters at them instead of offering constructive criticism as to how one could improve.
7: Kicking someone from a party before giving them a chance.
I probably could go on and on and on. I am easily annoyed and whiny, but this should do for now.

I agree with everything on your list 100% but what I hate more than anything is when people stand in front of doors and stuff. Are they pretending that they are guards or something? And you know it absolutely intentional so it's a good thing that players are intangible. Could you imagine if they weren't

Ah yes, the door thing! There might actually be a chance they ARE pretending to be guards or something due to RP, but the chance of that is very, very slim. You made me remember some buffoon who was blocking the entrance to the kitchen in Craglorn by summoning their merchant assistant and parking her right there. Alas, the merchant is NOT intangible, and this person took sadistic delight in ignoring people's pleas to move her. Fortunately I discovered that I could dodge roll right past her and get into the room, but it was quite annoying. So yes, I could imagine if they weren't, and it makes me grateful that they aren't.

Okay so why do you think they stand in front of doorways? I personally see it as trolling. How do you see it?

My assumption would be that they are just afk and that's where they chose to stop. The reason I don't see it as trolling in many cases is that the number of people they would actually be trolling with this behavior is likely very small as I'd imagine the vast majority of players just ignore someone standing in a doorway and keep walking through. I'm not saying it's not possible they are trolling, it's just that there are much better ways to do that if that is the intention.

People stands in doors because why not? if you move from A too B, and you suddenly get called on, you will leave your character a place between A and B, it's not like you're going out of your way too place the character somewhere else before you go, right?

Fair enough but It's still annoying. And besides, they can AFK anywhere why in front of doors? I personally don't so why do they specifically choose that?
RubyWarfare wrote: »SocialAssassin wrote: »[quote="Okay so why do you think they stand in front of doorways? I personally see it as trolling. How do you see it?
It is possible it is trolling, but as others have said it is more likely just people going afk and not taking the time to move their character to a better location.

I occasionally go afk for a bio or a bottle of water while I'm in a load screen, if I'm somewhere that's going to be safe, and never thought about whether it was in a doorway because no collision. It's never occurred to me that it might look forbidding. Huh.

Sylvermynx wrote: »No worries. Sometimes, you know, being new is really great, because you go read EVERYTHING you can find about the game. I've done that with every game I've ever played (eh - lots easier now with google for sure!) since the very first one: Stonegate - back when I was on a Xerox dos machine, and anything about the machine or games etc tended to be sent by mail (er - um - postal service as in snail mail) on mimeographed pages - nope, not kidding.... first computer in 1984, first CRPG in early 1985.
Believe me when I say: 1 - I am forever grateful for my early machines and experiences; 2 - I will forever wish that computers had been available the way they are now when I was in my 20s; 3 - I'm VERY happy with the state of digitally available information today.
Yep. My only real regret is that I was years too early to truly buy into the digital age. Eh, it's one of those things that's happened over and over throughout my life: I'm either way too early with ideas - or way too late.
