    Do you know those nice Clannfear teams? With the nice "jump on you, stun you and kill you while being stunned"? Yes, they're so nice to fight, especially for Magicka characters low on Stamina. They stunlock and kill you easier than any Nightblade in a battleground.

    I agree, Break-Free does not work at all when there is more than a few other players around in PvP. 90% of times in big battles I will get CCd, spam break free and nothing! Stamina down to 0% and I am still CCd. 3 seconds later I am dead, despite seeing zero abilities thrown my way to then see on my death recap a meteor, a leap and 193 dawnbreakers?

    This is out of control now! I don't mind the amount of CCs in the game but for the love of Mara, please let us break free and please make sure the 5sec CC immunity works (as it is now, I can get CCd as soon as I break free, over and over again till I am dead).

    Why talk about counter play when the counter play does not work at all? Lately all I am seeing in big battles is CCs, as people are well aware of the fact that due to a high number of players (and hamsters going like mad to stop the server from crashing) and are taking advantage of the fact that you can literally CC 30-40 players over and over again.

    Dragon Bones, then Summerset has completely broken PvP. Not in terms of balance, but in terms of the game actually working as intended on a very basic level!

    Well I have the feeling that CC immunity isn't working.

    PvP is like: Rune Cage --> break free as a Magicka spec --> 2s later Rune Cage --> inevitable death

    I'm not 100% sure but I also think the sprint bug is back. I think when you are CC'd while sprinting your stuck in sprint until you sprint and unsprint again. Causing you to not be able to use any abilities.

    Basically, the game knows it should stop sprinting your character when you release the sprint button. But if you hold down sprint button while a loading screen comes up (no matter how short), the game "forgets" the state of the sprint button during the load screen, and releasing sprint afterwards does nothing. You need to hit and release the sprint button again to allow the game to "catch up" with the state of the key.

    100% replicable in spots where micro loadscreens always come up (for example you get 2 or even 3 moving from dragonclaw keep to bruma).

    Cc burst is how things die. Talons whip. Fossilize powerlash. Wait on Skoria and leap. Magdk bread and butter.

    I used to always break free when facing other magdks until I started running with this well known 1vXer who’d just stand in the cc and heal. Now I break free when feared (and usually try to leap the poor NB who feared me cause a little pressure and they usually disengage and try to reset). However, talons? Just stand in that crap and heal.

    Pop an immovable and yolo in. Resist the urge to break free EVERY TIME you’re cc’d.

    EVERY little thing somebody can’t be bothered to learn to counter shouldn’t be nerfed. 1v1 cc is not op. 1vX Kite and LOS.

    When I run into more than one player I pop an immovable. I mist around something and try to spread the dummies out. Makes for exciting fights.

    I've had it happen a few times now inside of keeps and outposts while in combat with other players.

    Well according to my buff screen I'm immune to crowd control for the next 5,000 years in Cyrodiil. Of course this doesn't make me immune to accidentally rolling off a tower and encountering a 50 man zerg that brings me back to the days I used to drop the soap in the prison showers.

    It isn't about what people can counter it is about what is and isnt fun. Being crowd controlled all the time in pve or pvp isnt fun game play.

    In PvE every enemy is either snaring, stunning or knocking you back. In PvP it's the same. Crowd control everywhere. And the worst part about it is the buggy diminishing return / break free system. PvP is stun, stun, stun, kick, knock back, stun, stun, knock back.

    Don't get me wrong, CC is absolutely necessary and makes the game more challenging. But at the moment it's make-or-break and it's no fun.

    I don't get CC'd because I'm a Stamblade and know how to use "break free".

    I do get CC'd because despite playing stamina the game is broken. Spamming CC's at a player can often result in them being unable to break free or being CC'd again before CC immunity is registered. This is exploited by groups of players across ESO.

    CC immunity potions are no reliable counter either. Their duration has been nerfed and you can be CC'd while using them which results in a consumed potion for nothing. If the game worked properly either you wouldn't get to use the potion or you wouldn't be CC'd depending on which was registered first. Because the game is broken there are lots of hiddeb glitches that are exploited by players seeking the least common denominator for a win.

    This is a bug, you are immune to petrify and a few other skills while it is up. You need to relog when it happens.

    yes it's back and i've had it come up more than once in the same fight.

    CC's in game should be minimal. There's no honour and skill defeating someone/thing that cannot fight back for x seconds.

    Well for starters most games don't have this stupid ZOS style "SOFT" and "HARD" CC BS going on....

    CC should be CC, end of story, get rid of soft/hard BS.

    CC Immunity is bugged/broken even without lag so it's a worthless mechanic right now.

    Then throw in lag and glitches/exploits in pvp.

    What comes out?

    Players that spam a mixture of hard cc, soft cc, then exploit the fact CC immunity does not work, is laggy, buggy and can't tell the difference between soft and hard cc so does not count 90% of CC as CC......then throw in some glitches to insta gib a few people.....

    It is basically a long line of MULTIPLE ISSUES that have gone UNADDRESSED FOR YEARS that have ACCUMULATED into the MESS we call PVP....

    The ZOS ignored glitches, exploits, bugs, poor performance, broken mechanics have gone on so long they have now mutated and are now being abused so much by players, pvp is in the worst state it's ever been. Then throw in some broken OP proc sets just to top it off.....coz you know, we did not have enough issues and ZOS wanted some more.....

    Now you have to ask the question now you see the issues, do you think, knowing from experience of ZOS's LACK OF ACTION ON ANY OF THESE ISSUES, do you think they will address any of them anytime soon or EVER?

    Answer = This one does not think so.

    Conclusion = This one think's it will only get worse.

    its bad. it seems Zos dont understand how frustrating this game is when you can't move. combat should have CC's and they should have counters- but the immunity is an essential part of player strategy, when i have immunity- i think- this is my time to attack - instead- i get hit with a snare- that forward momentum or shuffle only alleviates for a second. i really hope ZOS wake up and get to fixing these things fast- cos people are leaving by the droves.

    Zos could probably eliminate alot of server side calculations by combining hard and soft cc and just treat them as only cc.

    Friend, surely you have dealt with this absurd amount of CC in this game since Dragon Bones. Last night I was ready to pull my hair out screaming, laughing, and crying all at the same time after just 2 hours in Vivec. Not just players spamming CC from all directions (Yeah, hi there Rune cage) but the npc's at resources are just as ear steaming irritating. I had to actually laugh at one point as myself and another DC were taking a resource. They went up the tower to deal with the mage and I charged the 4 at the flag. I am not kidding you at all or in anyway exaggerating....inside of 5 seconds I was rooted/snared 3 times back to back to back.

    I forget what it's called, but it's the green bubble that knocks you to your knees for its duration. I was hit with it, broke free, instantly hit again by the same thing, broke free AGAIN and instantly a 3rd time locked down again. Man, this garbage has GOT to be reduced. Sinerel, I hate to sound like I'm making a threat, but this has me seriously considering my sub at this point. It is a genuine debacle of game design. It isn't just annoying, it's infuriating to be out of control of you character on such a routine basis.

    They should just remove most crowd control from the game, its stupid anyway. I remember when games didnt have crowd control and it was actually about fighting not preventing fighting.

    IMO, CC skills are just furiously annoying and bring absolutely nothing positive to the game. So fun being ganked, CC spammed, rooted, and executed. And why should a friggin' bug or wolf be able to CC me? I love this game (when I can log in) but the annoyance factor goes over the top sometimes. Makes me wonder if the developers are a cynical bunch.

    ANY hard CC shouldn't last longer than 2 seconds and CC immunity should be 5 seconds.

    in a PVP world infested with buggy 4 second fear CCs, 4 second incaps, 5 (WTF?)second rune cages. 80% of your stamina is spent breaking free in a fight. If you are magicka class, just RIP.

    and then they put sets like Zaan in the game and say "just move away from the enemy to avoid 20k unblockable damage within a few seconds and you are fine"

    I know the cc you mean the guards use. I talons them, all, fossilize one for the powerlash and heals. Not so very bad. They are definitely killable solo. Keep at it.

    Man, let's be clear...I am no n00b to Cyro and resource taking. What I'm talking about is instantaneous before you can get anything off at all yourself. I do the same thing you do once I'm finally done being spam CC'ed. I solo those things all the fricking time, whilst being spam cc'ed. "Keep at it". Are you effing kidding me?

    as much as i hate to be that guy, it sounds like you have an L2P issue. aside from cc break bugs which arent intentional obv, CC is one of the few things to be in a fine state right now, tho i wish magsorcs required a bit more skill to be strong offensively. if youre talking about pve, its already easy enough what on earth are you talking about

    snares are definitely lasting too long tho. perma 70% snare whenever im fighting literally anyone is ridiculous. its one of the things that gets me killed the most when im 1vXing and fitting a greatsword when melee magblades got accidentally nerfed hard last patch in addition to fitting forward momentum on my front bar is kinda impossible for my setup. snares stronger than 50% should last like 4 secs max.

    Totally agree being thrown around like a hacky sack every two seconds is not fun.. I wonder if Zos has any idea what fun and enjoyable game play even is..
