I absolutely love these two new homes. =D

    My only two complaints are...
    • Not being able to repair the crumbling sections of villa. They are perma stuck features. >.>
    • The lighting and red moon on the forest home. I would definitely purchase if not for this. :(
I intend to purchase the Villa if it's not too pricey. And if the lighting was fixed on forest home, I'd also very much desire to grab that! (This from someone who's never purchased a home on crown store yet)

After I purchased both homes on the pts, they did not appear in my list of "owned" homesteads after pressing hotkey U to get to that window.

What are your opinions on the new homes?

I absolutely LOVE the Grand Psijic Villa! It has everything I ever wanted in an Altmer style home. Plenty of waterfalls, ponds, blossum trees (even in unfurnished) and a very lovely interior. I really love the mix of old and new Altmeri architecture too!

The Hunter's Glade home just isn't my cup of tea. Maybe a blank slate home with a prettier landscape (Auridon, Glenumbra area surrounding Daggerfall, the Rift etc.) would be nice. Both the blank slate homes we've gotten so far have been quite morbid and bleh IMO.

Which of these homes do you plan to get if any?

If the Grand Psijic Villa will be purchaseable with Gold, I will 100% save up my gold for this home! If not, well, guess I'll miss out and yet another beautiful home in this game because they insist on Crown exclusivity and limited release cycles. :(:(:(

Is there any items you see in the dlc that you wish were furnishings?

In this upcoming DLC? Not that I've seen so far.

Also, just a note to people complaining about the limited decos in some sections of the furnished interior of the Grand Psijic Villa. It is the PTS. They added aditional deco's/moved things around in Alinor Crest Townhouse during the Summerset PTS. So I wouldn't be surprised if they added more deco's down the road. Guess time will tell. :)

I just hope that the hunter's glade doesn't become a limited time house like Tel Galen.

And I hope that it does. Having something limited and exclusive is one of the reasons I even buy them.

"The only way I can feel good about myself is if I have something others do not even if it makes others unhappy but I don't care so everyone else can be miserable so I can feel special."

You're assigning your self-worth to material objects, and actually immaterial virtual objects. That's a mental problem, for one.
It also is something that is very wrong with many people in the world. People assign that same thought process to necessities like clean water and food and even write off other people's lives as "not as important as mine" in the same way.
You need to rethink your life and let everybody have fair and equal access to these things.

FYI, if you get your way then the game is going to die a lot faster and you will lose these virtual items like everybody else because exclusive competitive games designed like that are not big and do not last long usually. EVE Online is a prime example as having at most 400k players at its peak and not being advertised much or attracting new players much.
People do not like unfair systems that don't let them enjoy the product they pay for to the fullest. This is why I'm getting sick and tired of mmos, the entitled snob attitude(not insulting, just that's the definition) like yours ruining the game.

And I hope that it does. Having something limited and exclusive is one of the reasons I even buy them. Clearly ZOS knows this as well; if you participated in a survey they sent a while back, it was very clear that they were gauging things exactly like that from people who buy crown store items.

And speaking of that survey, I and about 214 other responders here on the forum disagree with the approach that basically caters to envy and exclusiveness. There's always that other side of the coin.

The other side of the coin isn't making them money, though. It's a foregone conclusion the exclusive, limited, high-margin items like these drive a vast percentage of microtransactions in games.

    Really??!!

"Let's not allow most of our customers to spend the same amount as the others on an item. We'll make (5k x $100) and be happy with that when we could have made (25k x $100) over time."

    1) It's a virtual item of unlimited supply. It being exclusive is by definition a lie.

    2) Being unlimited supply, they would be stupid to deny themselves extra money.

    3) Not everybody even has the ability to drop $100 "at the drop of a hat" even if they want to. They may need to save up and still want to spend it on that house and only that house, but the developers would rather release more houses they don't want as also limited time rather than get $100 they would be guaranteed from that customer for something they actually want.

It would be like if food and water were exclusive as necessities, or gas. The companies know people are going to spend certain amounts of money on those, because people need them, so denying people the ability to purchase, given enough supply, would be financial suicide.
These house may not be necessities, but people definitely feel they "need" them enough to buy them just as easily, when they have the money.

It really is financially irresponsible of them to make these limited time and completely neuter their potential profits.

I definitely would prefer intact structure to the Psijic home, but it's still nice. I don't like the huge empty church for the building though.

I definitely hate what the lighting of the Hircine home does to my character's armor look. It looks so matte and brown. I would love the forest if it was just standard dark with the red moon being less of a "red sun". Superman would agree.

What are your opinions on the new homes?
Psijic Villa - beautiful but way too big to decorate with only 700 slots!

Glade - I really like the idea for this one. Ruined Tower with a portal to the Hunting Grounds is so neat and different.

Which of these homes do you plan to get, if any?
I think neither as they are both Crown Only and I still haven't finished decorating my Erstwhile. :o

Any items in the DLC that you wish were furnishings?
I haven't run either of the new dungeons so that would be the only furniture added to a new "area" I guess. It seemed like everything in the new homes was available in some fashion.

    New Mastercraft Furniture Plans:
    • I love them!! (especially needed that levitating bed for my Garret Psijic Apartment!)
    • Could we please get the Full bookcase actually Filled though? (with books, scrolls, knick-knacks and whatnot) Filling bookcases takes so many precious item slots and without stuff in it, it is going to give a very empty feeling to the room...

    Other new Furniture:
    • I bug reported, but some of the new remains don't show up in the Preview in the furniture editor. (of course their exact name has just flown from my brain...)
    • Achievement Furniture: I love the skull bowl but the banner is a bit "meh". It would be nice to get banners + a unique furniture item as banners are rather circumstantial.
    • Thank you for adding some of the new Flora to the Home Goods Vendor!

@Carbonised I really would love my own room in Ceporah Tower, although maybe with some additional off-shoot rooms rather than just one big room like the 3 you get to portal into lol. It is magic, you can squish whatever shapes you want into that tower - it isn't like the external size and internal size feel very meshed atm anyways. OR the room with the portals that don't go anywhere - One of the those could be a player a house - Psijic floating house, sky over Artauem, Medium or Large size, stunning view,. Psijic Architecture...

@BreakdownX98 I hope that is the case, but on the PTS there is no gold purchase option at all which usually indicates a Crown-Only house.

Only thing I like about Hircane Hunt is the dungeon looking foyer.... I'd love a blank slate dungeon so I could create my own rpg dungeon map like the old Eye of the Beholder games. That would be great!

I like both new homes though I do think the psijic order house if could only choose one would be my choice. Though right now they both seem to indicate that they are crown only I would like to think that the wolf house would be more like hakkvild where you have to achieve something in order to buy to be a better choice for that house.

The psijic house is very large and while I do not mind most of the items are made for normal sized houses and look tiny within such a large building.

Unlike some who are hoping to make it look lived in I have no such aspirations. Most palace type buildings wouldn't be homes in the typical sense and the owners of said would probably have a horde of servants cleaning up everything all of the time. They would not have the lived in look by in large save for perhaps the more private spaces which are a bit easier to manage.

The very large cathedral type areas would be were you would meet important guests dignitaries and where the "work" would take place. You discussing laws whether to go to war sign treaties and such would take place there as supplicants made their cases... with one of the side rooms be where scribes and the like would work. It is not exactly meant as personal space. They would be less personal and more whatever works and has enough room for lots of people. So this is fine...that it should feel very empty like being in an empty church or courtroom if alone there makes sense. Unlike smaller houses where you can get the feeling that someone was just there a moment ago and left whatever unfinished and feel right. The feel for this is fine for the structure.

The wolf house has a good feel for someone who likes a more secret hide away type place thieves den or what not for the inside . While I like the outdoor space in general the more reddish tint to the area is not a favorite. Kind of get a feeling of seeing everything through a blood haze perhaps this was intended considering but again not really a fan of the lighting. It is nice large and I do enjoy the more forest type landscape. Again if you have decided to make places where we can build our own structures one must provide the tools needful for us to make said structures. The alinor styled pieces are fine for certain places however I do not think they would fit this area.

I'll give some feedback on the Hunter's Glade. I like the idea- a wide open space for werewolves to be werewolves. Put some target dummies in there to build your ultimate and it's fun to run around.
I'm not sure it qualifies as 'notable' unless you're talking about space and capacity. It pales in comparison to other 'notable' homes, but the feature is neat.
A note: you cannot 'preview' the infinite werewolf feature. Only once you purchase the home can you maintain werewolf indefinitely, and only in the glade portion.

Also, the exit portal should have some kind of marker on the map. If you know where it is, it's easy to spot, but for such an open space, it'd be nice to not have to use 'go to entrance' - especially if you're a visitor (do visitors get to maintain werewolf form? because that would be critical here)

Things I would like to see from housing in the future!

    1. More "for gold" housing. Even small rooms would be fine. One each "Story" DLC/Chapter would be great (so, twice a year)
    2. More slots in houses - ESPECIALLY in the inn-rooms. It's really VERY hard to clutter a small room with only 30 slots (and impossible with 15)
    3. CRAFTABLE glass furnishings, using the malachite shards as mats, including windows.
    4. WOODEN floor segments pls!
    5. Far-out probably never going to happen thing - ability to make Assistants follow a path around the house

Thank you for this amazing system!!

Two pages of this and everyone seems to be bubbling over even more colossal over-sized completely-unfurnishible-without-feeling-deathly-empty crown store only mansions?

Can we please have some medium and small houses? The two house offerings that came with Vvardenfell were more like it. Since then it's been 2 mansions per DLC. There's an obvious trend here and it seems like a marketing calculation. Like someone did a goal seek on developer hours vs price point and decided mansions were the best bang for the buck. Mansions however aren't the best value for the player.

We want houses that I can actually fill without getting nailed by the abysmal furnishing cap. Medium houses are really the sweet spot and offer the best value and live in space.

I cant help but looking at these mansions and then giving up thinking of how the hell i would ever need that much empty space.

I know, right. Like @Mix writes, the Ceporah Tower would be the perfect place for a medium-to-large sized apartment with several rooms, for those of us that like a real mage's/Psijic home instead of just a Summerset villa in Aertaeum.

We can hope, but unfortunately I think that ship is sailed, now that Summerset already has the 3 houses + inn room.

Also, on another note @ZOS_GinaBruno and co., the Mastercrafter writs should also call for items made in the Pyandoneam motif, as well as Pyandonean motif giving a bonus to the chance of dropping a writ. I didn't see any of this in the patch notes on PTS or live, and the Pyandonean motif is obtainable in the game (via fishing) and isn't a Crown Store exclusive, so it should count for motif knowledge plus be part of the mastercrafter system like the other motifs.

can anyone tell me if it's again 2 new crown only houses?

I am very enthusiastic about housing and its potential and don't mind spending some time on the forum and sharing some idea's that are easy to achieve, however I do mind spending my time on basically endless crownstore item discussions...

if by some miracle the wolf house would be one that we could purchase with gold, it would be even more sad. endless posts on forum suggesting what seems to be almost a majority would like to see a truly empty house and not ready themed, sorta empty etc etc

What are your opinions on the new homes?
Both are nice, especially the Psijic one is awesome. Too sad that both seem to become available crown exclusive only. When e.g. Hakkvilds Hall came, it was great, having the choice to buy it for crowns, or to gather the corresponding achievement and buy it for gold.

Which of these homes do you plan to get if any?
Crown exclusive, so they might be 15k+ crowns. So None of both I think.

What did the new homes do right that you would like to see repeated in future homes?
Both homes got a very special "mood" which makes them unique, especially when it comes to the outside areas

Is there any items you see in the dlc that you wish were furnishings?
Loved the blueish mushrooms which grow in one of the new Dungeons :)

    Additional Feedback to new furnishings
Its sad that the new golden craftable book case is empty.. Seriously a golden special pattern for an -empty- bookcase. It might make a good wooden wall or basement though. But It should have books inside, Filling up such a big bookcase yourself would take up to many slots to be really worth it. The other new recipes from Rolis looked fine so far, I am looking forward to get them when U19 goes live, I really need that levitating bed ;)
I hoped for the Summerset vines since I saw them on Summerset PTS. I was kind of hyped when I did read that Vines, Sun-Bronzed Ivy Cluster are now available from the furnishing NPC. But was disappointed to see its only the "shrub". Where are the Summerset vine "curtains" ? Would be great to see those added here, too.

The Psijic home is breathtaking on its own.
But I don't see, how I will be able to fill such a big house with a mere 700 furnishings. I own the Mathiisen Manor with 600 slots, which is much smaller than the Villa and it is impossible to fill it with meaning.

Still praying for a furnishing slot increase

Something that struck me while playing around inside Psijic Villa was that it felt as though there should be some secret passage between one or both of the little out of the way water access points leading to within the interior bath/crypt beneath those stairs.

And carbon copies of the mini instanced north/south wing rooms for the immediate upstairs?

Ah, nice, then it's already working.

Well, it's not different than Buoyant Armiger or the other "rare" motifs, for purple items it's only 1 voucher more, but if you get a gold item writ and perhaps nirn, then the "rare" motif adds in a lot more vouchers.

On another note - could the furniture/homestead systems PLEASE go through the loottables and droprates of recipes and items again, and make sure that they work as intended. Why? Every PTS patch notes we see something like "adjusted the droprate of xxx housing item, since it dropped a lot less than intended". Case in point being the housing items from Dragon Bones dungeons, which have a droprate of absolutely 0, NEVER have I seen them for sale at the guild traders on my entire megasever. Do you know how frustrating it is to see in the patch notes that xxx housing item or recipe has been added to the game, then spend upwards to 5-6 months trying to find said items, only to find out you messed up the droprate and the item is pretty much non-existant? Yeah, this happens a lot with you guys.

Another example, I have been looting the CWC zone EXTENSIVELY to get the final 2 furniture recipes I need from there. Tell me, what's up with the Fabricant tree recipes? They come in green, blue and purple variants, but even the green Fabricant recipes are rarer than normal purple CWC recipes. CWC recipes themselves are insanely rare, and obviously the Fabricant tree recipes are doubly insanely rare in the loottables. Was this really necessary? Could you not have the Fabricant tree recipes drop with the same chance as the other CWC recipes? It smells to me like something is very wonky in the loottables here as well.

I also noticed that after Summerset update, you find a LARGE amount of useless trash white furniture recipes all over the place. You know, the ones that are even worse than the useless green recipes, and the ones you can even buy at NPC vendors for very little gold. Was it really necessary to put THAT many white trash furniture recipes into the loottables?

All in all, in light of the many times I see in patch notes that woops, you unintentionally had this xxx furniture item or recipe at a mch lower droprate than intended, and in light of my own personal experiences with loottables that seem very suspicious, could your team PLEASE go through the furniture and furnishing plans lootables once again and check that things are actually working as intended, so we don't have to go yet another 6-7 months with increasing frustration about this?
