I believe it. I've always said I bet the profit margins for this game are absolutely out of this world. I'm talking 300-400% maybe even more. I bet if the player-base actually knew the real numbers we would be absolutely disgusted.

    Hi everyone,

At this time, we've gathered all the information we needed since disabling the previously-mentioned feature last week. We'll have a fix for the issue that was causing some crashes and freezing stemming from this issue, along with a handful of others, in the next incremental patch. We're still on track to release this patch the week of July 16, in 2 weeks.

What? 2 Weeks? Honestly you should have never put this game on console. You guys just walk all over us, more than half of your player base, and for what? Laziness? I dont understand. 2 years of terrible performance. Now a month of literally unplayable pvp... I dont know how you guys are keeping this game alive.

I guess from new players who just dont know yet and vet players like me that hold out the TINIEST bit of hope, simply because of nostalgia, that you guys will fix the mess you've made with this game. And especially fix the mess in cyrodil. It always comes down to performance. Why it isnt your top priority? I dont know.

So now 2 more weeks of not being able to cast skills effectively, bar swap effectively, and play like the game was meant to be played. Ive upgraded my modem, router, wifi speed, and xbox for this game. All the best you can buy. And it still performs worse than anything ive ever played. Just sad.

PC has the same problems currently for many of us, and has had awful performance for 2 years. At least console got a thread, on PC it is literally just "normal" after so long.

Last real work on PC perfornance was patch 1.2 to 1.3 that I can remember (Excluding arbitary notes saying improved performance when it has not been). That was in July 2014 lol

Not really the same Blobs. Console is actually unplayable at the moment. I dont just mean bad performance (which is one thing that is always constant) but actually unplayable.

Great link, but the only issue I see with it is that the refund is given by the seller so Zos will still get to keep the money from their sales with no accountability for selling a defective product and refusing to fix it in a timely manner.

Maybe in the long run the retailers would get sick of refunds and stop selling their products, but that's wishful thinking.

For whatever reason their management thinks it's acceptable to take payment for a product in advance and then expect the customer to wait a month and a half for a fix that might fix "some" of the issues. That's just a disgusting business practice.

I think they've pretty much said all they're going to say. An attempt to fix console freezing problems will be attempted no sooner than the week of July 16th, and sorry about the 6 weeks of constant freezing.

There is also only a 30 day window for refunds..

I'm not sure how or where subscription models fall within the legislation either, but it needs to be clarified as more and more developers chase the 'Games as a service' monetisation dream.

The sale of crown store cosmetic items is probably also a grey area, meaning that there is no legal requirement or incentive to create a playable game as long as players can look good whilst they freeze...

This is the sorry state of the industry right now..

No choice is a powerful motivator. When there's an alternative MMO worth playing on console that might change.

I would say suffering this broken game rather than playing..

And the fact that this happens should tell ZOS how much people care about the ESO, and how lucky they are to have such a loyal fanbase...

Other industries are currently trying to position themselves into attracting self-sustaining fanbases on a similar level, and they are really struggling..

I just hope that ZOS/Bethesda come to a realisation as to how rare this fanbase is, before its too late..

Alright, but can anyone stick to it?
    I really hope so!

I think ZOS only do something like occupational therapy. They hope we all would accept the bad performance like we always did in the past.

They have never given us an increased performance in the past, why should we trust them now?
Ok, maybe some players would leave the game, but that does not matter. They will get more and more new housing fans!

I'd settle for not breaking PvP completely. "Increased performance" is just a dream, but if we can maintain "functional game" I'll make due.

Yesterday was weird, I I stayed away from keeps but got into larger battles and didn't have any freezes the whole evening. I maby its something 2 do with the ap calculations but we only lost 3/24 to freezes. Did you change something or did I just get lucky? @ZOS_GinaBruno

I had a similar experience yesterday as well where I didn’t freeze out for at least a couple of hours in Xbox NA Vivec. Then all of a sudden I froze three times in like 10 minutes. I had not changed where I was fighting or what size the battles were. Ohhh how nice it was to siege a keep and not freeze for those two hours. Reminded me of the good ole days back in May of 2018.

@gp1680 yeah right? I was suspicious the whole time waiting 4 the expected freeze expecially as the 3 people froze but I didn't get any

As much as I was looking forward to getting the Tsaesci motif I wasn't willing to give them any money while the game was in an unplayable state so I passed on it.

so how many new horse skins will it take to fix the game?? because adding crap to the store and the store its self is the only thing that's always worked maybe you all should put the people that work on the crown store in charge they seem to know how to code the right way

I love the four minutes and seven load screens and logos of the companies that failed to put out a smooth playing even halfway dependable game. its so nice sitting through every ten to fifteen minutes when the game freezes up or just disconnects for the fun of it.

I made it 5 minutes today before freezing. On the positive side yesterday I only made it 4. Can't wait for the pvp event to start. At least battlegrounds seems to work with just the normal lag but really would like to get those ring traits that are only in cyrodiil.

Indeed.. and it is actually 6 weeks and there is an BIG IF-- if it is even going to be playable than.

Why on earth should we thank about this product which should not be released at this state on 1st place? None whatsoever.

Stop pouring eso+, stop buying crown crap.... and yes there should be SOMEONE from ZoS higher staff come out and explain how on earth is this mess even possible etc.

Than again they do NOT give a damn about console users... nor will they ever.

Can't tell if I'm freezing more in trials or in Cyrodiil. It's honestly a toss-up at this point.

For what it's worth the only place I can play for an hour or two without any issues is the City/sewers. I'll be there til this mess gets sorted out (if it gets sorted out)

It's such an absolute joy fighting lag in VMA. I love having to try and swap bars 4 times before actually swapping. I also love losing vitality to longer freezes.

The best is always the swap swap back to the weapon you started with when it Finally triggers...but retriggers back again due to multiple attempts....

..... no. Not even close, not remotely, not in the same ballpark, not in the same galaxy.

PC players get an occasional blue screen, but the vast majority of the time, your "lag" complaints are about better performance than console has EVER gotten in the best of times, and the console game is easily in the worst it's ever been.
