You can also train legerdemain to get these to work almost every time...

Necro aside, I must admit there is a little irony when I run out of lockpicks.I am *** in lockpicking.
Let me admit that.
Here I am trying to enjoy the zonal story in Bangkorai and this stupid lockpicking is mandatory to open a stupid house.
Now I am stuck and cant progress in that story.
How many of you think it is a stupid game design ?
Just run across what is the same quest and I'm guessing I'll either have to collect lots of lockpicks first or abandon it: I think I've yet to get more than one tumbler to stick.Really it should be about my character's skill progression, not mine, considering I have dyspraxia.
In my case, as I said, I'm dyspraxic and can't do various other stuff that's "not very hard". Someone also mentioned that lag may be an issue: for reasons I'm on the US server and far enough away that the round trip for a packet isn't instant.1) At least it's not Skyrim lockpicking
2) It's lockpicking. Unless you're numb and deaf, it's not very hard to do, even on Master Locks.
With some difficulty. What's the issue, you can't get the hang of it? How did you ever escape Coldharbour the first time?
I find it odd that some people have characters with a 'moral stance' against thievery or 'breaking and entering' while they're OK with killing "enemies"... even if those enemies have legit reasons (from their perspective) of opposing you. In my opinion, killing is killing, murder is murder... but apparently some people put theft and lockpicking morally higher than killing/murder. Go figure.

I admire that you still have limits.Merlin13KAGL wrote: »@DenMoria it's been the occasional rare moment where I've moved them to the bank to shuffle something around, and simply forgot to put them back.

But if you kick in the door then you'll have to kill them and steal from their corpse. Personally I won't steal directly from the living. I'll steal if there's nobody there, I'll steal if they won't see me and I'll take what I need from your corpse, but I refuse to steal from the living (vampires are an exception - I'll steal from them, they're not alive anyway).
