I have to say that this is indeed disappointing. This is 2014 and you've got to adjust to your customers - it shouldn't be the other way around. And even more worrying is that officials won't give out any info or try to calm people.

Cheapest for them to patch during their day-time working hours, nothing new about that for any company that tries to keep cost down. Unfortunately it affects the EU customer base...

They patched after Euro prime time quite happily yesterday.

I actually have no clue what they are doing for 4hours, patching cannot surely take this long. Also we are patched up the the latest 1.01 right?

They are either making some pretty major changes, or they are migrating the megaserver over to EU.

Kinda pathetic, they are taking it down for 4h during EU peek to enable the web shop with imperial upgrade edition.

    Notice from ESO:
    - The official ESO store at store.elderscrollsonline.com will be switching over for launch. You will be able to select your preferred subscription plan and payment method.
    - The ability to upgrade from a Standard Edition to a Digital Imperial Edition will be available in the official ESO store.
    - The Palomino horse will be available for purchase from the official ESO store.

I've started a poll with regards to compensation, its not in this forum.

Well, it was certainly worth the 2 hours of playtime I've got out of the pre-order...

I'm gonna wake this thread up, and demand that we get a reply to this.
Can we assume this behavior will indicate what is in store for EU players? Why are we supposed to pay 15€ a month for a service that was implicated would be based in eu, but is based in USA, is implicated to be accessible for Eu players, but is not run in a way that caters to EU customers?

I am actually genuinely worried about what we have in store for us this weekend, I am planning to play Friday / Saturday / Sunday night and will be constantly living in the fear that we will get a server message saying its down for reboot.

Even if not its a disgrace the way that ZoS has handled the downtimes so far, particularly yesterdays. They could easily have done this during the European quiet hours, but instead chose to do it at peak time because it suited them!

I think we need an official statement from ZoS, describing their future procedures for downtimes and with regards to the EU downtimes so far, reasons why they happened at peaktime.

If you do not play on the EU server and this has not affected you, please do not pass comment on this.
