I just turned CP system and I see I have enlightenment. Will it last until I finish it or there is a time limit before it goes away ? Can I log back in for a few weeks as an example and still see the enlightenment pool available until it reaches 0?

There is no time limit, but it stops accruing at 4.8 million.

Congrats on level 50! Just another 160 levels to grind before you reach endgame

They really need to squish the numbers and make level 50 the max gear level. 160 as a gear cap is just a holdover from VR levels and adds nothing of value. Only serves to annoy new players who reach 50 just to learn they're nowhere near finished grinding yet.

You could just play the game as intendet rather than grinding to endgame, at least on your first char, as CP are accountwide...

Enlightment is used up and replenished. IIRC, each day you gain 400K enlightment, up to a maximum of the mentioned 4.8M... so, it makes sense to not let it rest at max, but to use it up, then wait for replenishment, rinse, repeat, and so on...

point of order CP160 is not "endgame" . its just the armour cap.

theres another 590 levels above that ....

How does this work out? They're already at CP160 end game. They just need to grind for the CP points now.

    All 730 of them.

Meaning when a new player hits 50, they still have another 160 CP levels of useless gear to level through before anything they loot has value or purpose.

It's a pointless extra grind that makes little to no sense, and only exists as a holdover from the old VR system. Once you do that grind the first time, all your characters are at the same CP level as soon as they hit 50, so it's literally just an arbitrary and pointless extra 160 levels for new players only to grind. New players are highly unlikely to have a full set of training gear crafted for them, so it takes a lot longer than the rest of us are used to. If you moved the level cap of gear down to 50 instead of CP160 then nothing of value would be lost. Levelling alts is still identical. It would just be a better new player experience. Think about it. There is no point in gear capping at CP160 instead of 50. CP should be account-wide bonus mini levels and have nothing to do with gear levels. Yes, you'd still need to grind CP for the stats, but at least you can be hunting down those armour sets you want while doing it now, instead of still knowing that for the first 160 CP levels the loot you're finding is still going to be useless for end game.

Endgame's CP300 now, since vet stuffs locked behind level caps. Dont worry tho OP that first lot of enlightenment will get you CP100, but with the 400k per day you'll hit CP300 before you know it ;)

Oh, yeah. I was one of the lucky ones who had VR ranking so when the new CP system took over, we were automatically CP160.

Never saw CP 1 - 160, so I forget the new folks have to grind even more.

Now I get why people are upset when they hit CP1 and everything trying to eat, kill, or spell them to death are CP160.

and thank Fred 160 is the Armour Cap. What's nice about CP; is level another char to 50 and you are instantly your CP.
Crafting my own gear, I updated when I felt outclassed; mats are easy until 160. That cost but is one off, until I change sets.
Capping at 160 also makes for a solid market in dropped sets.

Every 24 hours, you gain 400K enlightenment. The most amount of enlightenment you can have is 4.8 million, or 12 days worth of enlightenment.

The first time an account reaches CP, you get an initial starting enlightenment of 4.8 million--basically you start off with the maximum 12 days worth of enlightenment, which helps a lot in quickly plowing through the early CP levels.
